Realizing he hasn't the skill, he embarks upon an epic quest to Elfynhyme, to study elvish smithry and forge a blade that can change the world....

Unfortunately, if you write this story, it will become a viral success among second-graders and you will no longer have a life, as your creation will forever dominate your destiny.

The Smith facepalms and chuckles to himself. Why is he going to the Elves when he has a Dwarf for a next door neighbor? Dwarves are far superior smiths than the pointy ears. He turns around, gets a few tips and makes his sword.

A potenial epic is ruined. Congrats!

Granted. You no longer fall for people's pranks or ribbing ...and then you realize that was the only reason people kept you around in the first place. You're too smart; boys no longer believe they have a chance with you and they don't talk to you. Girls find you overly suspicious when you can call them on all their double talk. Your father is depressed now that you see him as he really is. Your teachers hate you because you NEVER SHUT UP during their lessons. Politicians ignore all the issues you value because they know it's hopeless to pander in your direction. Mystery writers wish you would jump off a bridge. You never have another surprise birthday party. Your kid grows up to need therapy. You dye your hair blonde and spend the rest of your life purposely walking on top of banana peels, desperately trying to convince anyone that you're a fun person.
