Okies, I'll wait for the appropriate time to launch that part of the plot, either when they all go to bed or straight away in the morning. ^^

Re: A Desolate Future - alexknyde & TimeOfTheEye
The new characters I will put into play soon as the man hunting them. I figure Cindy, the escort, will just have a minor part to play in the "interview" part of it, so I'll leave her without a character sheet.
Name: Detective Robert Sorenson
Age: 45
Gender: Male
Appearance: He's about 5'10, with an average build, with blonde hair cut short but with long bangs, small blue eyes, a small button nose and thin lips in the shape of a bow.
Bio: He's been a member of the police force for 20 years and been a detective for about 10. A bit of a loner, he's one of the best detectives in the city, probably the whole country and has a unique insight when it comes to solving crimes. A bit obsessive when it comes to cases, he tries hard to get into the heads of the people he's after and will not give up the hunt. After years of dealing with him and his intuitive process with both immediate and delayed successes, his superiors let him have free reign with the confidence that he WILL catch the criminals he's after.
Name: Detective Aileen Dobbs
Age: 32
Gender: Female
Appearance: Short and thin in stature, she has bone straight, shoulder-length, dark brown hair and plain features.
Bio: She's been a detective only about 3-4 years and is used to being the submissive in her partnerships. A few years ago, she was assigned as Robert's partner, but she merely runs errands for him and does a lot of the background research for the cases, mostly staying out of his way and occasionally offering her own advice and insight. She has medical knowledge and a good memory for case files.

Aw, that sucks. =( Well, whenever you can get online we'll continue to write.
And that really sucks about the post.

I'm sorry about the short post, but I don't really see a way to have any good conversation if the posts are super long. They need to be quicker, lol

I understand. No problem! Sometimes things need to move quickly. =)

Re: A Desolate Future - alexknyde & TimeOfTheEye
lol I apologise for skipping the fun stuff - I didn't feel the need to spend a ton of time on that when we have bigger things to be dealing with.

No problem. I do not mind, really. ^_^ It was handled very nicely and the plot moves forward!

I'm really sorry that took so long. My internet has been going in and out all evening and making it difficult to get that post done. I almost lost it at one point.

Oh now Margot is making Rel's life difficult. lol great

Heh, hopefully her mistake will go largely unnoticed in favor of more obvious leads. ^^

I feel like my posts are insufficiently small compared to yours : (

Re: A Desolate Future - alexknyde & TimeOfTheEye
Aw, don't feel that way. D= I adore writing with you and reading your posts. Quality over quantity; if you can say what needs to be said in a smaller amount of words, it doesn't bother me. Sometimes, when writing, I can't help myself and I add a lot of unnecessary fluff. XP

Re: A Desolate Future - alexknyde & TimeOfTheEye
lol I'm glad you don't mind. I get really paranoid.
"It's cause I'm young, okay!" That's what goes through my head. lol

I can understand that. We're all most critical of our own work. ^^

I feel like something is missing from the RP. Do you agree? There is something that needs to be added. I just don't know what it is...

Re: A Desolate Future - alexknyde & TimeOfTheEye
Hm, I'm not really sure. I find myself interested in what Rel is possibly up to, and I imagine that soon, the detectives will get to the end of Margot's trail; how she ended up at the hotel. But as of right now, I'm not sure. The detectives have put out alerts already for police to be on the look out for both Rel and Margot based on descriptions and the photos they have of her; the people Rel works for might be upset about that?
I'm really not sure what you mean when you say something is missing. Is it not going fast enough for you? We could step it up a notch? Right now, I'm just laying the groundwork for the detectives and backtracking with Margot's story, but I had planned to have Detective Robert Sorenson become a bit more obsessed with finding Rel and become more of an adversary for them. While at the same time, along the way, he uncovers a few horrible conspiracies perpetrated by the government he works for and has to struggle with allowing his superiors to cover their asses or continue chasing this young man who's probably the most dangerous assassin he's ever encountered. *shrugs*

Re: A Desolate Future - alexknyde & TimeOfTheEye
I hope you are enjoying the side story with the detectives. ^.^ I'm loving writing it(lol, as if you couldn't tell by the mountains of text I put out for those parts ^^;;; ). And I hope you don't mind the collection of character sheets. They're more to help me better articulate and focus on what I want to do with certain characters. This one I've been planning ever since I first came up with the detectives and their roles in the story. ^^
Name: Liam Ellison - "Jack Whitehorne"
Age: 33
Gender: male
Appearance: Tall, with broad shoulders and thin build, light brown hair cropped short, pointed nose, scruffy chin and a dashing smile.
Bio: Going by the codename "Jack Whitehorne", he is a reporter for the Underground newspaper, H.U.S.H. and was Alyssa's lover before she disappeared. Not much to say about him except he's an extremist and idealist and has a long criminal record for protesting in public and breaking and entering into government labs and military bases. He has a lot of knowledge about government conspiracies, but his credibility is tempered by his drug addictions.

Re: A Desolate Future - alexknyde & TimeOfTheEye
Ha - I adore this new character of yours. He fascinates me already. And yeah, the mini plan with the detectives sounds great. I will be adding some more Rel in there right away, actually. No worries
I don't think that the RP needs to go faster - I think it is a pretty good pace. I almost feel like we are forgetting a piece of the plot. lol well we will be getting a lot done soon. I'm still enjoying myself immensely, so no worries. Again.
Oh, kudos for the actual scrap of paper. That was a sweet suprise.

Re: A Desolate Future - alexknyde & TimeOfTheEye
Hehe, I'm glad you like him. I figure that he is probably a part of the same Underground circle that Alyssa was, just one faction with the goal of informing the public about the upper class and exposing the corruption of the main government agencies and their officials. And yes, I'm so glad you liked the piece of paper! It's just a little thing, but I thought it would be neat to show what it said instead of having Robert or any of them say it and rather than just jumping ahead to the club without even saying what was on the paper. ^^
I understand now what you mean about us forgetting a piece of the plot, but I don't know what it could be. It'll be alright though. If it's important enough, it'll come up again.

Re: A Desolate Future - alexknyde & TimeOfTheEye
New character!
Name: James Craft
Age: 48
Gender: Male
Appearance: He has clean brown hair that is starting to grow in gray, and cold gray eyes. He is tall but slender, preferring to use intellegence over brawn.
Occupation: The head of the kill-for-hire group that Rel works for.
Sorry for the sparse info. I prefer for the story to reveal more.
