Re: We Are One 2.0 [FULL for now]
Whoa whoa Raptorman there's only one man in Century city (and Ana's story) who's da big bad boss man. And that'd be me/Charlie. Now it would be in your best interest to get with the program before.....
Whoa sorry got stuck in character there for a minute. But in all seriousness love the character and a creative and imaginative way of spicing up old powers. But in an effort to NOT deviate from the story already established by the story's creator Anaris. There is one main bad guy and his two underlings.
HOWEVER, if you want your character to be a backstabbing two faced son of a gun. I think the story would very much allow for a character such as that but till then if you can switch your back story to include how your character is under my characters wing it would be greatly appropriated.
Bitch. Gah sorry getting in character again.

The Centurion
Name: Jeremiah Woods a.k.a. The Centurion
Age: 47
Ability: Jeremiah gained the power over electricity and to a lesser extent, magnetism in a freak accident twenty odd years ago. This has left him with several related abilities that all seem to stem from the earth's electromagnetic field and his own internal nervous system. The easiest and most primary of these traits seems to be his ability to generate an electrical charge within his body's cells, essentially converting his chemical energy into electricity. Once Jeremiah has generated or found a source of electricity he can control it's voltage and path. He is then free to form it into sparks, bolts or circulate it through parts of his body in order to form "shock punches." When given enough energy and time to focus his powers Jeremiah is also able to create balls of lighting and electromagnetic pulses.
As mentioned earlier Jeremiah has the ability to manipulate some magnetic forces as a side-effect of his electrical control. This includes the ability to polarize objects, the easiest of which are metallic objects. Organic and non-magnetic objects on the other hand take huge stores of energy to polarize and even more if he doesn't wish to actually electrify them. Using this he can either bind objects together or levitate them, an ability he calls upon regularly.
All of this raw power comes with a great handicap however in that Jeremiah's control over his powers is very limited when left unaugmented. That is where his suit of armor, Jupiter, comes in. The chief function Jupiter provides is allowing Jeremiah to fine tune the current, voltage and path of the electricity he controls. Just as important is the suit's on-board power cells that lessen the strain on Jeremiah's body to generate electrical energy. The Jupiter suit as a whole is comprised of interlocking titanium plates, which can stand up to most small arms fire and absorb large kinetic strikes. Jeremiah's speed and strength are augmented by the suit but for the most part this is done to make up for the suit's weight. His helmet shares the same properties as the plates on his armor but also serves as a communications link with the police, providing them with radio and video transmissions. His weapons of choice are a Roman short-sword known as a gladius and a tower-shield as wide as his torso and half his height. Both his sword and shield are obviously metal and thus can be manipulated by him remotely.
His only true weakness is the limitations of his suit. Without it, he has almost no real control over his powers and if pushed could easily kill himself or those around him. Also, the power packs that are stored on the back of the armor explode violently if power is drawn from them when empty. In addition to all this, if the suit is left powerless it essentially becomes a massive weight that would only serve to impede Jeremiah's movement. There are also the rather obvious limitations of having electrical-based powers.
Side: Lawful Good
Bio: Jeremiah grew up in an large middle class neighborhood on the outskirts of Century City. His oldest brothers were involved in a local street gang by the time he was 12 and the rest of his family wasn't much better off. After a few years both of his brothers were found murdered, their killers never caught. It was attributed to gang violence and filed away neatly, no questions asked. Jeremiah always felt betrayed by their deaths and the fact that the detective on the case didn't seem to care. This pushed him to initially apply as a peace officer. His father disagreed fervently though, and Jeremiah would ultimately become an electrical engineer.
After a few years of mundane work in corporations, Jeremiah was picked by his old professor to assist on a weather control device. This event would serve to change his life irreparably. While servicing the interior of the weather device, Jeremiah was trapped inside. He called out for help, but the system was running an automated test with no one at the controls. Days later he was found, half alive and barely able to move. After a year of rehabilitated and study it was found that he had a powerful control over electricity. Faced with this he built Jupiter and started his crime fighting career. Initially he did so under the guise of The Centurion, fighting along side other vigilantes.
Eventually he became deputized under the police and revealed his identity. He was the first super hero to do so. To date he has been working with the police for fifteen years, one of the oldest super heros known. His name Centurion is obviously tied to Century City and was originally suggested to him by a police captain.
Appearance:
Jeremiah has a broad and sharp face with a thick sturdy jaw. His eyes are a cloudy dark brown and his light hazel hair is buzzed short within police regulation. He has thin lips and a short stubby nose, somewhat deformed from years of exchanging blows with criminals and supervillains. His once slender pale frame is now toned and padded with muscle, the result of his constant training and conditioning.
[Gladius]
[Shield]
[Jupiter]
Note: The face of Jupiter's helm is usually covered by a thick black material which resembles glass.

I edited my CS to reflect that he is at least nominally working for charlie.
Should I post IC at this time?
Also I noticed you had already figured out what some of the characters will be doing. What should mine be doing as you already have someone setting the bombs?
Should he just be killing some cops or something?

Oh nooo doubt about that.
I tweaked my profile, mostly the ability portion. I didn't feel that the original description really explained it in a meaningful or clear way. Sooo yeah.

Re: We Are One 2.0 [FULL for now]
Okay guys!
My little bomb idea might not be going down how I invisioned it, so for now, we're winging things. I'm going to work out my first post and I want everyone introduced before something insanely big happens.
For the Villains [Squall, Raptorman and Magix] ::
I want you all to be having some sort of meeting or something to determine if, when and where bombs will be placed around the city.
For the Heroes [Moira and Edon]::
You two can be doing as you please. Stopping small crimes, helping old people across the street, doesn't matter.
I know I'm sounding a little bossy, but I just want to make sure we get in character introductions before I start working out plans for big things to happen.
<3
I love all of you guys for joining and helping me revive this!

Ok Villains we shall meet in the back of an old run down bar. You two can post your intro post. And then my character will make his evil bastardy entrance. Also feel free to commit a crime or two before you arrive at said bar as long as your post end with them ending up at the bar it's allll good.

Name: James Michael Carvin "Ruhe"
Gender: Male
Age: 22
Ability: None
Side: Chaotic Good
Bio: James Michael Carvin grew up in the slums of Century City with his mother and father. His father worked as a small scale door to door salesman. The family lived off of week to week paychecks, barely scrapping up enough money to be able to pay the bills and pay for enough food. Then, one day the neighborhood broke out into violence, with gangs fighting each other and the police. Mr. Carvin and some other men in the neighborhood went to help the police in calming down the area.
A few hours later, a police officer came to James' door and asked for his mother. James obeyed, then was shooed away and up the stairs by his frantic mother. James hid at the top of the stairs and watched the conversation between the officer and his mother. Even as a 10 year old boy, James could tell what happened by the reaction on his mother's face.
Over the next seven years, James was moved around by his mother over fifteen times, his mom getting into abusive relationship after abusive relationship, with both her and James getting abused sometimes. When James was seventeen, he finally had enough, when his mother's new boyfriend hit her, James knocked him out with a punch to the side of the head. James' mother immediately kicked him out of the house, and he has lived in different places sense, barely able to hold up a job long enough to get a place to live.
Ever since he was kicked out, James has promised himself to ending things like what happened to him. He has changed his anger and bitterness towards a hatred against crime. He wants to make the world a better place, no matter what it takes.

Hey Raptor and Magix as you can see some other people have made their first post. So I'm checking up to see if the other 2 villains are making their posts. Remember the end of the post should be you waiting for Charlie to arrive in the back room of an old bar. But how you get there and what you do before then is all up to your twisted little minds.

While were on that particular subject, would lights that produce ultraviolet light (e.g. tanning booth lights, ect) be effective as well if it is sun light only? Just a thought.

Re: We Are One 2.0 [FULL for now]
Almost any light prouduced does have the capability of hurting shadow. It all depends on brightness and in the way it's prouduced. I'll make a list of how different light affects him.
- Sunlight, being the strongest form of natural light, is the only light with the potential to end his life. Any bare exposure can melt or burn his flesh in just an instant.
- Manmade light that prouduces UV lights, and Mercury lights are equally as dangerous (as eachother) to him. While the effects are not instantaneous as with sunlight, the symptoms from these lights have the same side effects with prolonged exposure to one spot, without the possibility for death.
- Flourescent lights have little to no effect on him.
- Neon lights or any kind of colored lights have a set affect on him depending on the color (this only accounts for manmade lights). For example, green and blue lights can bruise him, red, pink and orange can temporarily change the color of his skin to the respective color, yellow can slow down his movements, ect.
- Light reflected off something usually takes twice as long as normal to affect him. The only exception is Sunlight (in which it takes just as long as an un-reflected manmade UV ray would ), and blacklights (reflection has no affect on the affects of this light).
- Blacklights, moonlight, and light produced from the stars have no negative affects on him. Moonlight and starlight have no effect whatsoever on him in fact. Black lights however can heal injuries, even those produced by light. It is the only way to speed up healing of a light inflicted injury.
- Light produced by fire and normal light bulbs have little affect on him. They need to be so close to touching him that the heat of the fire would do more damage then the light of it.
Also just to note, when fighting, Zen cam turn his body into shadows in order to avoid being hit with swords, bullets, knives, ect., but in that state he is still vulnerable to light.

My only question is, what category would The Centurion's electrical light fall into? Given his abilities he could generate light by running electricity between different points of his body or objects around him. Though obviously he won't think to do this immediately or maybe even at all given his straight-forward nature.

Re: We Are One 2.0 [FULL for now]
It would probably be brighter then fire, yet not exactly as bright as a mercury light and whatnot... hmmm...
I'd probably say it falls inbetween the two categories. Howeverlet's give it a unique twist. Something to the effect of:
- Lightning or electricity produced light wouldn't actually physically harm him. It would (depending on brightness) affect him in various ways. These ways include but are not limited to temporary blindness, confusion, temporary fatigue, and temporary loss of control over his ability.

That sounds good, though I'll say again that I doubt The Centurion would even consider that sort of tactic given his nature.

Well the same effects would work if there was a thunderstorm as well. Plus maybe he'll get desperate at one point. Nothing changes a person's morals and values like desperation when your close to death
