You will fill out an application for one job. If you mention more than one, we will assume that you are not up for taking the responsibility for one, and that you just want a job.

Once you fill out the application, and the deadline hits, we, the Admins, will begin discussing between ourselves and then consult the rest of the staff. We will review your activity, role-plays, history, etc. to see if you qualify.

We expect you to be 100% honest with us in this process. If you do get a job, we also expect the same percentage of honesty. If you are too busy to keep your job or don't want it anymore, let us know, so that we can place a more able member in your stead.

We do not need to give you a reason for why we didn't pick you for a job. If bickering and whining occurs, it will reflect poorly upon you, and we will remember it the next time a job application goes up. Please do not feel offended in any way if you are not chosen.

The following are the jobs that are the ones you have to choose from to apply for. Please pick one.

Global Moderator: (2 positions open)

• Moderate every forum within FOG
  
• Carry out with moderator duties, such as deleting double posts or rule breaking posts, moving and locking threads, and enforcing the rules
  
• Report and warn members that are breaking rules
  
• Assist the Administrators when needed and provide them with feedback
  
• Greet and welcome newcomers
  
• Answer questions and solve problems and issues

OOC Moderator: (2 positions open)

• Moderate all the OOC forums
  
• Carry out with moderator duties, such as deleting double posts or rule breaking posts, moving and locking threads, and enforcing the rules
  
• Report and warn members that are breaking rules
  
• Produce interesting new topics to keep the community flowing, and post in other threads
  
• Greet and welcome the newcomers

IC Moderator: (2 positions open)

• Moderate all the In Character forums, including the subforums
  
• Delete accidental double posts
  
• Move completed role-plays to the Concluded Role-Plays forum
  
• Report and warn members that are breaking rules
  
• Provide help to those needing role-playing assistance
  
• Greet and welcome the newcomers

We are now accepting applications for anyone interested in joining our staff team here at FOG. Remember, the main thing we were looking for are reliable and trustworthy people who we can count on. Obviously, previous moderating experience is preferred, but certainly not required. Please be honest! Only fill out an application if you feel you have the time to devote to being on our staff.

If too many people apply for the same position, we will allow you to reapply for a different position.

I have decided to change the deadline from Saturday, June 20th to Saturday, June 6th.

The reason I originally set the date so far back, was because I initially did not expect to receive the amount of applications we have gotten so far. There is always plenty room for more though, so if you have not applied and would like to, fill out an application and send it to me within the next 10 days!

I would just like to say that we are very impressed with all of you who have applied so far. This is going to be an extremely difficult decision that we're going to have to make.


In more official news: I have decided to hire 2 Global Moderators rather than just 1. I think that probably also seems more fair, seeing as we are hiring 2 OOC and IC Moderators, and we've already had 4 applications for the Global Mod position.

In the the future, as FOG begins to grow and become more populated, our staff amount will increase, FYI. For now though, we simply just don't need a full staff.

This is an important notice!


Two out of the three applicants that applied for the IC Moderator position may be disqualified because of their lack of activity here at FOG, which is concerning. (The last time one logged in was 15 days ago, and the other was last here a week ago -- both without any notice or forewarning.)

Because of this, I fear these applicants may not be as reliable as we would like our staff members to be. Therefore, we are looking for more In Character Moderator applications to anyone who is truly interested in the job. If we receive no applications before tomorrow for this position, we will keep the position open for an undetermined amount of time until a second place can be filled for IC Mod.
