I took some pictures on Friday, March 18th, 2011, and I thought I would share some of my favorite ones with you guys... ((Click the pictures to see the larger versions.))

This one is generally my favorite, and it's replaced most things as my display picture.


Normally, I think I look lame when I'm laughing in pictures, I actually liked how this one turned out. I was looking through some pictures on Facebook of my dad, and I saw one where he was laughing, and even though it's at a totally different angle, one can pinpoint the facial features we share in it. It's a little eerie even if I've known all along that I'm basically his female doppelganger ((just younger and shorter and with more hair)). That picture can be seen here.


This one is just funny. I took care of my friend's dogs for a week, and they were sweet and adorable. Anyway, I set up my camera to take three shots after an intitial space of ten seconds. Those three shots go one after the other, and the first two shots were awesome. They were sweet and well behaved in them. However, for the third shot, I tried to readjust them, and that was when Lily decided to maul ((with some vicious growling on both parts)) Amber. Every time I look at the picture that caught, I see Amber's eye and laugh. They didn't hurt each other. It just sounded worse than it was. Of course, I also yelled angrily at them while trying to pull them off one another, hoping I didn't get bitten - which turned out to be a success after I figured out how to stand up and tear them apart with their leashes.

Lima is that pic Photoshoped? The lighting on the background doesn't seem to suit the lighting on your face. If it's not Photoshop... how the hell did the lighting end up like that?

I can assure there was no doctoring of that photo.
It was taken using my webcam from inside of my hutch
Which had it's reading light (behind the laptop itself) on,
and my overhead dormroom light was also on. So me in
The corner concluded in the previously viewed lighting situation.

lol, it's amazing that you thought that was me though, with all the tattoos and hair dye I'd have to put on for that to be me. I accidentally posted my friend's links instead of mine and never checked what I posted in the spoilers, so I just edited them out now. I guess I can sorta see the resemblance though, and it's hard to tell if that's someone else or just me with like, tons of makeup and tattoos.

Peacock's are pretty cool. Someone my grandfather used to work for when I was younger had some around his property. Amusing this is most people I know find them annoying because of the sounds they make, yet I'd prefer being around peacocks to chickens...

Anyway, that is a good picture of you Ryona. Rather... nonchalant?

While I still take horrible pictures myself, I somehow managed to get my hair to look remotely 'decent' today. Taken just a few minutes ago while sitting outside with the dogs by the lilac (and ivy…)

Ryona, both are great pictures. I'll say that darkening the edges of that peacock pic was a good choice.... and believe me you're not the only one who sees of sexual selection when they see them. >.> I do that with bird chirps and cricket noises as well. XD

Your hair does look nice, Mel. First time I get to see a close up of it. It's strange how tame it looks in this pic.... because I imagine it to be hellish to work with.

In keeping with the hair topic I will post my first picture in this place. My hair was drying out and becoming really ..... frizzy and matted so I decided to do some deep condition treatment and use a hair mask. When I got out of the shower I got a good look at the mess that is my hair when I don't relax it for a long couple of months on end. Here is the craziness of my natural curl.



The tamest my natural curls have ever been and it still looks like utter madness. I've got 4 inches of root growth which is why I wanted to shave my head a couple of weeks ago. >.>.... Didn't go through with it but I WILL be getting my hair relaxed again today. W00t!!! I'll try to get a picture taken after that for you guys.

That other picture, my dad was taking shots and we drove by this old wall that I really liked...and I was just subject matter. *shrug* I'd love to someday hire some real talent to take pictures of. Your hair has the tightest curl I've ever seen!

@Skitzo: Thanks, there were some things going on along the edge that were a bit distracting to the piece as a whole. And I take my comment to mel back, that is the tightest curl I've ever seen! My cousin has hair a lot like that, it used to be a bother all the time, and then she cut it short, pixie style. She's never looked more womanly than when she did that. Not sure if you have ever done it, or if your face is even the right frame for it...I'll have to dig up a picture of my cousin for you some time if you are interested.

@Ryona I have actually cut my hair shorter but it wasn't on purpose. It was a trip to the hairstylist gone horribly wrong. It did look good though, but lately I've just resorted to relaxing it, because I really enjoy it a bit more. I like the variety that goes with length and so on and so forth. I'd definitely want to see though.

@Deadeye.... oh lord... you are so not helping my uniform fetish. >/////< And you look so smooth like 'You've got nothing on this.'

This pic is for comparing to the other I put up... it's the AFTER of when my hair is relaxed. We just washed out the chemicals... pretty much most of these hair pictures are for Mel. >.>.... Yes, Mel.... I want you to join me in the freedom that is relaxing!!! COME TO THE STRAIGHT/TAME SIDE!!!!


My hair dried up a bit more and I wanted to get it in the picture. I have a tendency to air dry my hair and just leave it like this.

@ Ryona: I liked the not-overly-attempted-pose, laid-back feel of the picture. And I know, if I hair wasn’t so tightly curled I’d not be bothered by it so much. Haha. But, yeah, Skitz’s hair is much worse than mine.

@ Skitz: Every now and then I get lucky and it tames nicely… unless there is moderate wind. And, yes, I know, I know… the relaxing. Forgive me that I’m so iffy on putting that kind of chemical onto my hair/scalp. Lol It does look really good though… >.>

And… Kalon… that is possibly the strangest (in an awesome way) thing I have ever been told.

Here are a few pictures from over the weekend. It was so nice out, that my boyfriend Tony and I went out for a walk in the park. There was this little stone shack area that had picnic tables set up in it that we took a couple pictures in too. It was a really nice time.


We tried taking pictures in my car, but it was too sunny! I couldn't keep my eyes open lol.

So I don't really RP here on FOG much anymore, but I do still talk to most of you a lot, and so you all may know or not know that I am pregnant. Went today to the first ultrasound today and it was simply amazing! One of the most uplifting experiences I've ever had. I'm 10 weeks and 2 days today and my due date is November 8th. This is the first of the ultrasound pictures and just about the only one that you can tell that this is an actual baby and not just some blob lol.

Babies have a tendency to look like aliens in ultrasounds. =P Despite my complete determination to never have and to never want children, I think it's cool that you're happy about it and wanting one. Congratulations, Sigh!


Hm... Today was my last day working at Hy-Vee because I'm moving on the 22nd of April, and today was the last day of the pay period. While I'm grateful that I had a job for over two years, and while I think the new store they just opened is great, I really want a different kind of job when I move. I do not want to have to work with or around food. Grocery stores just aren't my thing. I would also like to sit every once in a while even if I don't get to sit during my whole shift.

Anyway, I took this picture after an eight hour shift, and I looked a hell of a lot better before I went to work. However, I was actually a little late to work, so I didn't have time to snap a before picture. =\
