Shazaam!

Is there an upcoming movie that has caught your particular attention, or perhaps there is already a movie out in theaters that has you double dosing your adrenaline rush? Well FOG's Movie Box Office is the place to sit back and openly discuss your expectations of upcoming movies or debate the characteristics and success, or shitiness, of movies already released.

YouTube video trailers are always welcome.

As I've said before Transformers 2 made me cry for my destroyed childhood.

Looking forward to Public Enemies though!

Travolta, Williams and so many others are in there. Talk about star power! XD

I'm sure everyone is excited about this.

As a HUGE fan of the original books. I'm a little worried about this movie, but if any actor can keep Holmes as one of the most beloved characters of all time, it's RDJ.

P.S. The Hammer throw gets me laughing every freakin' time.

I heard that Transformers 2 was terrible! Why was it bad? I saw and liked the first, but it wasn't like that?

I haven't seen anything at all recently! *sad face* I want to see Up, Away We Go, Land of the Lost, My Sister's Keeper, and Terminator Salvation.

Awww, now I feel fully depressed for not having seen any of those yet. Sad

The 'Old Dogs' trailer can be seen when you watch 'The Proposal' which if you have not seen I STRONGLY, like insane crazy STRONGLY advice going and seeing.

As well as 'The Hangover.'

Comedic movies are making a comeback my friends...and they all begin with these two. ^_^

UP, was also another amazing movie Fate. Although I feel I must advise you it does have it's actual 'I'm crying' tear jerker moments. I actually have a friend whose sister won't let her kids watch it because she thinks it's too sad. I don't agree with that, seeing as how my 3 year old niece LOVED it. But then again she is only 3 and hasn't exactly grasped the concept of death yet.

I LOVE HER SO...!

Yes Up and Angels and Demons are the two best movies this summer so far. Well see how Public Enemies and Inglorious Bastards go.

As for Transformers Fate, it's a Micheal Bay film. Which means before you go into the theaters you have to throw away that it will have a good plot, good acting, it will make sense, and that you will see a lot of sexual jokes, and well again that it will make no fucking sense. If you can do that you will enjoy the movie, I just cant do that.

To me it felt like they phoned the fucking thing in. That he knew it was gonna make tons of money so he didn't care how shitty it was. Like Spiderman 3. I mean Pixar could do that. They could paste their name to anything and I promise you it will make tons of money but they actually care about their work.

I actually seriously enjoyed Transformers 2. Then again that's because I went into the movie with the mentality of not taking it seriously. If you accept it for a no-plot, beefed up special effects masterpiece, then it's not so bad.

"Inglorious Basterds" pisses me off. I know what it's going to wind up like. The same overcooked crap Taratino always produces. I just find a bunch of scalphunting GI's running around behind German lines in occupied France to be too much to take, speaking as a history guy.

Time for someone to step up and either re-release 'L'Armee des Ombres" or a movie about the real guys who parachuted into France and helped organize the maquis into a countrywide guerrilla movement in support of the allied invasions.

Oh, and I'm waiting for Brüno. Bated breath, baby. I'm gonna enjoy the hell out of that one.

I respect the idea behind Cohen's work, but I usually can't sit through it without getting bored. Borat and the Ali G show weren't revelatory for me.

Not sure if any of you are familiar with the movie Total Recall, the 1990 Arnold Schwarzenegger sci-fi action movie, but word is they're remaking it. Thought that was neat. Razz

Indeed Hello Me and the wife will be watching the Potter when it comes out.

I heard of that as well. I can see the movie blowing the original out of the water or being a really....really really....REALLY bad movie.

Total Recall was a fun movie, but the acting sucks ((mainly because Arnold can't act to save his life)) in it. I don't except a remake to be any better. Remakes usually- but not always- suck.

I watched the unrated "Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story" and it was funny for schlock humor. Tim Meadows was the funniest thing in it, though.

Yeah that's how remakes normally work. Hit or miss. As a fan of the first movie, despite the piss poor 90's acting, I'm hoping it isn't a miss.

It was alright.

But what was funny, was The Hangover! lol!

I am watching this 'vigilante' flick with Kevin Bacon called "Death Sentence." It's about a guy whose kid is killed by a gang of South Carolina biker types and goes on revenge.

The bad guys in the movie? They got every "Man of the Year" from 1997-present out of "Meth Head Magazine" to play a bunch of bumbling morons that shoot at people in the middle of downtown in a city. Implausibly enough, there's no police response despite this downtown gunfire, despite the fact that downtown of even a small city have private armed security and a heavy police presence.

All the same, it's an inventive revenge action flick, so long as you don't think hard.

Oh, I thought the fake 'chin tattoos' were a little over the top, too.

Brüno was excellent; some people left in the middle of the seance scene, but overall that movie was hilarious. I mean, that was well worth the money to see it in the theater.

Not that I understand why people got so upset and left, but I guess it's not for people that are easily offended or have very low-key senses of humor. I never quite grew up, so I, of course, loved it.

I never understand why people pay so much money (at least it's a lot here) and then leave before the end of the movie. Yeah, it may be bad and you may not like it for some reason, but why leave? I sat through The Strangers and I thought that movie was HORRIBLE.

Either way, I can't wait until the new Harry Potter comes out!! I want to get them today, but my small city is having Heritage Day and it's going to be a pain in the but to get around. So, tomorrow it is!!

Gah, I want to see Brüno and Harry Potter so bad! ^_^ I definitely will be seeing Harry Potter, come next weekend. (Hopefully, we can get in. It's crazy in these Chicago suburbs, I tell yah.)

Yeah, I don't understand why people would leave during a movie either. They aren't cheap. If you decided to put forth the money to see the movie in the theater, then you must have thought it was worth it, so stay. As much as I want to see Brüno, it's not something Tony and I are going to see in theaters. We'll just wait till it's out.

I still need to see Up, too! I've heard so many great things about it.

Yeah, that's how we are too, Fate. If the movie doesn't seem amazing from the trailer, we wait until we can get it out of theater.

And Up is supposed to be sooo good! I want to see it. Oh, and the other day my friend was telling me that The Hangover is really funny. So, that's something else I want to catch some time soon.

I'll probably catch "District 9" next in theaters. It may be the typical schlock summer thriller, but it at least looks like it has potential.
