Problem Empty Problem

Problem: I set my time zone incorrectly as GMT, when it should be GMT+1:00. I can change it easily enough, and it works, but whenever I leave the site and come back, it's reset itself as GMT. Yes, I've told it to 'save' my profile, and after I do it I can screw around on FOG all I want. The problem only arises after I leave and return.

And it's annoying. >_> Help?

I'm not entirely sure why it would keep resetting. I changed it for you through the admin panel. Hopefully it stays this time. If not, just let me know and I'll look into it some more.

Nope, it's still telling me that it's 12:10 at night, when it's 1:10 in the morning.

Would the fact that I access FOG through two computers on a daily basis screw me up? :S

Yeah, that would probably do it. Are both of the computers yours? Or is one public?

Hmm....it wouldn't be cookies, and I don't think manually configuring thru the admin panel would fix it. It may just be glitch in the system. I'll try and contact forumactif for more info.

Get back to ya soon.

They're both mine. Right now I'm on the older one, and the time is right. The problem seems to be on the newer one.

It shouldn't be the cookies because the settings should be saved server side for your account. I'm sorry Fluff, I'm really not sure what the problem is. Something with the new computer must be changing the settings. Is that computer set to the proper time zone? (if it's a PC, double click the clock on the taskbar)

No response from the Support Mods so far, I'll keep trying. In the mean time, make sure you have "Automatic Time Correction" disabled and double-check that you are set to Summer time. It may not seem entirely logical, but perhaps they're having an affect on your settings.

The reason I know it's wrong is because it's an hour behind the computer's clock. Razz It's probably the automatic time correction, although if that's the case then it's correcting it wrong. :/

Thanks anyhow. It's not really an issue; it was just bugging me.

Sometimes the clock can be correct, but the time zone is still wrong. It could be the time correction. It could probably be a number of things- just have to troubleshoot it by messing with everything you can think of. Sometimes that includes the easy obvious stuff Smile Sorry I couldn't fix it for you, Fluff.
