Yes, I do feel bad. True it was difficult to take care of, but well worth it. It'd still have it's length and natural color if I wasn't quite so tempermental. I got angry, at realatively close friend of mine. He 'forbade' me from cutting my hair after I'd teased that it tried to kill me in my sleep. The shears seemed really inviting after that. Now I'm under the debate of whether I want to grow my hair back out, or if I like my new style and color.

Yeah. I agree. That is a good picture of you. OMG... I also agree that I could never cut my hair that short. First, I know I look like crap with short hair, and second... it's sooo long and pretty! My hair is my best feature. I do wish I knew how to style it properly to make it even prettier... I don't really know much about beautification of myself... = I just know how to trim the ends. XD

OMG... My hair is a monster, too! It doesn't really attack me so much as it attacks others... It's cunning and conniving, getting people when they least expect it. It also likes to drop into food and get it all over me... or grab trees when I try to walk under them... or... get stuck in car doors when I shut them... It doesn't like me... or anyone else... If I spend the night at someone's house, a week later, they'll randomly, out of nowhere, find my hair suddenly wrapped around their fingers or ankles. Once, my friend put on a necklace that's supposed to be long, but a strand my hair had wound itself so tightly around the chain that it had become like a choker. We have no idea how it happened because she hadn't worn that necklace in ages... >.>;;

The Melancholy Spirit -- Did you mean try the leave-in conditioner for when I keep my hair curly? I've tried it in the past to try and keep the frizz down and my hair soft, but all it ended up doing was making my hair kind of oily.

Well, that works too but I was thinking if you used it after straightening your hair it might help to keep the moisture from making it revert back to being curly as bad. Also, if it made your hair oily you can try using a different brand. The stuff I have tends to make my hair a bit stiff, but that is fixed by running a towel down it and basically wiping off the excess.

I'm not the most creditable source for hair advice though... wish I was, but alas I'm not. :/

Aww... You guys make me wish I had gone to prom... I had this issue where I didn't want to go without a boyfriend, and I didn't have a boyfriend at the time. I also told myself the only way I would go would be if one had been a masquerade theme, but that didn't happen. I'm actually really pissed because for my senior prom, the majority wanted masquerade, but because the juniors basically host the prom for the seniors, they vote, and they voted for Candyland. I was super pissed.

So yeah... I've never really... had the opportunity to dress up nice and look pretty. My friend's wedding will be the first time since I was a flower girl when I was five. XD I can't wait to get pictures, though.

I didn’t go to prom either, Kathryn. The only difference is I don’t regret not going. Didn’t have a girlfriend then (still don’t, been single my entire life thus far) but that wasn’t what held me back. Our prom was nonsense, just a bunch of people grinding up against each other to a constant barrage of boring music. Not my kind of thing. Plus, I don’t own a suit. And, had I tried to go the way I would feel comfortable I probably would have been thrown out of the place. ~chuckles~

A masquerade theme would be cool though. Ours didn’t even have a theme from what I heard. I also don’t dance, at all…

My mom made me go to formal...
It was fun to go with friends. I did have a date though, so I guess that makes a difference. I don't dance much either. I do like to get dressed up though! That is my favorite part (and that picture shows my favorite dress!)

My mother didn't really ever make me do anything. I didn't even walk the stage at my graduation. Was going to at first, because she wanted me to. But, then they decided we had to wear a suit under the robes even though those things cover from neck to toe. I wasn't willing to pay the money for that and neither was my mother. Grateful that I was going to do something I loathed for her anyway, she told me I didn't have to do it.

Had I gone to prom, I'd probably have tried to go dressed like the vocalist (or the guitarist) from Moonspell in their Scorpion Flower video. ^^

I've a few more pictures from Alaska, and I'm excited to share them! Not as picturesque as the last bunch, these were taken from a different camera, and were more spare of the moment, but enjoy all the same!



I got my very first carepackage about a week into my trip. I was a little confused when I saw that it came from one of the firestations I worked at two years ago (which happen to have been my favorite and all my closest friends worked there.) When I opened up the box, there was this gnome I haven't seen for years staring up at me. Previously, we had all pitched in and bought it as a joke to the fire-chief who was going on vacation. We hid it in his bags and when he got to Hawaii, there was the gnome. So it became tradition to take pictures of him amidst our vacation. I haven't the slightest clue what these mushrooms are, but they were growing everywhere, so I thought it was perfect.



My dad ended up spending three days with me when I got to take a break; we went fishing. I was snapping random shots, and got lucky catching the seagull going into a dive, and seemed to be standing on water.



This is one of my favorites. I got to spend a week with my dad after leaving Katmai, and over Labor Day weekend he took me Halibut fishing with some friends. Ended up spotting whales (I'm fairly certain they were humpback) and the neatest part was when they began singing, you could feel it come up through the bottom of the boat.

Iceburg, again this was taken durring Labor Day weekend, just before we saw the whales.



The bear that I suspect ate my cell phone. I got closer than I would have liked, as you can see. This isn't zoomed, I was close enough to touch him, and thankfully he just kept walking by after sniffing me. Me and the guide about had a heart-attack.

OMG Bear!

Seeing that picture makes me think of my mom (who has much more wild stories than I ever will...)

She was hiking in Yosemite with a bunch of people, and they were at the top of Vernal Falls just chiling, when a big bear came out of nowhere to get the food. So everyone runs away, up on a big rock, and there is this four year old still down by the bear (his father had took off without him...) My mom runs down there, throws her backpack at the bear and picks up the kid and brings him to the group of people...where they proceeded to sit and watch the bear eat all the food!

Bears aren’t really all that dangerous, unless they have a cub with them. Then you’d better not get anywhere close. But, just a lone bear won’t be any harm typically unless provoked. My favorite memory of a bear was out deer hunting with my dad and his friend. Stopped on the road we watched a yearling across the creek up in a tree trying to get berries from a nearby vine. Then the branch broke and he fell about ten-fifteen feet before proceeding to tear the hell out of the surrounding foliage. I really wish we’d had a camera that day…

So cool. The only wild animals I've ever seen are coyotes...and maybe bigfoot. But I digress...

Oh, I'm not saying to take a risk. ~chuckles~ Was just a general statement. I've seen a lot of wildlife, thanks to growing up with a father who took me hunting and fishing constantly as a child.
