Hungry for brains... And for good writing! Empty Hungry for brains... And for good writing!

Hello all!

To start, I have an affinity for zombies. I love everything about them. Their appearance. Their fetish for brains. That adorable way their unhinged jaws wiggle when they walk. I love to read about them. I love to write about them. I suppose, this being an introduction and all, I should be entirely honest from the get-go and say that a small part of me (a very small part of me) wishes that a zombie apocalypse could occur.

Alright, now on to the unimportant stuff. My name is Justin, I've lived in central Jersey all my life. I'm currently twenty years old and go to college in Boston. What else... I've enjoyed reading and writing since I could do either. I am a movie fanatic for all types, be it action, sci-fi, horror (a personal favorite), romance (usually don't admit this one, but hey its the internet XD) or otherwise. I someday wish to pursue a career as a special agent accountant for the FBI and, if I'm lucky, write on the side.

RP-wise, I've only been a part of a few communities. I've invested a lot of my time into the WoW RP board, but seeing as I've given up playing the game, I'm forced to move on. Even so, I'm extremely excited that I happened upon this little gem of a site. Everything looks fantastic and I can't wait to jump in and start writing.

I suppose that's it. Oh, and if anyone has a zombie fetish like mine and could suggest any good zombie reading material, I would forever be in your debt.

Dude...totally :brains:

My wife (Ryona) and I are both hardcore zombie lovers! Though I don't think she would enjoy a zombie apocalypse...and me not so much either now that I have a son... But it is something I've dreamed about Suspect

As far as zombie fiction...I've yet to find something that really entertains me. Though I did read a bit of "The Living Dead", a compilation of short stories edited by John Joseph Adams. Unfortunately, he shies away from the typical zombie stories like what you see in the movies, but some of the stories in the book are quite good. Others are...not so good.

And by the way, I absolutely love your avatar!

Oh, and I forgot to mention...I'm writing my own sort-of-zombie novels. They are more like the 28 days/weeks later zombies, but I still consider those zombies despite not quite being dead. I don't really care for the slow zombie types...
I have a sort of prologue to it on the forums here, but it lacks any actual zombies as of now. I hope to have something up soon that is more into it.

Welcome to FOG, Justin! I'm sure you'll have a blast here! And my friend and I have had many conversations about how we plan to survive the impending zombie apocalypse. If you're looking for some good zombie reading, may I suggest Pride and Prejudice and Zombies? It's not really scary or anything, but it's definitely good for a laugh.

Welcome to FoG! I myself am not much of a zombie guy but I am sure there are some fans around here. Good luck with the FBI thing. From what I know (which is little) government jobs in spy departments are pretty tough to get. As for writing you came to the right place. I hope to see you around the swirly mists.

Welcome to FoG, Justin.

I will have to admit that the idea of zombies absolutely horrifies me. Of all the horror creatures imaginable, zombies are the most deathly terrifying to me. Dreams of zombie apocalypses actually leave me shuddering with a pounding heart and a momentary lapse in motor skills upon waking. All in all, I am most certainly not a zombie fan, but there are others like you in this place, so don't fret.

I hope you enjoy it here. ^^_^^
