Lightsaber colors for Roleplayers

I had done this research a long time ago . . . well, for SWG (Star Wars Galaxies). I've reposted it on the new SW:ToR (Star Wars the Old Republic) forums. It has been fairly well received and I thought I would share it here. I didn't see a reference library area or maybe I'm overlooking it, but this seemed like the next best place. If you like it and would want it posted here as well, just let me know.

As I said in the post, take it or leave it, makes no difference to me. I just offer it as one possible interpretation.

Oh, nice! That's really interesting. I hadn't thought about the lightsaber colors possibly indicating anything, but those make sense. Thanks for sharing!

I played a couple Star Wars role-plays, and I was always a Kel Dor with a yellow lightsaber staff. ^^ I did the same thing in Jedi Academy, AFTER the role-play, so that was a real treat.

Anyway, I guess that means I'd pick a yellow lightsaber.
Second choice? Green.
Third choice, Red.

I've heard a bit about this before. I've always been attracted to a purple lightsaber, and the description fits my personality quite well.
Jaina Solo used a purple lightsaber, and I enjoy her character very much!

It is funny, because blue is my favorite color, yet in SWG, the character I created was drawn to a yellow one. That was before I did the color research and found that yellow actually fit the character perfectly later on.

Makes me wonder if there is some subconscious thing going on we all don't understand. Or maybe some of us do.
