A GALAXY UNDER SIEGE

A Republic in need of heroes, an Empire hungry for conquest.



After three hundred years of silence, the Sith Empire returns to the known galaxy with a vengeance, invading systems in a series of audacious offensives at the behest of their Emperor and taking the Galactic Republic, complacent from three centuries of peace and calm since the Mandalorian Wars, by surprise. The Republic, beleaguered and desperate, begins to scramble to find a way to stop the seemingly invincible Sith Empire juggernaut before it overcomes the entire Galaxy.

Now is a time for heroes and villains; the main story arc in STAR WARS: NEXUS takes place in the era of the Great Galactic War, well after the events of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II and just before the events that set the stage for Star Wars: The Old Republic, the upcoming LucasArts MMORPG, three thousand years before the rise of Darth Vader.

Our forums focus on this time period, which allows wide latitude for creativity and originality, while keeping in the Star Wars Universe. Because relatively little is done on the period, so far, there is a lot of latitude for fans to write without feeling so hemmed in by an overcrowding of events in the Star Wars Universe; while it is a 'dark' period between major canon events, the setting is nonetheless familiar territory for Star Wars fans.

Of course, there are options besides the Great Galactic War; STAR WARS: NEXUS has sections up for every era of Star Wars, and encourages players to branch out and experiment.

If you are a Star Wars fan, a writer and a roleplayer, STAR WARS: NEXUS is a natural fit, with a mature community intended to promote creativity and an ethic of support for each other, with minimal administrative restraints on the storyline; we are a community that encourages you to write freely and create your plots autonomously, without having to feel as if you have to ask someone for permission for every movement your characters make. We hope to build a wider community of Star Wars fans seeking a more sophisticated, intricate sort of role-playing experience.

We're working on the same premises as this place; just post your interest checks and all that. The player controls their own plotline and we intend to stay the heck out of people's stuff...except as players, of course.

Yay! I've been away and for that I apologize. Life's back on track and now I can not only get going again at Nexus, but with finishing up a bio and such for FOG. Looking forward to being at both places at once!
