✦ The TOKoR Mini Wiki ✧
Hello, and welcome to my personal role call. For role-plays, I tend to make several characters in addition to the main one that I play. This will be just a little spot to record them all in one place. All of the characters added here have a picture to go with them to help me focus on an appearance.
EDIT: This has been revamped completely. Since I currently have no other role-plays and cannot seem to hold any together, I'm using this space mainly for my character analysis and collection of information on my characters for The Other Kind of Roommate. Just to keep this separate from my personal thoughts and journal and keep everything better organized.

Re: ✦ The TOKoR Mini Wiki ✧
Here, I will place a breakdown of the different actors and actresses that I've chosen to "play" the different characters in this role-play. Ever since I was in middle school, I've done a "casting call" for all of my own personal writings and reading other people's works of fiction. When I read books now, I keep a folded piece of lined paper as a bookmark with a very organized list of all the characters that appear in the book and the actor/actress I imagine them as. I also keep a fat little notebook filled with an organized list of actors and actresses by age and appearance that I look through when trying to "fill" a role. It may seem a little odd for me to do this, but when I first started reading bigger novels in middle school, I found a lot of times I had trouble keeping track of characters. A lot of times, someone will be mentioned or appear in the beginning of the story and then show up later, often without another physical description attached and I'll be like "Who's that dude?" It's very annoying and frustrating, so the list is to help me remember who the characters are and what they look like so I'm not sitting there imagining a bunch of gray blobs talking to each other because I can't remember what they look like. It helps a lot, especially when I start to associate a particular actor or actress with that character. So, automatically, when I look at who's "playing" them, I remember why I chose that person and I remember the scenes the character has been in and the things they've said and done.
I like to consider myself a moderate movie buff. I have watched a lot of movies and TV shows, but I always imagine that there are people out there who have watched much more than I have and exposed themselves to a larger range of actors and actresses. So, I don't always know all the roles and moves that the actors and actresses I use have done, but if I see a movie I look at the cast and add people to the notebook. I generally think of actors and actresses as puppets when I use them this way, but even with a blank slate, there are certain things about the way actors and actresses carry themselves consistently that sets a boundary for what they can play. For instance, I would never "cast" Anthony Hopkins as a jester or in an idiot/humorous role. There is a certain dignity to his bearing - and also the fact that he's been "aged" for most of my life - and a certain timbre to his voice and manner of speaking that it would just not fit. That's not to say that he personally couldn't(for example, I consider Patrick Stewart to be the same way, but I HAVE seen him play as an effeminate gay man; even so, it is odd to think of him playing such a role).
So, although I'd like to say that I'm objective, I'm not and am heavily influenced by the roles and interviews I've seen these talented people star in. That being said, Tartra, if you feel similarly affected in this way, I would discourage any further reading of this analysis(especially the second half) if you feel it would restrict how you write/view your characters. But just in case you were interested, it's here for a read. Please, also note, that when I select roles for people, it is usually based on the first impression and I do not restrain myself to only playing my characters the way the actors and actresses have played their roles - the films and shows I've seen them in just helps me place a face to them in the beginning and the rest of the character develops how I see fit for the rest of the role-play.
My Characters
Gwendolyn Stewart
played by Amanda Peet
As my main character, it was very important to me that this be a role of someone I am fond of. I wanted Gwen to be quirky and yet a strong person with a large emotional range. Being attractive was important, but she didn't need to be super pretty. Because of the tone of my opening post, and how I was planning on having her marching over to Alex's apartment to tell him off, I was heavily inspired by the film Saving Silverman and Peet's very tough girl role in that - which is one of my favorite comedies, BTW. There was also something very flirty and fun about her in A Lot Like Love and The Whole Nine Yards that made her attractive as a possible "softer" side to her character as well.
Stephanie March
played by Gwyneth Paltrow
My first thought for Stephanie, since I based Gwen's powers off of emotions and made her a very emotional person, was to have the exact opposite of her. Also, as far as appearance, since I'd established Gwen as dark brunette with semi-light features and blue eyes, I wanted Stephanie to contrast with her greatly on the other side of the scale. A few people I considered before fixating on Paltrow were Michelle Phiffer, Charlize Theron, and Angelina Jolie. For whatever reason none of those others fit what I had in mind for her - most of them seeming too strong in demeanor. Finally, I latched onto Paltrow because of her role in The Royal Tenenbaums, Margot, who had that kind of emotionless, vapid demeanor that I was looking for. Also, for most of her roles, Paltrow has very fair hair and skin, with darker colored eyes, so it fit appearance-wise as well.
Osono Wallace
played by P!nk
When I first thought of Osono, I immediately had her played by Fairuza Balk - who's personality I was inspired by in her roles in The Craft and American History X. However, for the first post I wrote up for her - which ended up being deleted and rewritten - was very extreme and intense. I at first thought of Ozzie as being very amoral and destructive, randomly so, to the point of sociopathic. My original plan for her was to have her acting as almost an antagonist to Gwen and Alex - independent of the Agency problems and more like a passing destruction. However, it ended up being too much and I even think the whole tone of that first post and the character itself went a little too dark for what we were playing with at the time. So, I took her out and waited a while before bringing her back in, revamped a little. I kept the blonde short hair and the attitude but I tempered down the aggression to being surly and rebellious. She went from the chaotic to a troubled young woman on the run, untrusting and ready to fight. P!nk fit this for my idea of her because of her performance persona and how it's very "rock" rough. But she also does a lot of "diary-esque" R&B and in interviews, she's a very down to earth person, so it fit the range that I had in mind for her.
Rudolph Quin
played by James Roday
When I first thought of Rudy, I thought of Pauly Shore, but I knew if I played him that way, I wouldn't be able to resist inserting Shore's different quirks and phrases and it would have been obvious he wasn't Rudy, but that the Agency had hired Pauly Shore as an Agent! XD At the time I made him, I was well into watching season 2 of Psych and I'm very fond of Roday's character in that. It seemed a good balance to Osono and he could have his own personality rather than be a type-cast actor.
Richard Graninger
played by Kiefer Sutherland
When I originally imagined Richard, I had in mind someone a lot older - like in his mid to late fifties - but as the role-play wore on and I actually started making plans to bring him in, I made him just a bit younger. It seems like all of Kiefer Sutherland's roles have him playing a bad guy or a snobby jerk, and I've seen almost all of his movies, so to pinpoint a specific one for his inspiration might be difficult - but if I HAD to say, it would be Flatliners, which is one of my all-time favorites, BTW.
Noel
played by Olivia d'Abo
I originally did not have anyone in mind for her, but the more I fleshed out her character and how she seems so domineering and yet victimized by Rudy, I latched onto Olivia - who played Nicole Wallace in Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
Salvatore Robinson
played by Jorge Garcia
I had in mind a bigger gentleman with dark brown hair and long side burns with a kind of Italian/swarthy ethnicity. I wanted him to be quiet but interested and a bit mousey but not afraid to speak his mind. The guy who played Hurley on Lost fit this idea perfectly.
Tommy McConaugh
played by Patrick Fitzgerald
I was inspired by the episode "Remorse" of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit to make this character. I wanted the next cab driver to be mouthy with a New York accent(I'm addicted to New York state and NYC and I insert it into everything, in case you didn't notice).
Dean Winters
played by Will Ferrell
Just a minor character but he was involved enough that I gave him a face. I was inspired by Ferrell's roles in Step Brothers and Stranger Than Fiction.

Re: ✦ The TOKoR Mini Wiki ✧
Hello! And welcome to the TOKoR Mini Wiki! This will mostly be a catalog of crucial plot-points and IC information to make it easily accessible. After 8 pages and 200+ posts, we're bound to lose something! And it's a bitch to go through every single time. So, that's why this is here! Now to give a small explanation of how I plan to set this up and what everything means so you don't get lost in the wiki!
First, I will separate each post for this analysis by page number - forget that this first post is concluded at the first "day" of the role-play in the middle of page 1.
2 - each subsection will be divided by post number. However, for each new page, I will start back at 1 just to make it easier to find stuff and you're not stuck counting "1,301; 1,302, 1,3--crap! Lost my place!" As it is, you'll be stuck counting 30 posts for each page, so...good luck! *thumbs up*
3 - I'll give an explanation of each new subsection as they come up and there will be a general explanation for all of the current ones in this first post.
4 - each bar of information collected is for references purposes only to help give you an idea of where to find this information. Sometimes, if it's short enough, I will quote the whole thing, but other times, I'll skip parts with a [...] and just keep the relevant information, to make this easier to navigate.
5 - So that scrolling isn't a bitch, I'll keep all info in spoilers.
6 - each post in this wiki will be headed by a detailed time-line to show changes of scenery and actions
EDIT: And each timeline will be accompanied by a list of the different plot points and their corresponding post, to better orient you for each page.
I will try my best to catch everything relevant, and I will attempt to take frequent breaks so it doesn't wear on me, but still, I'm only human and a few minor things might be missed here and there - hopefully with another scan, which I'm constantly doing with this role-play, I'll fill in the cracks.
Subsections for First Day:
Agency Body Transfer Process - here, I will be collecting any references to the body transfer process and what has happened to Alex and Xander and what is going to happen to them. Anything about tubes, brains, cells, transfers, etc. will be found here.
Xander details - here, I will be collecting any references and information about Xander and Alex's abilities and physical relationship. Things like, how fast Xander is, how Alex's powers work, Xander's growing fatigue, how much control each of them has etc. will go here.
Injuries - here is a list of references of Alex's injuries and wounds. When other characters get hurt(like Rudy, for instance), they will be added with their own subsection to this group.
Physical Descriptions - here, I will collect character descriptions. Usually, after the initial post, it might not get much info here, until the character's physical appearance changes.
History - anything that is mentioned as happening before the role-play began. This will include a subsection for Agency history when it comes up.
Gwen details - references to her powers and how they work.
Minor Characters mentioned - here will go references to characters that are mentioned but are not present, or even characters that have no speaking parts but make a physical appearance.
Agency Technology - here, will be references to any Agency tech, anything from descriptions of it to actual explanations of how it works.
Things I plan to include:

Agency Body Transfer Process:
- Spoiler:
- post 1: He'd seriously considered just handing himself in. Sure, the Agents had already more or less explained that getting the guy out would involve a saw, a drill, a chisel, his left temple and a grave, but it was starting to sound pretty good given the alternative.
Xander details:
- Spoiler:
post 1: I can wait all fucking night. Of course he could. Xander didn't sleep.
There was a certain threshold of control Xander couldn't cross, and he'd made it halfway there simply trying to get back to Starbucks...Alex had overpowered him...He should've drawn it out, made sure the guy was too tired to take control of his arm and start beating him with it.
If Alex drank, Xander went away...He shut up, at least...Xander hated it. He'd struggle almost as fiercely as he did for his coffee if it meant getting away from any form of alcohol that could've been around.
He could feel the little guy get even angrier and sink deeper into the back of his mind - or wherever he was - and sulk.
post 3: He'd been putting up with this for years. He knew almost everything there was to know about what Xander could or couldn't do. The only thing he had never been sure of was whether the guy could read Alex's thoughts or not. ... The fact of the matter was that, when Alex needed to directly, clearly communicate with the guy, the only thing he'd ever respond to were spoken words.
post 5: He hated depending on the guy, but Xander was much more perceptive than he'd ever be.
post 7: As he picked up the nasty fruit-covered slice, he felt his mouth start reaching for it. Good. Let Xander have it. So long as he didn't have to taste it, Alex didn't care.
post 9: He must've been tired. That'd been happening more and more lately.
post 11: This was where Xander shined. There was a loose balance between them now...so a very light steering would be enough...Alex didn't have the reflexes to take on an Agent.
Then he quickly scanned the room, looking for something Alex knew he'd never pick up on first.
The dryness began. It burned. He wanted to blink and clear them again, but Xander kept them focused. For one solitary fraction of a second, their eyes locked. They stared into the depths of each other's soul and a bridge was formed between them. A second was all it needed. The Agent was foaming and convulsing an instant later.
"Didn't you learn anything last time?" That I'm incredibly awesome and can take down twelve guys in six minutes?
Injuries:
- Spoiler:
- post 1: ...he should've never bought that mirror. Now there were shards of it stuck under his skin from when Xander had thrown his fist against it.
...The table? Smashed in two. Alex had landed on it with his hip. The chairs? Shattered. He'd been thrown against them, taking the blow with the exact center of his gut.
He felt bruises along the side of his jaw. They were the least of his worries. His toe might've been broken.
post 2: ...her gaze fluttering over the swollen bruises.
Physical descriptions:
Alex:
- Spoiler:
- post 1: Alex's face was mostly intact. His head was roughly oval and the punches had been at the side pf it, so for the most part, he looked alive. There were circles under his eyes, though. His skin should've been darker, more olive. That probably had to do with the fact that he hadn't gone out since the Starbucks incident...Brown eyes, brown hair, cut short and kind'f choppy...Plus, he was in good shape. Xander wanted to make sure whatever punch he threw hit hard, so Alex was on a very strict work-out schedule that, to this day, he'd never missed out on.
Gwen:
- Spoiler:
- post 2: ...her bright blue eyes...biting her plush full lips...she ran her hands through her long, wavy brown hair...she gritted her straight teeth angrily.
post 8: She didn't look too bad, just sort of casual in her white tank top and weathered jeans, both snugly fitting her thin curves.
Alex history:
- Spoiler:
- post 1: That meant Xander had to keep him away from the Agents. At a very early age, Alex had learned to run. As equally early, he'd found out about his special talent. Aside from the crazy demon in his head, he meant.
post 3: Just about everyone in this building had come by to scream at him at one point or another.
He'd only been in this room for two months, and he was lucky if he got to stay another week. Paying extra on his rent (minus the deposits, which were gone by now) was only going to take him so far. He'd started looking for a new place.
post 5: The last few times he'd run into them, he'd thought they were cops or detectives or private eyes or something. He'd recognized them and he was proud of that, but the threat of who they were hadn't dawned on him until Xander took over and attacked. He'd saved Alex's life twice that way.
post 7: ...box of pizza they'd eventually agreed on. Half pepperoni, half Hawaiian, as usual.
post 11: Everyone new to Alex's 'case' always underestimated what he could do. They would watch him for months, studying his habits, making note of his work-outs and his otherwise unimpressive lifestyles.
Gwen history:
- Spoiler:
- post 2: A romance novelist...The Nightshade series of books were her first books ever published and had instantly boosted her to higher status within the written world.
It had been several months since she'd published the last book of the series...For 6 months after however, Gwen found herself sort of burnt out on the old success. After staying with the series for 5 long novels... the story had reached a final conclusion.
Gwen details:
- Spoiler:
- post 4: Immediately something tingled on her skin as the man, her neighbor, began to speak...
The other person might have been too quiet for her to hear, but the tingling started up in the silence between his words, so bad that she scratched her forearm light and quick to get rid of the vibrational itch.
post 6: Where there should have been a response, there was silence and it made her shiver involuntarily every time he paused.
Minor Characters mentioned:
Arthur Crags:
- Spoiler:
- post 4: Does Arthur Crags know about this? If you haven't told the landlord what you're doing, you can get your ass sued.
Mr. Crags was not the type of man to allow that in his building and it filled her with a sense of delight to imagine him coming up here blustering and angry, shouting abuse at this man who'd wrecked her morning.
post 5: Crags' is gonna kill you. Xander started gloating.
He was up shit's creek if anyone came in here, let alone the man who'd already expressed his severe disinterest in putting up with anymore complaints.
Steven Diaz/Mordeth(Gwen's story characters):
- Spoiler:
- post 8: Hunted? Was he an escaped mental patient? Who was after him? Already her mind was working on ways to incorporate this into the character she'd created, Mr. Steven Diaz and his other, evil side Mordeth.
Agency Technology:
Jason's suit:
- Spoiler:
- post 11: They weren't invisible, they weren't cloaked, they'd simply been standing there and that had been enough to hide from plain sight. They were like ghosts. Horrible ghosts, ones with guns. The worst kind.
Agents almost always wore masks of some kind. Simple ones, just enough to keep themselves mysterious. They had to blend in, after all. But this guy... His entire head was covered. It was like some steel wool ski mask with plastic, oval eye holes.

Locations - Pretty self-explanatory. This will include physical descriptions of relevant places and also any maps that I've made to go along with the place.

- post 7: Mike something. Ex-Agent. Formerly a part of our case...If things turned out the way he wanted, it'd be him in here. He paused. I think he thinks you're me. I'm insulted.
post 17: "You see, these people, the Agents, the ones Alex hasn't stopped droning on about, are after me and my kind. Well - Alex's kind. I didn't have powers until I showed up in his head, and imagine my surprise when I could shoot freaking lasers out of my eyes...
post 19: "He didn't get Alex, he freaked out, went all crazy-jealous 'cause...or he's ten times more evil than I thought."
"The technology's had to have improved since they tried this shit out...complete with full access to any and all abilities you may or may not be aware of."
post 23: "Are they gonna do the transfer if they get her?...they don't tell us anything until we need to know."
post 25: "It's for the same reason we wanted you," the Agent blurted out. So much for 'cold and empty', although his eyes still seemed glassy. "We're only here to locate the host."
"It's a super-soldier program," Xander said, coolly...then in pops whoever they guess is good enough to handle it."
...and I ran off because the transfer didn't completely work. They got him right, though. He was an Agent from the beginning, Xander said. Fully uploaded, or whatever you wanna call it. I thought he knew how to get me out of here. Or get rid of you, at least.
Turns out there's no second shot at this thing. If it doesn't work, you've gotta restart with an empty slate, which basically means they'd be sucking me out, too.
Agency Technology:
Jason's suit:
- Spoiler:
- post 19: "That mask," ... "Probably something they whipped up for you, Gwenny, just in case you decided to go crazy on them."
post 27: "He implied he felt it was something for use against him." "It is. Everything the Agency has always is. I made sure of it,"
"He had a hand in its design. He field-tested the product for years before and after its release. You are a fool for thinking it would confuse him."
post 29: The suit he wore was the most advanced technology on the market today...had a thousand different features...
Sunglasses:
- Spoiler:
- post 21: The sunglasses they wore were only useful in throwing off immediate and direct eye contact.
post 27: ...with his stupid shades. The fact that they had a night-vision feature barely made up for it.
Agency history/details:
- Spoiler:
- post 5: One Agent in the middle of the night? That was practically a weekly thing. Two in the lobby? Very unusual, mostly because Agents worked alone. He'd never seen a pair of them before, and not so soon that he could them a trio.
post 19: ...the Agents are here because they're looking for someone 'special'...means there's something else going on."
post 23: Agents, when they were undercover, tried dressing down into more civilian-y clothes, but they kept certain things - like the sunglasses and the pissed off attitude - on at all times so they could recognize each other and apparently stand way the hell out anyway.
"Are they gonna do the transfer if they get her?...they don't tell us anything until we need to know."
post 25: The Agent was perfectly blank...He knew how to counter... whatever it was Gwen could do...Like a dead-eyed, soulless robot.
post 27: "He had a hand in its design. He field-tested the product for years before and after its release. You are a fool for thinking it would confuse him."
Alexander was the famous case...
Cases were kept very close to the chests of the involved group.
"The Agency prefers to employ those who are weak and spineless in its present day. I cannot use them on my team," Frenchie told him, sounding bitter. "Men like myself and the intended Alexander are but a thing of the past."
Xander details:
- Spoiler:
- post 7: Turn. "You turn." Can't. I'm tired. Hit my limit... I've been talking all day. That last sentence?...That's it for a while. I'm sleepy.
His eyes burned. Both of their eyes burned. That bridge was formed as they locked onto each other, and with a push, Alex forced his enemy's mind into a frenzy. That'd be enough to knock him unconscious, which - More force. More power. In less than a second, Xander had upped the dose and killed him.
At least if anyone came across Mr. Ex-Agent ...they'd chalk it up to natural causes. A perk, he guessed, of frying minds.
post 9: Smell that? "Huh?" That's blood.
"Xander, did you do -" Don't gimmie that shit. You know how my powers work. Single target only, he replied.
post 15: "How the hell did you read it? I didn't even see -" Peripheral vision. I can focus on the stuff that's in the corner of your eye. It's another reason why I'm so great.
post 17: Alex tried stepping in, reached out to take control of his mouth, but Xander - with what amounted to a slap in his mind - pushed him back.
post 21: ...he spat, struggling to get up. Xander had all his attention on his knees, determined to stay where he was...Whether he'd run out of strength or simply gave in, Xander released his knees, let him stand...
He dragged the squirming fool over and forced its head to turn, building up his gaze of death beyond its boiling point. There was no frothing this time. The Agent just... dropped.
The sunglasses they wore were only useful in throwing off immediate and direct eye contact. So long as Alex saw pupils, he could pick someone off at any distance.
He'd've been better off trying to get help, because Xander raised his new toy arm, pulled some crazy half-second aim, fired, then quaintly noted, "No there isn't."
Gwen details:
- Spoiler:
- post 30: Gwen was naturally perceptive due to her slumbering abilities...would help to block Gwen's ability to read their thoughts...
"From this point forward, we will proceed under the assumption that her powers have been awakened...detected within a mile's breadth.
post 6: Something about crowds of people wore her down practically to a physical level. There was always a lot going on when there were people all around and she got the strange feeling she was a part of a thousand conversations all at once.
post 8: He hadn't been gone for more than a few minutes when suddenly she felt her vision blur and a wave of vertigo swept over her...it felt like she'd been lost in that dizzy haze forever...
post 18: And then that tickle started up again, all over her body the nerves humming quietly making her shift in her chair with the urge to itch her skin with an all-body scratcher.
post 22: And then she felt it again, that wave of vertigo almost like she could feel it coming, rising like a tsunami and barreling down upon her...And she was peripherally aware of them all in a distant way... in a familiar way. Something she'd always felt but hadn't noticed until now.
post 24: And then Gwen had to stop herself from gasping when the tingling on her skin was accompanied by words...the new emotional awareness of everyone around them within a mile.
She couldn't "hear" anything and that either meant nothing was going on in his head - which she doubted - or it was being blocked somehow.
...she felt Xander speaking inside again, his words drifting to her consciousness like an echo in a long tunnel.
post 30: Gwen was naturally perceptive due to her slumbering abilities...would help to block Gwen's ability to read their thoughts...
"From this point forward, we will proceed under the assumption that her powers have been awakened...detected within a mile's breadth.
Stephanie details:
- Spoiler:
- post 28: Everything about her from the physical to the emotional existed in painstakingly crafted layers and the outermost thickest shell was purely artificial in design, the deeper more complex parts of her personality hinted at and never seen.
Stephanie controlled emotion like it could be cataloged and stored...
Alex history:
- Spoiler:
- post 3: "I'm more of a traveler of sorts," he said. "A transporter, I guess. I'm the one who has to walk around. And I do. I walk everywhere. It's kind of weird thinking there's something you can call home. We avoid that."
..."it's not much of a job. I've got some talents, I guess you could say..."This thing? This little scar? That was his 'persuasion' for why we should take the smaller one that was closer."
"He," Alex said, "is a little more hands on with his work. He's got the same talent as me, but he uses it more aggressively. Surprise, surprise." He tried not to roll his eyes. "It pays better, but I'd really like to have him retire.
post 5: One Agent in the middle of the night? That was practically a weekly thing. Two in the lobby? Very unusual, mostly because Agents worked alone. He'd never seen a pair of them before, and not so soon that he could them a trio.
post 7: "I don't know how to snap a neck and you're too tired to try." Yeah, I know you can't snap one. I was there.
That'd been one of the most traumatic nights he'd lived through, next to the first time he-but-not-really-he had punched himself in the face. Which Xander had decided to do before introducing himself. He'd thought it was hysterical.
He was glad Xander took the time to fight him so often, otherwise this would be a lot worse than it was.
Mike something. Ex-Agent. Formerly a part of our case... Wait - he'd never heard about this. "You never actually explained how you appeared," Alex said. "I just... woke up with you."
Current ones, I mean, not psychos like Mike. Or Joseph. Or Benoit, for that matter. Damn - a lot of people hate me.
Six years. For six years, he'd been lugging this guy around. Now he wanted to almost-explain himself?
post 9: An ex-Agent? That Xander knew? Big surprise, but he didn't exactly socialize with the super-secret assassin's guild or whatever the hell they were, so how Xander knew someone they - or Alex, at least - had never met before was an uncomfortable mystery.
post 11: Xander had been in the middle of his coffee, giggling over how he'd made some kid cry, when the staff suddenly pulled out swords - oh, this was the kid who'd burst into tears.
post 13: "The manager knows me." Xander had a 'talk' with him once or twice before.
It was the same guy - another regular - that somehow always ended up behind him. He'd tried complaining about the wait every single time, but the memory of when Xander 'talked' with him too kept his mouth shut as he was sent a nasty glare.
post 17: We could always go by the hospital later. They practically have a room reserved for me."
...they've started picking up in numbers...They've done it once before... But that only happened because I attracted some attention."
I couldn't wrap my head around this guy until I started seeing what he could do. So, imagine my surprise when, one day, we run into some other kid named Peter.
Peter's doing the same thing we're doing...'T'was a dark day, truly, but I learned a couple of lessons from it."
post 19: That's me. It's always me, and it's always been me because - until Peter, so many years ago - that's all there's ever been. You know - as far as I was told.
post 23: I'm so used to being the center of attention and everyone having a profile on me that - this? You hunting her? I think I'm jealous. You actually don't know who I am? Actually?"
So - in the past six years I've been telling you 'we should get a gun'...
post 25: I'm not an Agent. The Agents were established after I... y'know... escaped. I'm stolen property,
"No fucking wonder you two were friends. You were plotting against me -"
post 27: "He had a hand in its design. He field-tested the product for years before and after its release. You are a fool for thinking it would confuse him."
Alexander was the famous case...
Gwen history:
- Spoiler:
- post 2: She'd had a freak stalking her for a while at one point...he seemed to go away and the situation was resolved.
"This neighborhood has really changed since I last lived here,"...I don't recognize it anymore."
post 6: ...then again, coffee shops weren't exactly her thing. Gwen wasn't a complete shut-in, and liked to go out occasionally to be around people without being with people, but mostly she was an introvert.
post 16: It made her seem like a sickly or clumsy person when that couldn't be farther from the truth. It had been totally out of the ordinary what had happened.
Benoit history:
- Spoiler:
- post 27: A million recommendations...he'd encountered it at least six times and he was the only who hadn't immediately died upon doing so.
He and his flunky - some guy who was even more insane, tall and French - were the head, and the remaining, Agents in the case for bringing Alexander in.
Stephanie history:
- Spoiler:
- post 28: For years she'd been following the woman but they'd never met or seen each other face to face...
She had studied everything about her own face and postures...
Injuries:
Alex:
- Spoiler:
- post 1: ...bothering the cuts on his hands - which still had some slivers of glass in them that he'd been ignoring...
post 7: ...the same spot Xander had thrown his fist at before was pummeled again...ninja-hobo dropped him to the ground with a swipe to the back of his knees. Alex fell hard as the shock of the blow traveled up his legs...Alex took another shot to his thigh.
post 8: There was a slight limp that wasn't there before, she noticed...
post 9: ...he felt his muscles relax and the pain in his leg - Xander was right about the limp, damn him - soften.
Gwen:
- Spoiler:
- post 8: Without her seeming to notice, a bright ribbon of red streamed from her right nostril...
Physical descriptions:
Gwen:
- Spoiler:
- post 2: ...her shoes which were black, sandal heels, the bottoms flat and wider than regular high-heel pumps...her skirt was loose enough around the bottom to facilitate longer strides.
post 22: ...her curved, slender form...
Benoit:
- Spoiler:
- post 27: Jesus Christ. Jason didn't know if the accent was legit or something he'd cooked up for the hell of it, but it was pissing him off.
Benoit wasn't old. Pushing forty...And he had a long coat on, a black one that made him stick out like a sore thumb.
Jean:
- Spoiler:
- post 27: He and his flunky - some guy who was even more insane, tall and French...He shoved in and crushed through the debris on the floor like the truck that he was.
This man was in love with his 'r's. It took five full seconds for him to move onto the other letters.
So Flunky started to leave, almost hitting his seven-foot-high head on the way out. All muscle and no grace...
Jason:
- Spoiler:
- post 27: As for himself, Jason was at a solid twenty-six...Jason was going back bragging about how much more ripped he was than the 'almighty Agent assassin'. It was a close competition, fine, but he still won. Suck on that, Alex.
Stephanie:
- Spoiler:
- post 28: Standing tall at almost 6 feet in her high heeled pumps... And emotion did not exist on her deathly beautiful features in any degree...her skeletal fingers and long nails lightly scratching at the stucco.
...but there wasn't a flicker of change on her serene face, her eyes clear and her dark colored lips set in an expression that hinted at a smile but was more neutral than anything.
...her dark green eyes..."Where is he?" she asked in a bland monotone. Even her voice was devoid of any emotion almost as if she were bored or uninterested in the response.
She stood, statuesque and calm, both rigid and at ease, filling the room with golden light from her soft yellow suit jacket.
Minor Characters mentioned:
Mike Weir:
- Spoiler:
- post 7: Mike something. Ex-Agent. Formerly a part of our case...If things turned out the way he wanted, it'd be him in here. He paused. I think he thinks you're me. I'm insulted.
Current ones, I mean, not psychos like Mike. Or Joseph. Or Benoit, for that matter. Damn - a lot of people hate me.
post 19: "Damn. Mike. The one in the alley, the one I went off to talk with. He wasn't here looking for me. He was here looking for you."
"He didn't get Alex, he freaked out, went all crazy-jealous...or he's ten times more evil than I thought."
post 25: Weir? Mike Weir? Found him lurkin' around an hour ago. That's him, by the way."...
Barista:
- Spoiler:
- post 11: Behind the counter was a boy hovering on seventeen...His uniform looked as though he'd spilled half of everything he'd made onto it...
Peter:
- Spoiler:
- post 17: So, imagine my surprise when, one day, we run into some other kid named Peter..."Telepathic. Kinetic, I mean. Telekinetic."
Peter's doing the same thing we're doing...'T'was a dark day, truly, but I learned a couple of lessons from it."
post 19: That's me. It's always me, and it's always been me because - until Peter, so many years ago - that's all there's ever been.
post 25: Funny thing about Peter: he was sent after us 'cause I ran off...
"No fucking wonder you two were friends. You were plotting against me -"
reading minds:
- Spoiler:
- post 22: Miranda Tam's eyes had widened and as the dead man had fallen she'd felt the urge to scream.
Gary:
- Spoiler:
- post 27: His intel had also said this was the right room. He was gonna kill whoever fed him this garbage. Gary, you dick.
post 29: ...if his response didn't measure up - thanks to Gary, it wouldn't...

Re: ✦ The TOKoR Mini Wiki ✧
Note: Even though they get separated, I'm including Jason's goggles in the subsection "suit" because they're a part of it. Also, instead of making a separate subsection for Jean's history, I'm including it in Benoit's section. Hopefully, by the tone of the passages, you'll be able to tell the difference and I don't think there's enough to warrant a separate section all his own before he dies.
Subsections for Page 3:
Jason details: things not covered by his history, any skills he has not directly relating to the suit goes here.
Electric Pen
Lenses
Cities - general list of place names and directions. Will include maps eventually.
Reading minds - list of specifically named people whom Gwen reads the minds of.
People Xander let live 2 months - probably a one time thing for this page because Jason mentions them by name. I do not remember if he does that again, so this subgroup will probably not show up again.

Agency Body Transfer Process:
- Spoiler:
- post 4: It was something she'd waited a long time to see and had hoped to be seeing it from Gwen's eyes when she'd eventually be implanted into her body.
post 21: A transfer booth, or whatever you people use to stick people into different bodies.
lololol its nt a both moran
I need you intact. Your mind is the shell we require to re-perform the necessary transfer. If I am to fight anyone, it will be the one who is expendable."
...our priority is to re-establish the blank slate we had before... "Who's going in?" The Agent smiled. "Me."
You should be dead already. Faded. You are now overdue."
Agency Technology:
Jason's suit:
- Spoiler:
- post 1: They might take his suit away. He needed his suit. He had a connection with it.
...that's why they'd given him a mask to do it for him. He hated that thing. It was scratchy and stiff and running around without his true headpiece was exactly like blasting into a battlefield with nothing on his face at all.
post 3: ...reached for the pocket sewn into his left leg, pulling out the goggles...He and his suit, his full suit, were a team. He'd been on the brink of withdrawal without it.
post 5: The goggles picked up on the weakness in his target's lock. He had the tools out immediately to open it. While he fiddled with that, which would take a few seconds, he'd flicked his eyes beneath his mask and set up a text link to that stupid intel op.
The words showed up across his screen as an option in his auto-complete.
He wrote by pressing on a virtual keyboard that his goggles projected...He loved this suit. Had he said that already? No one else was as in tune with it as he was. He was delighted.
Immediately, his goggles locked on to whatever his eyes pointed at.
post 7: As far as tracing his target's steps went, that was as easy as setting up the suit to analyze... air patterns or whatever...He'd leave the mask to it, then. It'd tell him when it was done.
Instead, he pulled out a jack from the inside of his sleeve and plugged it into the open port.
post 9: He'd always been faster at his suit at that, which sent up a small warning about the incoming visitors moments later...He said that last part to his goggles. God, he missed them already.
post 17: He faded when the door opened, allowing the suit to hide him as he watched the man walk in.
post 19: ...his target bursting into full analysis on the corner of his screen.
post 27: ...if he hadn't been ripped away from his goggles, the lifeblood of everything his suit could do...
"We can trace them," he said, starting to wake up. "The goggles - it'd take seconds. We'd know exactly where they are."
post 29: "This is the first one I have seen who avoided the drugs they pair with the product, but he is as weak and helpless as any other. You must be mindful of him at all times. They are known to go mad if the suit is damaged."
Electric pen:
- Spoiler:
- post 18: One of it's many features was to act as a tazer and one shock from it would render a person helpless.
post 22: ...an image of something small, slender and metal surging through the air towards her...
post 26: An electric buzzing started up as she turned it on and the tip danced with blue bolts of energy, like wiry strands of hair, branching out and disappearing in a constant ripple...she clicked another button on the pen, switching out the taser for a knife.
Lenses:
- Spoiler:
- post 19: "We went beyond mirrored lenses, the ones you insist never work, but I can assure you, when they rest upon the eyes, they prove to be much more effective."
post 21: "Soon. You have him traced?" "These lenses are a miracle," "When should I scrape him off the ground?"...Jean set his watch to start timing. The lenses could do that, too.
Agency history/details:
- Spoiler:
- post 1: ...these kinds of people were so few and far between - from what he'd been told.
post 3: Well, fine, she could do what she wanted. She was senior staff and that meant Benoit couldn't touch her, the same way she couldn't touch him. All the same, he was sticking around until this conversation finished. Part of being on the team meant ensuring the safety of his boss.
post 5: Poison? She was still angry about the screw-up, but professionals like her weren't supposed to take revenge this far.
It wasn't up to him to decide. If his lead wanted something done, wanted him to eat it, then he was obligated to follow that order to the end. His reflex took over.
...don't touch the leads or make any other kind of contact...
post 9: Jason and the Flunky...were required to speak in low voices whenever senior staff addressed each other.
post 11: They were doing what Frenchie wanted. They were supposed to, definitely, because of that thing with seniority...
post 19: The Agents chasing him seemed so proper...
Xander details:
- Spoiler:
- post 3: "We've only got Agency rumours to go on if he's not going to tell us...the deaths are natural, even if the cause isn't.
"As for whether or not it's lethal, I think he can control it."...I don't know if you know, boss, but there's two people living in that guy."
post 13: He could feel Xander reaching out for his hand...Alex felt empowered.
That feeling of Xander disappearing into the corner of his mind swam up again. Alex blinked away the numbness, then forced himself to concentrate on what was important.
post 15: Xander didn't say anything, but he was out again and almost as alert as she was. And he was excited.
post 17: He knew that feeling. Xander had found his opening and he was taking it. Alex was still half-numb with shock. He wasn't able to fight back right away, and when he was, he'd already lost.
post 23: It was no longer his that'd been warped to something cocky and conceited. Now it sounded like someone else, like someone completely different...moving faster than he'd ever been in the last few years.
Xander did, somehow, have eyes in the back of his head.
His thoughts were random bursts of insight Alex managed to glean as they were turned over and considered.
That wasn't a kill,..."Yeah. Fresh out'f those."
'Pass out'? "How long do you think I can keep this up for? I'm exhausted," Xander said. "We've got ten minutes...
post 24: The Agent had only a moment for her eyes to widen before she felt the searing pulse fill her skull from the fixated stare he gave her. Rooted in place, she stared dazed as if left standing in a coma.
The familiar warmth of his power rippled through her own mind as he looked into the woman's eyes and she felt the Agent's mind fade like a phone's busy signal.
post 25: "Might be ten, might be twenty, but I'm wearing out fast and whatever the fuck he did to me, riding shotgun's not an option now.
"It'd be even easier if I was gone and you had no control. Feel like having another coma? 'Cause that's probably what this is gonna be...With such incredible access to what the guy was feeling, he was sure he'd know what his true intentions were if he simply asked.
He couldn't hear his thoughts anymore, Alex realized...or Xander was doing something to severely limit what he let Alex in on.
post 27: ...but apparently Alexander was as familiar with his technology as Frenchie insisted.
Xander's trick to limit what he projected seemed to be wearing down...
Alex felt a lightness come over him. He shot out instantly and started grabbing for his fingers, his toes, anything he might've been able to get control of. Nothing. There was nothing there. He was more out of touch than before and his situation was starting to get worse.
Gwen details:
- Spoiler:
- post 2: She'd be able to sense his powers while he's using them...
post 4: "That is probably the key. If it were just Alexander, I cannot see her being interested and possibly even put off by him. But if there's another inside, she would be able to sense the inner dynamic.
post 12: Gwen swayed on her feet as they entered the building...it was like someone had turned up the volume in her head...
She could feel herself slipping with the current of thought and emotion, the rush of sensations threatening to pull her under and it terrified her.
post 14: It was like gravity was weighing her down, her body not wanting to respond to her commands...she felt like she was several different people all at once right now...the waves of thought coming a bit muffled around the enclosed space...
post 22: Reaching out mentally...
post 26: One consolation was that she could still feel his emotions even though he'd essentially switched seats with Xander. But other than emotions, she could not detect any of Xander's thoughts...
post 28: ...until they'd gone for a mile and she could no longer sense their apartment building.
post 30: With the car continuously moving, the thoughts of those outside its metal frame came in short bursts...
She could feel her hand touching his from his own senses...she felt Alex's presence deep inside the recesses of his mind.
I still can't hear his thoughts though..."You on the other hand, are transparent as ever.
Stephanie details:
- Spoiler:
- post 16: ...the floor looming above their heads helping her stay focused and acting as a bit of a shield...It was like a hole in the world existed on top of their heads.
post 20: Did all Agents produce that black hole emptiness?
Stephanie's mask began to shift and change dramatically.
But it was like there was a cloud of static around her...the white noise itself did not feel like a Brillo pad being raked across the inside of her skull.
But there was nothing beyond the static except more static.
Like magic, the static seemed to subside somewhat and Gwen could hear a bit of the woman's thoughts. All she heard however was an echo as the woman spoke.
People didn't think like that.
But it all felt very shallow, every emotion and thought like a script she was reading from and only went about face deep. Just beyond these thoughts Gwen could hear the low hum of that awful static. What is that?
post 22: ...despite that puzzling white noise and the annoying echo of thought...With the static buzzing lightly in her ear and the woman parroting everything she was thinking in her own head...
...was met with the emotionless mask and the deep and all-consuming void in the woman's head.
...that faceless mask making her look like a robot...but the woman was quick, faster than should be possible for a human body...
post 26: Even from outside the building, she could feel that emptiness inside Stephanie stir...the mask she wore instantly moved back into place as she regarded the empty hallway...the immovable blank features of her face remaining stoic as she stared down at Jason's body.
Jason details:
- Spoiler:
- post 1: Jason had been brought in for one reason: analysis and covert operations...He had training, but it was for a completely different level than what they skulked around on.
Alex history:
- Spoiler:
- post 3: "The stolen property is Alexander. He was supposed to be under lock and key, but he broke out and ended up stealing himself.
post 7: Other than 'Alexander - #05, successful transfer' printed lovingly at the top...Beneath the list of those that'd been killed was the list of whoever Alex had, reportedly, let go.
post 17: Since when is getting a passport so important? You know I can have one made. I've done it six times for you already.
post 19: He went inside, pulled out the dresser shelves, then started rooting around for whatever was important. He was grateful that'd he'd managed to keep that organized after all these years.
post 27: ...but apparently Alexander was as familiar with his technology as Frenchie insisted.
That's why those credit cards would come in handy. He wasn't stupid enough to actually have any in his name, even if using them at all still came with a risk.
Gwen history:
- Spoiler:
- post 2: Not that the woman wasn't looking for men to date, but technically she wasn't...
post 4: ...he seemed to be a loner and it was the same with Gwen.
post 8: Ever since the stalker last year...She would be forced to remember what it was like to play and flirt with a man and to build a relationship from the first conversations onwards...It had been a long time since Gwen had been close to anyone or had any friends and her weekly call with her mother and then her editor wasn't fulfilling that need.
post 10: Then there was an email from Gwen's editor...
post 22: Remembering her self-defense classes...
Benoit history:
- Spoiler:
- post 9: He'd been around longer than anyone could remember and Jason's stupid intel had crashed their case into his.
post 11: He'd invested as much pain, sweat and tears into this case and he needed it to close.
post 21: "It was supposed to be me, initially. Your friend and I were among the final contenders for the honour. I cannot imagine what he did to steal the glory away -"
Jason history:
- Spoiler:
- post 1: He had a reputation to protect. One wrong word from the Ice Queen and everything he'd worked for would shatter.
post 5: The reflex was another trick he'd picked up...which explained why they'd been holding him where he was.
This was not the first time he'd told that idiot to fuck off. Why the hell did he keep working with him?
post 29: "This is the first one I have seen who avoided the drugs they pair with the product, but he is as weak and helpless as any other. You must be mindful of him at all times. They are known to go mad if the suit is damaged."
Stephanie history:
- Spoiler:
- post 4: Gwen's apartment. Stephanie had photos of it, floorplans and had even arranged her own private rooms to mimic Gwen's decor and the actual apartment was right next door free to be explored. It was something she'd waited a long time to see...
post 6: Stephanie had the whole set on a shelf back at headquarters and had read them all several times to the point where she not only knew the story printed upon the pages but also the thought processes that had birthed every word of it.
post 20: ...the face she had a million pictures of and had studied extensively.
In addition to having researched Gwen extensively, Stephanie had files on everyone else in the building. She knew very well about Gerald Tomas's condition.
Injuries:
Alex:
- Spoiler:
- post 30: She could feel the small slivers of glass still embedded in the side of his hand...and the broken toe and she wondered how he'd gotten them.
Physical descriptions:
Gwen:
- Spoiler:
- post 12: ...a silent plea in her baby blue eyes...
post 20: ...the gaping open white blouse and black skirt instantly proving her theories correct.
Benoit:
- Spoiler:
- post 21: The Agent, hovering in his early-to-mid-forties...
Jean:
- Spoiler:
- post 9: "I will crack your skull." He could do it with one hand, Jason admitted, but only if the blob could move fast enough to pull it off
post 21: ...especially the seven foot tall one with the zero balance in his body...
Jason:
- Spoiler:
- post 23: Xander grabbed the guy by his curly hair...
Stephanie:
- Spoiler:
- post 2: Stepping forward, her slender, angular curves swayed beneath the suit she wore as she came to stand in front of him...There was nothing in her eyes but a deep emptiness but her inch-long fingernails lightly tapped on his flesh threateningly.
post 6: ...her green eyes growing brighter...
post 8: Looking stonily up at her reflection and her own barely there makeup style - all except for her darkened lips...
post 22: ...the golden woman's fingers.
Locations:
Gwen apartment:
- Spoiler:
- post 6: As Jason was busy looking over everything, her own eyes were wandering, marveling inwardly as if she were sight-seeing at a celebrity's house... The young woman just preferred to live in a tidy space...
Turning to her right, the area closest to her, she walked into the kitchen...Back in the main room...
Cities:
- Spoiler:
- post 28: ...he blanched a little when Xander said "10 cities away"...He was heading south right now and so far...

- Spoiler:
- post 12: ..giving Mr. Crags a blowjob in exchange for him fixing it.
Steven Diaz/Mordeth(Gwen's story characters):
- Spoiler:
- post 18: If she'd had to imagine a scene such as this between her character and the one she'd made up to represent Xander in her story - "Mordeth" the demon...
reading minds:
- Spoiler:
- post 12: Mrs. Lambriola on the first floor apartment 2A...
Nicole Payne has a broken radiator on the second floor and was busy giving Mr. Crags a blowjob in exchange for him fixing it.
In the apartment next door to them, David Rhodes was hunting...

post 28: ...Sal felt a little like he...
post 30: Sal strained to hear the conversation...

- post 5: This was not the first time he'd told that idiot to fuck off. Why the hell did he keep working with him?
post 7: 'Thanks, Gary. You're still a jerk, though.'
People Xander let live/2 months:
- Spoiler:
- post 7: "Hang on. I know those names." Three of them. Tracy Patterson. Brahim Comor. Alan Thomas - he'd trained with those guys...all of them were dead.

Re: ✦ The TOKoR Mini Wiki ✧
Note: Not too much on this page since the bulk of it was character development. The posts on this page were mostly short with very little mention of history or Agents - mostly just action and reactions to what was happening NOW. There were several posts in a row that I didn't take down anything for because there wasn't anything important to this documentation in them.
As far as the timelime, the Agents just discuss joining forces for 2-3 posts each, before we drop them for this page, so they were not included on the graph.
Subsections for Page 4:
Nathan details/history - anything regarding "Nathan's", the banshee's or David's powers and history. I'm putting the power and history together for now because I'm not sure if there's enough to really separate the two subgroups - so for right now it's just a general "all information about Nathan". If it becomes too crowded, I may separate it into two groups later.
Nathan(physical description)
Vestal Suites - a one time thing to include the map of the hotel.

Agency Body Transfer Process:
- Spoiler:
- post 1: He was also a candidate for transfer...he would become the blessed host and, for the rest of his life, serve as an eternal employee of the Agency..."For some reason, he wasn't able to take full control of the host, likely because the technology used was too new and barbaric...
post 29: I've been trained to analyze things a very particular way, so if they do get us, they'll be going through every memory I've made over the past eight years.
...but considering it was me fucking your every plan at normality or the robot yanking your mind out of your brain, you technically owe me a thank you."
Agency Technology:
Sunglasses:
- Spoiler:
- post 3: "These are of higher quality than what our Agency provides as standard equipment...
Lenses:
- Spoiler:
- post 3: The lenses allow us to follow a trail Alexander creates as he moves. Wherever he goes, we will be able to follow."
Agency history/details:
- Spoiler:
- post 3: He gave one pair of the mirrored glasses to the woman with a high note of respect, as was expected of anyone advanced enough to reach her level...Squabbling, no matter how entertaining Benoit would find it, was not something he tolerated in the presence of other senior employees.
post 9: Agents were notorious for being emotionless robots.
post 21: But there's other teams following other cases. They don't share work with each other...
post 29: I've been trained to analyze things a very particular way, so if they do get us, they'll be going through every memory I've made over the past eight years.
Xander details:
- Spoiler:
- post 1: ...if there was anything to be grateful for about being stuck like... this, it was him not having to be the one to put up with the fresh pain.
...and I'll... be stuck here until I can get control...
"Alexander can overload a person's mind..."The attacks are controlled through his willpower...The deaths are indistinguishable from normal causes...
post 3: In the darkness like this, not knowing if or when he'd get out of here, he'd hit a new level of discomfort.
He tried to take a breath, panicked a bit when he couldn't, but managed to relax despite that.
Aside from Alexander, who boasted a speed that was nearly a power in itself...
post 5: Like this, he couldn't sleep...He was well aware of who was picking him up and where they were taking him, even if he couldn't feel it...
There weren't going to be any short bursts of control and short rests anymore...
Alex could see Xander squinting against the light, like he really had been in a coma and was waking up after months of darkness.
post 7: He started concentrating. He fought harder...reaching out for it now and practically swiping through empty air...absolutely nothing happened and he felt like an idiot for trying.
post 13: "I don't know if coffee's gonna do anything," Xander said..."I can block her a little. I'm sure if she forced it - or if I'm sleeping or something - she can pick up some stuff. She's getting readings from my foot, that's for damn sure."
post 17: ...he called to her, getting louder as she got farther away. Did volume matter anymore?
The agony of the impending loss came loud and clear in Alex's mind. It was the first real emotion he'd been able to pick up on.
post 21: Alex started getting thin trickles of... guilt. From Xander...
post 27: Alex had the unfortunate inability to tell how sharp the effect was now that he was riding in the backseat...Alex had figured out very early on that drinking stopped the voices in his mind and he was almost positive it'd work both ways...
post 29: I've been trained to analyze things a very particular way, so if they do get us, they'll be going through every memory I've made over the past eight years.
Gwen details:
- Spoiler:
- post 2: She can hear and sense everything you think and feel as if they were her own thoughts and emotions...
post 6: ...then felt the burst of excitement coming off of him in waves accompanied by Xander's own emotions filling her head.
post 8: When the image of Xander's fist crushing into his own face flashed in her mind...and felt the pain in Xander's foot flaring in her own...
post 12: A shiver of pain ran through her own toes as Xander forced his swollen foot back into his shoe...
Before, Gwen had been helpless when it came to the flow of thoughts that entered her mind...Instead of them entering her mind, she was entering theirs.
...her mind reaching out to catch glimpses and whispers of different people and different lives, like photographs and memories blowing by her like leaves on a breeze.
post 20: ...the warm searing in the woman's brain flashing through Gwen's temple with a harsh pulse...
post 26: ...nosily she probed into their thoughts, letting a few emotions drift in here and there... By the time they'd reached their booth, she'd sampled a bite from half the menu without feeling a tiny bit full from it.
post 28: ...as she felt him release that same jolt of power that he'd used before...his internal thoughts racing with suspicions and accusations, feeling incredibly distraught.
Stephanie details:
- Spoiler:
- post 2: "After many tried methods, the most successful way I've found to counter her abilities is the Emotion Desensitization Training...
post 4: "I do not find things funny," she said in a monotone voice...
Nathan details/history:
- Spoiler:
- post 29: And as if the boy was trying to prove that point, he flickered out of existence and then popped back at the side of a different table ten feet away.
Alex history:
- Spoiler:
- post 1: Then again, he'd been happy to spend an afternoon chasing down Agents on rooftops last year, and Alex'd had a fracture down his entire leg.
The Frenchman would've ruled it out. He knew Alex well enough to know his injuries would never drag him into such a public place so soon.
He hadn't been able to stand the first time he'd faced an Agent...
"Very well. Alexander. The guest, I should clarify, not the host. He is the thief we are here to judge, owing to his theft of the host the Agency intended to embrace."
"Alexander-the-guest was one of the lead Agents on the case...
post 3: We can't risk you going to the bank, so what you have is what you have. I've got a system set up, though, and Xander won't sleep anywhere that doesn't have at least four stars, so... there's that.
...he knows not to try blasting through it. He learned the lesson the hard way...
post 5: When they'd first been put together, he used to be able to steal his body for weeks at a time. Hell, once, Xander took over for all of April.
post 7: This was exactly what it was like the first year, constantly fighting and pulling and tearing at each other for what they both knew was their right to have...In that first year, he'd always been able to feel his arms and legs...
"Two years, snickerdoodle, and I turned out okay...
post 9: You know I can fly a helicopter, right? And a jet." ..."'Cause I can drive a train, too.
post 21: It was a peace-offering of sorts, one he'd made Alex - if he was too tired - give to whomever else he'd made cry several times before.
post 23: All the small things Xander had beaten into him, all the instincts he'd developed over years of practice...
post 25: "I should be eating in places like this more often. It's the whole reason I take the jobs I take."
post 29: ...over the past eight years." Six.
"As for that third thing... well, I've lived through it twice. I don't think I have to worry about it again.
Gwen history:
- Spoiler:
- post 4: For the past few months, she'd been living off of her savings...
post 18: She'd never had very much luck with men...after these past 9 months of telling herself she preferred to be by herself and liked the peace and quiet, she was actually very lonely.
post 30: Rarely did she ever indulge in drinking of any kind, except at the few social gatherings she'd attended to promote her books...
Benoit history:
- Spoiler:
- post 3: Jean was not a tiny man. Benoit had selected him largely because of that...Jean was the first to join this team and the last to remain on it...
Benoit would not be deciding where that was. If Jean let him, the man would choke down a plate of sugar and swear it was a vegetable 'because it came from a tree'... the other and more Canadian one...
Stephanie history:
- Spoiler:
- post 2: Two cases that she'd worked on before being assigned to Gwen had been with a boy who could teleport and a young woman who could control fire.
At the mention of the rest of her team, she realized immediately to whom he was referring...She already knew most of them were dead now and that Alexander was the cause.
Many nights she'd stayed up late imagining what it would be like to meet her...
Injuries:
Alex:
- Spoiler:
- post 1: His toe hadn't been too much of a problem so far...
post 2: ...the darkly purple and blue toe on his left foot...
post 7: What happened to my foot?! "Huh. Looks swollen,"...as in the one that wasn't mutilated and purple...
Gwen:
- Spoiler:
- post 2: Her stomach and sides were littered with bruises and her arms were sore from where the female Agent had been blocked...The bitch really did a number on my hair follicles though...
Physical descriptions:
Gwen:
- Spoiler:
- post 4: Taking a hair tie out of her bag, she tied her hair back into a neat bun...
post 20: ... and ran a hand over her hair, touching her bun lightly and some of it falling out into her face.
Benoit:
- Spoiler:
- post 2: His long angular face was lightly aged...topped by slender eyebrows that curved and moved with sophisticated emotion.
Jean:
- Spoiler:
- post 1: Stupid child. The whole of his head could fit in Jean's hand and crush as quickly.
post 3: Jean was not a tiny man...His fingers were enough to crush rocks unaided and his square face, narrow eyes...
Stephanie:
- Spoiler:
- post 2: Her dull green eyes traveled...
post 4: ...her golden yellow suit jacket, revealing a modest and plain white, silk shirt underneath it.
Nathan:
- Spoiler:
- post 29: Well – ‘boy’ in the sense he looked to be within his teens...His hair had been shaved off and around his chest was a strap for the bag that waited on his right hip.
Locations:
Cities:
- Spoiler:
- post 4: ...the place they were at now was a city called Vestal...
post 6: Her smile grew as she saw that there was a strip mall with restaurants on the other side of the street in front of the hotel.
Vestal Suites:
- Spoiler:
- post 4: ...the taxi came to a stop in front of a tall and grandly built hotel. A gold and royal blue engraved stone slab sat out front in a flower bed, proclaiming in flowing letters that this was the Vestal Suites.
The front entry way and paved roadway around the sides of the hotel were surrounded by luxurious lamps...
The elevators took them up to the fourth floor...
Minor Characters mentioned:
Mike Weir:
- Spoiler:
- post 1: ...by the tango with 'Mike' or whoever...
Barista:
- Spoiler:
- post 15: "No problem, sir," the girl laughed. And this was what Alex hated the most about the place: they were such robots...
reading minds:
- Spoiler:
- post 14: Cherri was still feeling a little giddy about the cute guy...
Teresa on the other hand...

Notes: Agents reappear on this page, but I didn't give them much action because they mostly just talk in the car. Also, the map isn't anywhere they've been, but it's a location mentioned to give an estimate of where the Agents are on the road, when Gwen locks with Stephanie.

Jason(injuries)
people considered for transfer into Alex - Probably a one time thing, but names were briefly mentioned on this page.

Agency Body Transfer Process:
- Spoiler:
- post 7: ...he can't wrap his head around the fact that this is his body, too...They'd never thought they'd be hearing from Alex again because he was supposed to be dead or out of the way.
Not realizing Xander was an Agent was one thing... like they were from another person were actually from another person.
post 13: "The machine, the machine - it kills them - makes zombies - they die and then they're walking - it's weird-"
post 14: He'd watched someone go through the process of having an Agent put inside them...
post 17: ...but they want me – they need me – I’m new – I’m special – they want me in the machine –”...“How many times did they put you in there?” Xander’s voice was low. “Do you hear any voices?”
post 18: ...she got a few flashes of him being put into a chair...
post 27: We must always remember why we work the way we do:..
It’s hard feeling good about anything lately, especially since I’ve picked up this banshee, plus fourteen oth'as,”
post 29: “What’s the deal with them? The berries.”...“Keep me goin’, nullify the effects of the wear’n’tear...
Agency Technology:
Jason's suit:
- Spoiler:
- post 20: Orange light swept over her vision and she gasped with a laugh as she looked about the room...she faced Xander and the same thing happened as before, except the information that came up was some sort of file...
Some words flowed before her on the screen as if someone had sent her a message...
post 21: So much orange. So many little blurbs of text popping over everything...until it was like he’d been set up at a computer.
Menus flipped up... a list streaked over eyes, too fast for anyone to possibly read...
“A headache. A good one, too. The suits are specifically designed to adapt to the mind of the first person who straps in...“Ear-splitting, mind-rending, eye-burning agony?... I don’t recommend you tell the guy who owns these...They – and me, too – get really, really touchy about people messing with this stuff.
post 22: ...there was an identifiable pattern on his left shoulder that mimicked the one on the side of the goggles...
post 23: He was beginning to regret being one of the only suit-wearers who wasn’t hopped up on a hundred different drugs to prevent this kind of... reaction...
Virtual, fine, but they didn’t have the mental-manipulation capacity like his goggles...
...he’d last for at least a week...
...then he realized he was the only one who’d either a) lost his goggles or b) lost his goggles while not on drugs...
post 25: A tracking system like his goggles had. So much effort had gone into perfecting his interface...
“You lost a part of your suit,” Frenchie said, waving it off. “From what I hear, the effect is not far from losing your arm.”
post 27: ...the boy was here to provide information and analyze his surroundings purely through the use of his suit...cured through the use of several very potent ‘pharmaceuticals’...
Sunglasses:
- Spoiler:
- post 22: ...glasses which she saw now were of the same kind of technology as the goggles..
post 23: Any request for information...had to be manually entered...And how was that information entered? Through a keyboard...
Lenses:
- Spoiler:
- post 23: ...every now and then, Frenchie would point his finger and Flunky would drive down a different road, like they could see the path their case had taken.
The lenses could record? At will instead of all the time?...
post 27: ...we not only know where Alexander is, but we know the pace he plans to move at...
Agency history/details:
- Spoiler:
- post 5: "You're an idiot. That's not how it works...We'll play into it. He's not gonna hurt us."
post 14: ...but the lab and Agency instantly sent up red flags and she got very brief images in her mind of what he was talking about...Again she got a clearer view of the sterile room with pictures of people...
post 15: “Labbies are stupid and they don’t send Agents against something if they’re blind...
post 21: ...until one of them sends in a report – which has to be done in a very secure way and requires a teeny bit more effort than calling somebody...
I don’t recommend you tell the guy who owns these...They – and me, too – get really, really touchy about people messing with this stuff.
post 23: There were certain comments to be made that were mandatorily filled out and posted...
“I was checking her neck to make sure there wasn’t a tag,”...They bury it so it’s not easy to find.”
They could’ve hidden it somewhere else, used a smaller piece...
post 25: The Agents were formed –” – after you escaped and yadda, yadda.
Relying on reports of what attacks were made where are the ancient ways.”
post 27: “And what would you do if we had not changed our ways? Before, when these cases were led by dozens, your precious Gwen would have been hunted by ten...If this had been the old days, the Agency would have moved on to a new lead by now...
We must always remember why we work the way we do:..
post 29: “I... was... in a lab, I suppose. Real dark and gloomy thing...and suddenly it hits me that you were on this list.”
Xander details:
- Spoiler:
- post 1: There was no indication Xander had even moved until he was standing...
That exhaustion - the one Alex had been specifically trying to avoid - was swooping in again.
post 5: As if he'd been reminded of how tired he was, he drooped again. He swayed - actually, literally swayed...Xander said, now incapable of hiding his weariness.
post 7: Xander was a superhero - big and glorious and completely untouchable by those monsters that were chasing him...
post 8: "Shit, Alex, I don't understand what's wrong with him as far as pain is concerned...He's just really desensitized to it or something.
post 9: First of all, Xander didn’t ‘need’ coffee. He liked the taste...
Alex was awake for hours listening to the sounds of three people breathing...
post 21: He’d worked out all the bugs in an impossibly sophisticated shred of technology...and yet he couldn’t figure out a phone.
post 25: Alexander’s powers have grown in strength over time, but it levelled off years ago and its basic premise remained the same.
post 27: “Rest assured, we are killing him...
post 29: I can longer trust a surprise attack to work, and so extreme patience – the great Achilles heel of all that defines Alexander – will be my new sword...
Gwen details:
- Spoiler:
- post 2: ...the light humming on her skin letting her know when Alex was speaking.
post 6: And also, it was annoying not hearing everything that was going on, the silence becoming like torture to her when she was forced into it by circumstance.
...before she reached out further to make sure he was okay otherwise. Immediately the pain in his foot blared in her own and she cried out in surprise...
post 8: ...as she followed him through a memory that flashed in his mind...but the sensation was the same with her standing off to the side as events played out around her...beyond what Alex sensed and felt she could not extend her power to the others in his memory.
Each memory only lasted a minute or two to run their course and when they were gone, she still held onto the images in her head, able to replay them back like watching a movie.
Using her senses she probed the flesh inside and out getting every tiny little sliver out of it while she spoke.
post 10: Dreams flittered through her mind, memories that were not hers, transferred straight to her from other guests on their floor, her gift running freely without her consciousness to control it.
Not only did her head hurt from being put through a wringer all night, but she'd still been connected to him and had ended up hitting herself in the face.
post 12: ...when the jolt hit her. It was a hot pulse and she gasped aloud...You know it hurts me, right? If I'm not prepared, I can feel what you do to them.
post 16: Alex's voice drifted to her in that echoing way she began to find comforting...
post 18: ...while internally she felt flung around in a tornado trying to keep up with him...Gwen reached out and touched it from the inside and could feel it pulsing painfully...
post 22: ...locked with his senses as she was, she could hear the person he was speaking to on the phone...
Curious, she started to reach forward through the goggles and see if she couldn't hear some of what was going on...deadpan voice that came in a hollow and echoed way to Gwen's ears... rooted in place and struggling to disengage herself but unsure of how to do so at this distance...
post 24: ...her newly awakened powers gave her the ability to hear the thoughts of others and to feel their emotions as if they were her own..."She can span a wider range through long distance connections now...
post 26: "There are limits to what she'll eventually be able to accomplish and it is all related to her core empathic abilities..."She has possessed her abilities and been working with them actively for less than 24 hours...Maybe a few days more if Alexander restricts himself to using his powers only once a day."
post 28: In conjunction with her abilities, she could prove to be formidable in hand-to-hand combat...
post 30: When I am within range of her, my mental signature will be detected by her...until Gwen had gained complete control of her abilities, which Stephanie still estimated about 5-7 days before that would happen.
Stephanie details:
- Spoiler:
- post 22: ...the static returned and Gwen felt her nose start to gush blood as it filled her head with a higher pitch than she'd ever experienced before...
post 24: ...she squinted as a loud and piercing hum consumed her head, throbbing painfully through her skull...The static that had filled Stephanie's mind and severed her from their connection was all she could feel inside her own head right now...Gwen lightly touched a hand to her forehead when she realized she couldn't hear Alex...
As a result, she should be sore for a while and unable to use her powers...
post 30: "However, I am now on constant alert for her presence, which I am now able to detect as well as she can me...
Jason details:
- Spoiler:
- post 27: ...he still had training. He was fast. He was very likely armed...
Nathan details/history:
- Spoiler:
- post 5: "He's sixteen. His powers are 'running away'. He's the kind of person Alex could take, so you should have no problem kicking his ass.
post 13: "I don't know her - who is she - I saw a picture - no I didn't - I was in a lab - I escaped - you know the Agency?"
"The lab - it had it - the one with everything - with the faces..."The machine, the machine - it kills them - makes zombies - they die and then they're walking - it's weird-"
post 15: Alex wanted to feel sorry, but the kid seemed so feral that it was hard to pin down where the humanity he would’ve mourned was supposed to come from. What the hell had happened to him?
post 17: It echoed. He thought it did, anyway. What the boy said... It pulled him from the mud his thoughts had walked into.
“I left it. I left it – the lab – it’s there – I don’t know where...
