A look back at the movies of 2009.
Overall I would say that this year has been a decent year, despite the many blockbuster train wrecks over the summer. I believe it is thanks to the Indy films, a great many film makers have been discovered this year. Many with bright bright futures a head of them.
Top 10 films to me, (In no particular order):
Up
The Informant
Precious
Hurt Locker
Up in the Air
District 9
Inglorious Bastards
The Fantastic Mister Fox
Invictus
Moon
(Special mention to "The Messenger". Easily one of the years most emotionally POWERFUL films. Woody Harrelson best performance of his career.)
Here's to hoping 2010 will cap of the decade with the same or better quality year of films as 2008 had.
What's everyone elses thoughts on this years run of films?

Re: A look back at the movies of 2009.
What the problem for me is with this subject, is the fact that I live in The Netherlands and that movies that have been released in the US in 2009, usually get released six months/a year later or even 2 two years later here. Therefore I can immediately say that I didn't see most of the movies that were released in the US in 2009, so if you'll forgive me: I'll point out my favourites of the ones that were released in 2009 in The Netherlands, for I cannot speak about anything that I haven't seen.
In a random order, here they are:
Up
State of Play
Eden Lake
The Hangover
Revolutionary Road
I'm a cyborg but that's okay
Paranormal Activity
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
The Wrestler
