Oh, sorry to add this as last-minute, but I'd like to clear some stuff up that I went over with Hermione: the rooms themselves as well as the people.
1) Clothing. I don't really care too much how you go about this, except know that the sages are spiritual leaders and thus will likely wear several ceremonial garments. I'll leave it to you to come up with what these are. Most of the clothing is made of leather from the wildlife or spun some cloth or other. I've noticed a lot of you mentioned fish as a meal, too, and this is fine. After all, they still trade with other nations.
2) Utensils and the accessories. For a group of people that can mold anything out of stone, most everything from the cookware to the furniture will be made of stone or clay, with possibly some more comfortable material on top of, say, chairs and beds. Wood is also a likely use, but keep in mind that wood in this region is petrawood, and thus while it is organic it still looks and feels like stone, though it has wood-like patterns and is softer than the actual element.
3) Water. As an added info bonus, I will say how these people, who are so far away from any open fresh water source, can get it to their rooms. There is an underground spring in the mountain. From that spring and using carefully laid out plans, they have made small canals that lead to a medium-sized containers carved out of a wall. The canal's flow can be controlled by a small flood gate and gravity does the rest. It may looks something like this:

At this point, the RP will be on a freeze until someone posts. The order doesn't matter (whether it is Musta or Sigh who posts next) just that someone gets this moving.

Alright, this has injected some vigor back, but we can't have this on life support forever. Sigh's going to have to post, preferably soon. As selfish as it may sound, I do hope she can make time to post here now and then. This is, after all, a serious RP with serious requirements, punctuality and commitment being two of the most important. 'Til then, let's just try to distract ourselves with other things to do. We do have lives, after all!

Hermione and I have decided that time's up, especially since we've noticed that Sighlent HAS been on recently and did not bother to post or even report to the OOC. As a result, the solution is this: I will replace her character with another made by me to serve as the Earth Primal's avatar. To make it fair, however, I wish that the rest of us vote on this.
Hermione and I have cast our vote on 'yes'. Musta, Savannah, what do you think?
EDIT: After we all vote, the motion will be effective as of the next day. Sigh has until that morning to post and therefore annul the motion if she wishes to remain here. If she manages, the time allotted before we proceed with this vote will be one week, and should she repeatedly wait until last minute to post again, I'll constrain it further to four days.

I have actually been wanting to suggest this idea for some time...thought I did not feel it was my place nor did I want to deprive Sigh of participating in anyway, since I value her as a player. However, as much as it my seem like my attitude towards this game is apathetic, I assure you it is quite the opposite. I havn't been this interested in a roleplay for a long time, only life has had other plans recently. In any case, I vote yes to ejecting Sigh on the basis of keeping the game rolling, and hereby pledge to devote more attention to this thread to avoid another incident such as this.
My apologies to both Adrius and Hermione, I understand that this is your brainchild, and you would not wish it dead. Carry on I say!

Appearance: Baruti is an impressively tall and broad man, standing at a clear 7'2'' and having a stocky, muscular physique, making him look more like a giant than a man. His skin is a darker shade of brown, but his native African ancestry is very clearly distinguishable. Despite his seemingly advanced age, Baruti still has the stamina of youth. He has a bald head, bulbous lips, near-hairless eyebrows, and tired, black eyes. Baruti's body is covered in scars, though he does not care to conceal them and, indeed, the larger scars on his back and smaller ones on his arms are difficult to hide.
Personality: Baruti is a very gentle, very silent man. He is slow to anger, only having done so to save his life, and even then being cautious about not letting anyone around him die. Even so, he is very sensitive about suffering, and will go out of his way to stop it unless it is a conflict that will obviously get him killed, a lesson he has more than reluctantly learned in times past. Baruti, while at ease with pleasant company, tends to prefer to spend time alone and with a block of wood and a knife, carving figurines of various African deities, animals, and cultural imagery.
History: Baruti was born to Andrew Williams and Nyika (Williams). Williams was Nyika's employer, though the way he extorted her made it more a thinly veiled slavery. The child was conceived after he raped her out of frustration and lust one night. Nyika, however, did not let it unnerve her, and even when she was forced to work while pregnant, constantly protected the baby from harm. The strain of carrying him carried to his birth, when she died. Left with a newborn "son" and one less worker, Andrew decided to regain the investment by making Baruti, whom he named "Bart" (despite his birth certificate revealed later, which has the name written which his mother had called him with her last breath), an even more effective "worker".
Baruti lived a very difficult life under his father. Made to do chores from the moment he was three years old and able to walk, Williams was merciful and allowed absolutely no slacking. The boy received no education, which suited Williams just fine, but the boy learned much from the folk tales, spirituals, and cultural literacy the other, far more parental workers gave him.
At the age of 21, Baruti entered his father's private estate in search of clues regarding what kind of person his mother was. He had learned all he could from the plantation workers, but he had not learned enough. He found his birth certificate, written in English, and snatched it away. Andrew never discovered it was gone.
At the age of 30, Baruti finally obtained freedom with his father's death. Knowing that it would take some time for the papers to be signed and the property be assigned to his other, more legitimate children, Baruti ran away in the dark night, singing a spiritual as he left the boundaries of his home.
Left with only his will to live, his birth certificate, and a bit of money and food that the workers had given him, Baruti set out and lived in the city of Johannesburg. Awed and shocked by the sights he saw, Baruti made the best and worked menial jobs that paid little. Nevertheless, he enjoyed his new, free life, though the racial discrimination never completely left him. He did not care, though. He was now independent. Eventually, he had someone read his birth certificate and learned his true name, forever casting away "Bart".
Baruti lived like this until he was 55 years old, the world a much different place from what he remembered. It was at night, as he was about to be settled to sleep, when he felt the singing feeling beneath his body. In mere seconds, Baruti was swallowed whole by the floor.

Ladies and gentlemen, the "getting to know each other" round has started. This will actually be two rounds long so as to get some conversation going. In fact, since it's conversation, consider it a bit of a free for all at the moment. By "free for all" I mean as often as you like until the guards come up to escort us out. Keep in mind, however, that you -must- have a reason to reply and the post must also have substance. One or two paragraphs won't do. Three is the minimum. This also extends to scenarios where there is one-on-one combat or something of the like. In a battle where all four of us (five with Baruti) are participating, standard turn rules apply.

Go ahead and bash me for this. I will not be able to post today. I have lots to do. I'm moving to Texas, starting either tomorrow, or Monday. We're going to swing by Kentucky to see my brother, then possibly straight to Texas. I will be busy unpacking, job searching, etc. If you want to move on without me, Adrius can feel free to take control of Helena. I don't want to put that strain on him, seeing how he plays NPCs, and two characters as it is. But I thought I'd let you guys know that I won't be dropping off the face of the internet. I'll just be super busy. I'll try to log in once I have a chance to, maybe at my brother's, and let you guys know that I'm okay.

Henceforth, I'll be letting the RP slack in terms of posting order. I think we've become comfortable and familiar enough with each other that we can be the judges of when to post. After all, too, most if not all of us are experienced writers. IF we do mess up, though, we'll revert to the usual ordered posting.
I can safely say our warmup is over l: )
