Scifi rp anyone?

Well, I figure I should take the advice I've gotten in the complaints thread and try my hand at making an rp to try and get back in with the community and writing and all that jazz. But, before I really start sculpting something and putting a lot of effort into an rp that won't get off the ground I want to take a headcount and see just who all and how many are interested. I don't have any solid ideas yet, other than it'll probably be dark and gritty. I'lll be looking for commited people and lovers of science fiction, who'll be willing to pull their own weight in the story. I'm looking for imput as to what sort of story you guys would be interested in and the like, so please share ideas. I'm looking forward to any replies.

The only things I'd dislike would be the classic Aliens dungeon crawl through a spaceship while some insanely creepy and powerful Alien picks us off.

I have the same thoughts as Digital Muse, actually. I don't prefer the haunted alien spaceship stuff as much. It'd be cool to have a world or worlds with diverse alien species, though.

I was just talking sci-fi with some friends a few minutes ago. I can't say it's exactly my forte, but I can say I'm interested in playing it through, and have the urge to write things like a fiend. So color me interested!

So, after having my soul crushed slowly by mass effect 3 over the past week or so, my scifi ides are slow coming. However, I promise I will deliver once I regain my mind and soul from the depths of Boiware/EA hell.

Okay, so I finally nailed out a solid idea and am working on the OOC at the moment, so keep your eyes peeled in the next week or so. I'll be sure to link it here once its done and posted so that no one misses it.

I'm not sure if you're still looking for people, but this concept seems like a good warm up for my re-introduction into FoG after my long absence. I, too have been playing the Mass Effect series a great deal lately, having beaten the first game and made it most of the way through the second just this month. I think this will really help me work out a good character, no matter what role they would need to play. I'm very versatile and open to any type of story, and I'm also willing to help work out some possible ideas and provide input to the best of my abilities. Working off of another's idea will be far easier than coming up with my own. I'm looking forward to the opportunity.

Love sci-fi. I'd have to say that I would be interested, especially if we are talking different worlds/alien species. I don't like the constraints of bein on just a ship. Although the idea of crash landing on a mysterious planet is appealing. Anyway I'm excited to join a FoG roleplay.

So, I kind of had a bunch of shit hit the fan for me and never got around to this. However, now that things are better, I'll FINALLY be finishing the OOC and starting this sucker.
