Re: Michael Jackson dies.
Lol, well, that's true - same here! Being able to dance period would be cool. At least you can somewhat. I just... *shakes head* xD
Aw, I should watch Thriller. I don't know if I've ever really seen the entire thing. People are celebrating Michael in the streets, listening to his music, doing the moon walk, and so forth in places like Harlem.

Ok let me clear this up, I can't dance! I think I can dance so therefore my confidence makes it look better. Especially when I've had a few. I can say though that I'm pretty amazing at doing the Cupid Shuffle. A few weeks back I went to a club with some friends and like after that I had several guys approach me and was like 'Whoa there cow poke. I'm married.' If that didn't work I told them I was gay.

You could, but you'd have to give up your first and second born to the devil to be granted those skills.

Re: Michael Jackson dies.
Haha totally. And even then you'd be sentenced to dance in hell for all of eternity.
Re: Michael Jackson dies.
Despite all of the bad things he has done, you can't argue that the man had moves. It'll be another century before dance moves of that skill will be seen on this planet again.

Re: Michael Jackson dies.
I am kinda of with Kathryn on this one I think Michael Jackson really did nothing. His early work was good, then he just went down hill and in my opinion totally crazy. I was surprised to hear he died though, I was like WHAT MICHAEL JACKSON DEAD?? That was the last thing I was expecting to hear any time soon. But ya I don't think he influenced much...except moonwalking DAMN Michael Jackson moonwalk FTW!

Hell just that little boy breaking it down makes it an epic win!
Not to mention the side lean-to. OMG. So cool. I wonder how they did that!

Why is there even a debate?
If you don't care about Michael Jackson's death there is no need to justify it. And if somebody does care, what's it do you?

Don't be a buzzkill, Thunder.
I keep hearing "Billie Jean" all over the place when all I really want to hear is "Thriller!"

Re: Michael Jackson dies.
Sheesh, I guess they were questioning why President Obama didn't come out with a few words or a speech about Michael Jackson, like he was at fault as President for not appearing and offering his condolences to the world publicly.
Re: Michael Jackson dies.
Because in a few weeks or months or whatever once all the mourning ends the Republicans and Fox News would use his words and say that the man had praised an accused pedophile. He may take some hits now but in the long run it's the right political move. It's just like Iran, sometimes the best thing to say or do is nothing.

Re: Michael Jackson dies.
I also agree!
I heard "The Man in the Mirror" on the drive home today, and I sang to the chorus like those people you see in movies and commercials where they sing as loud as they can and bounce around in their seats. ^^_^^

Yeah, given that I'm at least the focal point of more than a few posts on here, sometimes all there is that you can say is '...huh.'
Or... I quit. hmm.

Re: Michael Jackson dies.
Well honestly.
Michael was cool when he was young.
Period.
And then...
He died, what, two weeks ago? And they still haven't done anything but run their mouths like crazy. Geez, I'm so tired of turning on the tv and flipping through my five tv channels, and seeing only Michael Jackson.
C'mon now people.
He's dead.
We have FOREVER to remember him, let's try not to do it all immediately.

Re: Michael Jackson dies.
I've actually changed my opinion on this as I've had time to think about it. I think it's really stupid that the news won't shut up about his death, and I think it's bullshit that his family is trying to get their next fifteen minutes of fame over it. I think they should just shut the hell up and let him rest in peace.
I still won't mourn him because I don't think it's right to mourn him. He was an extremely talented musician, but he was really messed up toward the end. I don't think we should mourn his death so much as celebrate his life and his music. That's his legacy that he left behind. He also has children who need a stable home life. The media needs to just leave them the hell alone, and hopefully Michael's father won't do to them what he did to his son. Hopefully their grandmother will be able to keep their grandfather in line for once.
My first opinion was just made as soon as I heard about the entire thing, and I had just gotten in a fight with someone close to me about the entire ordeal, and I was hurt, and angry, and upset when I said what I said. I hadn't had time to properly think about any of it. It was all rather sudden.

Re: Michael Jackson dies.
I...don't really like Michael Jackson's music. I guess it's not bad, but I wouldn't listen to it. Like, ever. I wouldn't whine if someone else put it on, I suppose.

Sometimes I like certain songs. I would like to get "Heal the World" out of my skull though. On that note, I'm gonna turn on my random playlist.
Most of Jackson's music does not really appeal to me, honestly. I liked him when I was a little kid, but then I liked an Alvin and the Chipmunks cover album of Beatles songs and stuff as well.
