You're in Shadelend (Shaddle-end) Memorial Psychiatric Hospital.

That's about the only thing that's certain. See, you'll be playing through the mind's eye of a madman/woman. Or, so the doctors say. This RP, freeform as it is, is dealing with ONE subject.

When does insanity stop being insanity, and become reality? How many people must see the same delusion for it to be real? Or is EVERY hallucination real? Are the insane the only sane ones?

This is merely a place to discuss your delusions.

Always remember, undertelling in this RP is better than overexplaining. Leave the others slightly confused. The world is everchanging. A character might be a blonde girl in one post, only to be seen as an ebony male by another character.

And, if you act sane, you're doing this wrong.

THE DEFINITIVE RULE:

Yes, I said one rule. Because there is only one. It is sort of long, however.

THE RULE:
A. The playercharacter should be insane.
1. This includes, but is not limited to schizophrenia, delusions, multiple personalities, sudden inexplicable hallucinations, imaginary friends, etc.
2. By the very nature of that, all explanations of scenery, all conversations are likely to change constantly. Editing posts is ENCOURAGED. Insane people never remember their events the same.
3. The only time this rule is NOT in effect (The editing, that is) is during a "Mass Psychosis", a "Mass Delusion", or a "Mass Hallucination".
a. These are specialized events, which will be flagged by a color change in my text. Red is for psychosis. Blue is a delusion. Green is a hallucination. I won't explain these, because the fun comes from trying to figure out what's going on... If anything's actually going on at all.
4. If you should decide you don't like your character, don't fret. They're as changeable as the world! Who says your character is even real? The other inmates might just be dreaming you up as a paranoid-schizophrenic wish.
Finally.
Don't
Trust
Yourself.

Not yet. Not yet.
