Treasure of the Seven Seas
Name-
Arto Beniz [ben-eez]
Age-
16
Occupation-
Cabin boy
Appearance-
Arto
He wears a plain linene tunic and brown briches, not exactly glamorous but hey, he's a cabin boy. He also has glasses but he hides them in the loft where he sleeps so that they don;t get broken, he doesn't know what he would do if he couldn't read after all.
Personality-
Arto holds knowledge in high regard, but by far his favorite subject is legends and myths. His teacher often scolded him for this, because a scholar had to be well balanced, but Arto would favor the subject anyway. He often spent hours and hours amongst scrolls just reading, deciphering. He's quite adept at many mythilogical codes. He is a sponge for information, but can also be quite exasperated at any who don't know as much as he does. But at the same time would be happy to tell anyone what they'd like to know. He's a chatty guy once you get him going, but recently he's had to learn to shut up. He has a taste for adventure and a cunning curiosity. And a big heart made of gold to boot.
A bit of an update on him-
He was captured to hold as ransom, since he was the apprentice of a rather famous and prestegious Scholar. But at news of a curtain treasure, the captain seemed to forget all about this plan and sailed off at once. Leaving Arto in the brig, until the first mate came down and gave him his job as the cabin boy. Rather than sleep in the cabin, he sleeps in the bird's nest so that he can watch the stars. His first few weeks were rough on him, but he's catching on quick. The captain doesn't seem to know he exists, and the first mate is usually the one giving him orders if his chores change or anything. He felt horrible when they captured the mermaid, and now they've locked her up to die. Rather than let this happen he plans to sneak in and bring her food. How could anyone treat a mythical being such as her with such disrespect?!
===============================================================================
Name-
First Mate Mr. Ripper, Jack Ripper
Age-
23
occupation-
The First-Mate, and Captain's most trusted individual
appearance-
Mr. Ripper
Mr. Ripper is rather feminen looking, and so he keeps his hair even shorter than the men. He stands at about a head shorter than most men, but still carries himself as though he were tall, and so creates the illusion that he towers over everyone else. His icey violet stare has sent chills up the backs of many. His clothes are almost as lavish as the captain's
personality-
If the captain is hot and firey. The first mate is icey cold. Blunt and at times harsh, the first mate never sugar coats anything, but at least he's fair and pragmatic. He's a quick thinker and cool headed fighter, not one of the crew have ever seen him loose his cool over anything. He manages and handles the affairs of the ship's details so that the captain can concentrate on the big picture, and he does his job well. A poker-faced man who can sniff a lie a mile away.
An update-
He and the captain have a history, and they seem to trust one another, but their relationship as of late has been strained. The captain's acting like he's got mites in his pants. And Mr, Ripper is doing his best to clean up all of the mess the captain leaves in his wake.

Re: Treasure of the Seven Seas
Name-
Ariana
Age-
Mid-teens
Appearance-
Ariana
She wears nothing but a simple band of shimmering mother-of-pearl fabric around her chest and a sash of the same fabric tied loosely around her waist. Right now, owing to her capture, she looks very grim, with her scales dulled and dirtied, her hair knotted, skin grimy, and her clothes so unclean the color is unknown. And then there's a matter of the injuries...
Personality-
Intelligent and curious, Ariana is always eager to learn more. Unfortunately, her curiosity has a bad habit of getting her into trouble -- not with other people, but just... trouble. She's a bright, generally cheerful soul, and hates hurting people in any way shape or form, though currently circumstances have brought her to a point where she is very much scared and beaten down into relative submission, meaning that she is most definitely not like herself. Ariana can listen to the voice of the sea when it speaks to her, a rare ability in mermaids, and has learned some magic, something that interests her to no end.
An update-
Ariana went to the ship during a bad storm in an attempt to lead them to the 'eye' of it -- but when she showed herself, she was cruelly caught in a net, hauled aboard, and was promptly thrown into a locked room scattered with fish, seaweed, and jellyfish. Later she was questioned, and after refusing to answer or lead them anywhere, she was tied at her wrists with a rope that was knotted to a ring on the low ceiling. It has been several weeks since then, and she is much, much worse for the wear. Trust me -- it's worse than it looks.
((I don't really want to do a bio for the captain yet. ))
