Re: Halloween 2009.
Sighlent, that dress with the tiara is really cute. I was about to say that it was... incredibly short, but you said that that was the point, so I'll say no more. Don't forget to wear some warm stalkings under it. You're super skinny, so I bet you get cold easily.
Personally, I have a really hard time allowing myself to do slutty costumes. This could be my insecurities about my body, but I'm also kind of conservative about what I'll wear.
The least conservative costume I've ever worn was when I was fifteen, and I dressed as Magenta from The Rocky Horror Picture Show. The dress was really short, but I wore tight, black shorts beneath it.
I was a fox morph for Halloween 2007.
I was Alice for Halloween 2008.
I'm hoping to get better pictures with better lighting this year. ^^_^^

Wow Kathryn you make the PERFECT Alice!!! I think those pictures are really good!!! Though you're right about the lighting.
As for the slutty thing, I normally don't do it either but I'm not doing it for everyone else, just for my husband. XD

On another Halloween note, whenever I get my first house I want to decorate it in preparation for a zombie apocalypse. That means boarding up the windows, fencing off the yard, placing out fake bodies all bloodied and shot up, and writing signs up on the roof. Perhaps spraying blood colored stuff on the walls. You know, what you would expect to see in the middle of a zombie invasion
The only problem is the cost in fixing the house after I put holes in the wall and screw up the paint. But that is why i want to do it the first year I get the house. Another problem is convincing my wife to let me do it...
You could always buy everything you need then hide it. Then when the wife is at work do it all in one day! She won't be too mad. I kid btw don't do this.
On the subject of Halloween, I have not dressed up for it in....4 years. The 4 years I was leaving alone in Seattle and in college(Ok so I was living alone for 3 years on the 4th Amanda moved in with me) , so I suppose I was going as a "starving college student." But the last time I went trick or treating I was 16 mostly because my girlfriend at the time had never gone. She had a good time. But after that I had mostly stuck with decorating the house and scaring people. Always a good time that.

Re: Halloween 2009.
Aww. Thanks, Sighlent. ^^_^^
I don't... ever dress slutty, but if I was just doing it for my lover it wouldn't be so bad. It's not like the outfit would remain in place for long anyway. XD
Squall, you should dress up this year! I think everyone on FoG should make a point to dress up and share their Halloween photos! It would be awesome!

If you did that I'd save up enough money to dress up as Stion Gyas. Silk blindfold and all.
Admittedly, it wouldn't be quite so expensive as your suit of

Re: Halloween 2009.
See that's worse than mine!!! But it's still really cute. I like your ideas Anaris. I think it's adorable CJ's going to be Robin - it makes me lol. I don't know why. "Robin to the batmobile!" I love B&R. <3
And I agree with you Kathryn, we all should dress up so we can post pictures! It'll be super fun!
I'm still looking for something to do with my make-up and hair! >_<
I kinda want like a frosty silver look for my makeup and with my hair it's going to be sparkly with my tiara and I'm thinking about painting some strands white. If anyone finds any possible ideas please let me know! I'm always open to them.

Re: Halloween 2009.
Well, near Halloween, Wal-Mart sells that hair glitter in the spray cans. You could find a silvery glitter for your hair for that.

I could have sworn that I said how adorable that costume is for Taeo. If I didn't, I'm really sorry. I must have just lost my train of thought before posting or something. I honestly do think he'll be absolutely adorable in it.

It was pretty cute.
My parents gave him a sucker and he drooled all over that costume. XD
Now...
I'm having to pick between Handy Manny and Elmo... D:
I think Handy Manny would be cuter...
Edit::
Of course...He could be Spongebob. : O

Re: Halloween 2009.
I'm probably going as Guy Fawkes. In the past, I've done Shrek, a viking (or Minnesota Vikings Fan with an axe, your pick) Colonel Kurtz or Che Guevara.
The costumes are usually thrown together from materials I have on hand, which include a 'bald' cap, various types of greasepaint and a horned metal helmet that I used to wear while drinking in college.
I'm using my graduation robes this year. There's also a 'costume' party for a bachelor party where we all have to suit up, so I have to, unfortunately wear a suit (which I hate doing) but I also have like the most perfectly flamboyantly flaming metrosexual tie that I'd never wear at work. A bad gift from a few years ago that a girlfriend gave me...a navy blue and neon blue vines Versace joint.
Anyway, the bachelor party's gonna be close to Halloween and involves suiting up but then playing laser tag. There were to be strippers, but some of the wives got pissed about it (not the bride to be, she's a secure woman) so that got nixed. It'll be lasertag and then poker with cigars...which means I'll certainly be sending my suit to the dry cleaner afterward.
Realistically painted cardboard may well be a better option, you know. You don't have to be so authentic that you devalue your home in the process.
That's a good idea though, I might rip that off this year. I have enough cardboard, I could probably get it done pretty quickly. Only two windows and a door need it, some old clothes stuffed with leaves and a little fake blood, along with a sign.
Oh, and some shell casings. The ultimate touch is shell casings. Though that might be expensive to do, as it requires buying and then shooting ammo, unless you know someone that has brass laying around. Except usually those guys are freaks that want to reload their brass.

TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT EVERYONE!
I'm charging my camera now so I can take plenty of pictures once I'm finished getting ready. I really hope my costume turns out right! I put ALOT of thought into it!!!

Re: Halloween 2009.
Aw! Theo and Cj's costumes are adorable. I totally wish my parents would let me dress my baby sis as princess Lea but alas I cannot. ::sigh::
So, it wasn't Halloween but yesterday I was at a Pre-Halloween party! : D Here's my costume! I'd like to say that I have sexy pictures, but most of them I'm both illegally drunk and laughing like a baboon.(Or, on the verge of laughing like a baboon.)
Tada! Batwoman and Robyn! Dani is good at looking comically serious. Me? Not so much, I totally burst into giggles after the flash went off.
I'm sliding down to the Batcave!!!
The auto timer was about to go off, and I didn't know what to do. . . So I did this.

You should post these pictures here, too. They're great! I'm definitely digging the gold tights. It's obvious now how necessary they were. XD
I think it's great that you're smaller than your Batwoman because Robin was always smaller than Batman. ^^_^^
