Howdy.

Hey, my name is Teal (no, not really). I just got myself introduced with the world of roleplaying. Actually, I used to roleplay a lot before, but only in Chatango. Recently, I've signed up in some roleplaying guilds, this being one of them. I am a, let's say, fairly skilled roleplayer. That's about it.

Thanks. Yeah, the community so far seems nice, but what worries me is the huge lack of activity. Has it always been like this?

It has been slow here lately. No, it has not always been this way, but yes, it has been this way lately. There is still activity here, but the posts are few and far between at times.

It is definitely a bit slow right now. Unfortunately that is due both to the Holidays and a general lack of interest recently by a majority of our more senior members. We have been trying to hold on to the new members but...
If you disappear on us we will hunt you down...

Hopefully we'll be on an upswing for 2013.

Ahem...as the resident scientist here, I have a hypothesis for the slow amount of activity!
I've noticed that we tend to have a lot of members in their late teens/20s. Seeing as that is the demographic generally associated with high school, higher education, starting families, and generally trying to stay on the treadmill of the REAL WORLD (Scary, I know...), it doesn't always leave a lot of time for leisure writing. However, I have noticed that, while the RPs I've joined progress slowly, none of the writers have outright dropped out. We get our real-world stuff done, stay in touch, and write when we have time.
