Re: Boot Hill OOC
Okay...now we are getting moving.
...just in time for me to take 4 days to head to St. Louis for the Missouri Valley Conference tournament (Go Bluejays!) I will plan on posting on Monday or Tuesday of next week regardless, but if someone who has already started wants to jump in with a second post that will be perfectly fine with me.

Maybe in the four days you're gone, Whisper will make her post?

If she hasn't, it's safe to assume we can move on. Looking forward to your post Aesalon!

Re: Boot Hill OOC
I'm kind of stuck on how I should join in, so please don't halt the thread's progress on my behalf.
I'm still kind of intimidated by RP, it seems. I shall keep a nice perch on my viewer's branch and stalk the site a bit more.

Well, why don't we help you? We don't want people here to feel intimidated. Also, this is a casual role-play, so as long as you just have a couple of paragraphs, you'll meet the requirements. As long as you've got that much, no one is going to fault you for anything you write. We all started somewhere, and I have to admit that I've only gotten pretty decent within the last five years or so even though I've been role-playing for thirteen.
Do you have even vague ideas for how to place her in that saloon? One that I thought of while rereading the profile you wrote is that she could be there fixing something (like a pump for the beer)? You did say she's known as a "fix-it-all" around town, so that's the first thing that popped into my mind. It's also possible, since she's supposed to be curious about things outside of engineering, that she's simply exploring the less savory aspects of social encounters.
Anyway, if you don't like or feel inspired by either of those ideas, don't hesitate to say something. We're more than happy to help try to inspire you and/or help you with writing.

^ What she said.
We'd be glad to help you get a start and please don't feel intimidated. Heck we all started small and practise will make it come more naturally and easily.

Also, I think we all feel a bit intimidated at times. I know I do! But it always ends up being tons of fun in the end.

Apologies
Sorry all - I have been (obviously) delayed. My 20 month old has been sick (and his final teeth are coming in at the same time), so I have been spending a LOT of time 'working from home' and watching 'Finding Nemo' over and over and over...
I will work a post out in the next couple of days.

I don't know how many reports, essays, presentations, tests, classes, shifts and who knows what else were completely ruined by my child's teething.
I.E. I know EXACTLY what you are going though. Hope he gets better soon and you catch a break!
