Added Information:
As a role-player, I normally write quite a lot, and therefore it can take me some time to work on my posts. I do believe that good role-plays succeed by everyone involved being included equally, so that everyone feels as if their characters play important roles.
I don't usually like doing a large amount of role-plays at once because of time constraints. Please PM me to see if I am available to do a role-play.
I tend to prefer being involved in advanced-level role-plays over casual ones. I'm usually not a big fan of private one-on-one role-plays unless I'm extremely familiar with the person and we both are around the same level as writers (mostly because of the fact that they tend to move very fast, since there are only two people involved, but if I have the time, I may be interested in doing a private role-play).
As a role-player, I move at a slow to average pace. It is difficult for me to normally jump into a fast-paced role-play.

I'm a fast-paced role player and will only become involved in a role play if it has other players committed to posting more than twice a week. However, just because I'm fast-paced, does not mean I approve of one-liners. I, along with the rest of the FoG community, still expect high-quality posts, though "walls of text" aren't necessary.
I'm also not a fan of character sheets/profiles/templates, etc. I want to get to know characters by reading the story, not by looking at a schematic like I'm reviewing a patient's psych profile. Though there are exceptions to this rule (such as the current Mass Effect role play I'm about to start).
For any questions, please PM me.

I will role play in advanced, casual or private. I can role play fast, or slow.
I rely heavily on outside communcation (PMing, Facebook, E-mail) so if you can't respond to me in a timely manner, I will leave you behind.
I like players to put in equal effort, so I prefer when we can built plots/settings together, rather then entering a pre-constructed universe and/or plot.

Concerning frequency of posts, I don't have a ton of time to roleplay these days due to school and such, so if you're the type of person who gets irritated if your partner doesn't respond quickly, I may not be the person for you. =) However, no matter how long it takes, I will always eventually come up with a response post. Roleplays are never truly dead!
Concerning genres, even if I like I genre, I may not like your roleplay idea. I'm kind of picky about things; it tends to depend on whether I can come up with a character for it or not. Also, I am both interested and wary of one-on-one roleplays.

I'll start about myself as a GM. As a GM, I have TONS of ideas, mostly concerning fantasy or sci-fi concepts. Most of my concepts are as plot driven as an RP can get. Saying that, I like to keep a lot from my members, plot twists are a big part of my RP's. However, my members are a big part of my role plays and integral to said plot. In that way, I like to speak to my members outside of the RP and collaborate on posts frequently. I will accept their ideas and allow them to introduce new plot points and interesting aspects to my RP's.
As a player I tend to be a frequent poster. I admit my posts won't make you wild with anticipation or inspire visions of epicness, however I consider them to be quite adequate. My characters are usually loyal, honorable friends. However, sub or secondary characters tend to range from the conventional to absolutely absurd! Oftentimes though, my secondary character will become comic relief. I think thats about it.

Favored Gender To Play:

Added Information:
I consider myself an advanced role-player. I always strive for excellence and quality in writing.
I consider myself a dedicated role-player. In most every role-play I have been in, I have been the last one standing if it dies. Once I start a role-play, I see it as a serious commitment.
I always try to be an exceptional host, when I lead role-plays. To date, in each role-play I've tried to co-host, I consistently end up hosting it by myself, because the original host or co-host either disappears or abandons the project. <.<
I believe role-plays live or die by their hosts. If a host is dedicated, then so will the players be. If the host disappears, the role-play usually falls apart very quickly. This is because of the power both inherent and necessary in the host position. They're the ones who progress the story. If they don't, and there are no assertive players among the ranks, then the role-play stops cold. So, role-play hosts, always stick with your role-plays to the end, and be very protective against n00bs!
I enjoy exploring new cultures, languages, and worlds. My favorite role-plays are those with an inordinate amount of detail and depth, in a fantasy setting. I want to be blown away by it. Role-plays like that I cannot help but join. They draw me in because I want to explore it all and bring my own perspective of that world. I like to think I have an epic imagination. ^^
Because I normally join large role-plays, I try to limit myself to five role-plays at a time.

Re: What Genres Do You Like to Role-Play Most?
Favorite Role-Play Genres:
• Anything suitably creative or original
• Fantasy
• Sci-Fi
• Dark/Serious
• Light/Cheerful
Role-Play Genres You Generally Tend to Avoid:
• Romance is not a big thing for me, but I'll do it sometimes, just for a change of pace
• Fandoms/Anime >.<
• Anything where I'm required to have a picture
• RP's where positions are already set (i.e. Captain Purple, Princess Pink, and King Yellow)
Favored Gender To Play: :3 As a male, I tend towards that gender, but whenever I'm playing as a female, it's generally on the overpowered side. In one RP, my character used crumpets as a weapon. The others were totally unprepared for the assault, and the beautiful, frilly pink young woman ended up breaking everyone else's weapons with her delicious pastries. I think I gave them all nightmares.
Your Character Thread Link: There's a character thread place? O.o
Added Information: My RP Fetish has to be creating my own races, whether fantasy or sci-fi. I got in trouble with Dax the other day because I tried to make my character in his RP an ankylosaur XD

Re: What Genres Do You Like to Role-Play Most?
Favorite Role-Play Genres:
• Fantasy -> high, low, dark, etc. but not modern
• Sci-Fi
• Historical
• Militaristic
Favorite Fandoms:
• Lord of the Rings
• Song of Ice and Fire
• Forgotten Realms/Planescape
• Warhammer Fantasy/40K (although I'm not that versed on the settings)
• Star Wars
Role-Play Genres You Absolutely Will Not Do:
• Anything anime related
• Anything which focuses strictly on one facet of RP (strictly romance, strictly fighting, etc.)
• Romance-driven plots
• Modern
• High-school/Teen Academy and anything of the sort
• Alternate History which speculates on the outcome of the Cold War
• Werewolves/vampires
Favored Gender To Play: Male, I don't feel I can properly portray a female character in a main role.
Your Character Thread Link: Don't have one, don't need one. Check my roleplays via my profile, if you want to know how I write.
Added Information: I'm definitely a slow poster; I like working on projects at my leisure - so I'm not the person to see if you want something fast-paced. In general, I only involve myself in well-thought of, advanced-level RP's which show promise and longevity. I'm not afraid to try out new things and always seek to broaden my horizons, so if you've got an interesting idea - just shoot.
My preferred method of communication is either MSN or Skype, contact information for both can be found in my profile. For any further information, just ask me via a PM.

Re: What Genres Do You Like to Role-Play Most?
Favorite Role-Play Genres:
• Fantasy (anything but modern)
• Science Fiction
• Zombie Apocalypse
• Historical (preferably eastern hemisphere)
• I will try fandoms for any of the above
Role-Play Genres You Absolutely Will Not Do:
• Pretty much anything modern. I don't find it interesting.
• Romance-based role-plays. I am just no good at them.
• I tend to avoid casual role-plays
Favored Gender To Play:
Male, basically. I've tried a female character, and I don't think I did her justice.
Added Information:
I am dedicated to details. I am committed if I like the role-play; my biggest problem is losing interest. I am rather busy, so if I am not pulled to the keyboard I have to drag myself.
Overall, I prefer to write role-play's like I write a novel. I want it to read nicely and look great. I comb for errors and inconsistencies, and I try to write very lengthy posts. I would say that I am strictly an Advanced role-player, though I have been in a few Casuals.
I like rules in a role-play, but I also like the freedom to create. Rules keep me centered and focused, while creating keeps me interested. I am a world-builder, and if I have a chance to participate in creating a world then I am hooked.
I prefer communicating through the OOC thread of a role-play, though I understand the occasional necessity for Private Messages. I strongly believe that anything story-related should be kept to the OOC.

• Mostly any fandoms (Star Wars, Star Craft, Warcraft, Lotr, etc.)

I am generally interested in a lot of things, so just PM me to see if I like it. Chances are, I will.
Role-Play Genres You Absolutely Will Not Do:

Again, the list is not exhaustive, but this pretty much sums up what I will never do. As I mentioned before, PM me first!

Added Information:
I can post at varying lengths. If I really like the setting, story or other writers, I can go at a very fast pace, but if I go slow it doesn’t mean I hate everything! It generally varies from RP to RP, but basically I will follow the general mood and pace of the RP set by the writers.
If you wish to PM me with ideas, I really like making plots/stories/world building, so I will jump in without a doubt, even if I am too busy with too many RP’s. Do not hesitate to contact me for other things, though! Chances are, if you PM me, I will like your RP and idea.

Dax's little... friends?
Added Information:
I can post at varying lengths. If I really like the setting, story or other writers, I can go at a very fast pace, but if I go slow it doesn’t mean I hate everything! It generally varies from RP to RP, but basically I will follow the general mood and pace of the RP set by the writers.
If you wish to PM me with ideas, I really like making plots/stories/world building, so I will jump in without a doubt, even if I am too busy with too many RP’s. Do not hesitate to contact me for other things, though! Chances are, if you PM me, I will like your RP and idea.

I am a very detailed player that enjoys long term, well thought out story lines. Character and story development is important and I like to use flash backs to fill in the gaps as the story progresses. I try to make the story as realistic as possible in doing so I do not pull things out of thin air to help my character nor do I god mode. My role plays tend to be on the dark side with unknown and mystery to be solved written into the story line, hence the flash back sequences as the story progresses. I do not mind ruthlessness, violence, sex and seduction as part of the story as these are all part of real life. I have been playing for many years on different Yahoo groups and I am looking for good dedicated role players that enjoy a good real to life storyline that has a tinge of the "other world" or a bit of "Bremuda Triangle" since all of life is not explainable and there is much in the world that is not understood and much that has yet to be discovered.

Re: What Genres Do You Like to Role-Play Most?
Favorite Role-Play Genres:
• Fantasy
• Action / Adventure
• AU Cross Overs
Role-Play Genres You Absolutely Will Not Do:
• Twilight
• Sappy Romance
Favored Gender To Play:
Female, as one myself it seems easier than writing a male, i feel as though i can not do the character justice.
Added Information:
My writing is often intense, both action wise, and emotion wise (without the crying females who need men.) Most, if not all, of the females i write as are strong and powerful, usually with some sort of enhancement. (powers or combat skills.)

Re: What Genres Do You Like to Role-Play Most?
Favorite Role-Play Genres:
• Modern supernatural/fantasy/horror (I'm trying to get at the same genre here)
• Socially-nuanced plots
• Fandom crossovers (True Blood/Supernatural, in my case)
• Romance/passion
• Moral conundrums!
Role-Play Genres You Absolutely Will Not Do:
• Daywalking, baby-having vampires
• Post-apocalyptic RPs
• Combat-focused stories
• (for now) Characters other than those I have listed (I may add more if the community inspires me to do so!)
• Intensely gritty RPs
Favored Gender To Play:
Male. I'm female in real life, but find a male character more interesting to write. I've done this ever since I've been a serious player. Most of my prominent NPCs tend to be women, though!

Added Information:
Currently, I've just got one character and he's only suited for the True Blood/Supernatural crossover universe in which he's played.
I write posts thick with inner monologue, because I love writing it! I also love reading it. I hope you do, too!
While I do romance RPs, keep in mind that monogamy is a foreign concept to him. He is sexually moral to his own compass, so he isn't "cheating" on anyone. Just know that your character will not be his only love, and is unlikely to become such. If you're cool with that OOC, though, bring whatever drama about that you like IC!
On the topic of romance RPs, further, I will not simply shove two incompatible characters together.
Re: combat scenes. . .my character does work that may call for them, and I'm not entirely opposed, but they're scenes I still need practice at writing, so I want them more as something occasional in my RPs, rather than the focus.
Re: 'gritty'. Basically, if your writing approach is all into describing the filth on the streets and how hard the world is, how futile it is to try and change it because everything is inherently shitty, greedy and evil, etc., we're probably not sharing a lot of interests. There may be exceptions to this, but, don't expect it, generally speaking.

Re: What Genres Do You Like to Role-Play Most?
Favorite Role-Play Genres:
• High Fantasy
• Dark Fantasy
• Dystopian
• Fandom (Pokemon, Digimon, The World Ends With You, and Touhou specifically)
• Medieval Fantasy
• Postapocalyptic
Role-Play Genres You Absolutely Will Not Do:
• Smut
• Generic, unimaginative plots
Favored Gender To Play:
Male, will play female if fitting or necessary.
Your Character Thread Link:
Currently none.
Added Information:
You can tell I enjoy fantasy settings.
As a GM, I may take a bit setting up a roleplay, however this is to ensure the plot is worked out properly. I require profiles to be sent to me before they can be posted in the signup thread; this is to avoid needless clutter and confusion. My plots tend to center around my high fantasy world Euthora and its corresponding canon, deities, species, et cetera. I have another roleplaying forum to run and am involved in other offsite roleplays, so I do have to balance my time.
As a roleplayer, my posting frequency can be a little erratic, but in general I attempt to post as soon as I can, if I am required to. Even if I do happen to forget, a gentle nudge via private message is usually enough to get me to post, and the more I enjoy a roleplay the more inclined I am to post.
Getting this out now: I am a furry, but I will absolutely not do any sexual roleplays no matter whether it's anthro- or human-based. The only relevance this holds is that my characters often, at least superficially, have something to do with animals.
