Halo Live-action Ad Collection
I don't know how many people have seen these, though I know that I had actually missed one myself (le gasp!) They are indeed quite awesome, and make me drool of the prospect of someday having a Halo movie.
Landfall
We are ODST
Birth of a Spartan
Deliver Hope
There are a few other ones, but these are the best. The other ones revolve around the Museum of Humanity with interviews and stuff, but they aren't considered canon as they weren't made by Bungie....they were made by Microsoft when they didn't even know what Halo 3 was going to be about. But I would recommend watching them.

I like part 2 & 3 of Landfall the best, but We are ODST comes in close second.

I would have to think the inverse of Ryona. The action and story behind Landfall were excellent, but We Are ODST really delved into life as a soldier in the Halo world without saying a word.

I agree. I saw Deliver Hope first and was awed by the music and everything. I thought it was their best one yet. But then I found We Are ODST (I guess I just missed it when it first came out), and I was blown away by it. There is an entire story in those few scenes, with no words that I recognize to guide the story. It was done amazingly. I've watched it far too many times already.
And, of course, I am a fan of bag pipes...

I only just saw the We Are ODST one yesterday, while I've watched Landfall many times, so I think they are just more familiar to me. Plus I just love seeing some of the gameplay items in real life...it's just so cool. Like that pic of Nathan Fillion holding a sniper rifle

Sure makes me jealous. Of the sniper rifle, not the fact that you are infatuated with him.
I, however, would die to drive that warthog.

Re: Halo Live-action Ad Collection
Sadly since they dropped Neill Blomkamp as director I can't see a live action Halo movie being any good. Because quite frankly though the Halo series does have its share of "epic" moments, the story itself is 3 parts standard FPS space marine tripe and 1 part shit. Master Chief is among the most bland video game characters to date, a standard and often boring 1 denominational steroid injected muscle head. (Much like....EVERY OTHER fps space marine. God...I hope fps characters and storyline's improve soon or else I'm chucking the whole genre.)
Could the movie be saved by instead focusing on the nameless space marines in a war with an advanced alien race which is way over their head. Or a less steroid injected ODST team which must fight for survival by possibly questionable means behind enemy lines?...Probably not. Without the visionary hands of Peter Jackson OR Neil at the helm well probably be stuck with a director who went to the Micheal Bay school of action movies. Or worse yet Micheal Bay himself.
Then it will still gross, regardless of how awful the movie. Humanity you can sink now lower than this.
Other than that, these little short live action clips are awesome. Let's just hope this is as far as it goes, awesome little shorts in which possible new Neill Blomkamp can be found.
