Nuryah Vespera/Lilura Vespera
Used in:
Name
Nuryah Vespera
Split Personality
Lilura Vespera
Age
Unknown; Appears to be in her early twenties
Gender
Female
Appearance
Standing at five feet and nine inches, Nuryah Vespera is considered willowy. Long, nearly straight golden blond hair hangs to her waist, though she often styles it so two braids pull back just above her ears to meet at the back of her head to keep some of her hair away from her face. The woman’s oval shaped face holds almond shaped, silver-blue eyes, a straight nose, high cheekbones, and somewhat full lips. Her skin is a creamy peach that seems to almost glow with a joyful radiance.
Nuryah is more likely to be seen in lighter colours like white, cream, ivory, pastels, and lighter shades of warm colours. Her favorite metal is yellow gold.
Lilura had the same body and facial structure as well as length, texture, and style of hair, but her colouring is much different. Her hair darkens to become a midnight black while her skin loses its peachy glow. Her eyes also darken to a cloudy blue rather than their usual silver blue.
This side usually wears darker colours like black, dark grey, and darker shades of cooler colours. Her favorite metal is silver.
Both have a few ornaments which they wear to boost their magicks without draining their energies. There is a chain belt with a pendant that served as a buckle at the hip. A circlet is always clasped about their heads, and they both wear upper arm bracelets. They each have a set of their own to wear. Nuryah’s are made of gold while Lilura’s are made of silver, though both sets contain at least one powerful crystal per jewelry item. They also wear a necklace of a crystal pendant hanging from a piece of leather. The crystal swirls with an inky darkness if Lilura wears it, while it swirls with a golden light for Nuryah.
Personality
Nuryah is soft spoken and kind though she is a bit shy, but this does not mean she is weak at all. She is compassionate and tries to put others before herself. She always does what she feels is the right thing to do, never wavering unless she must choose between two things that feel right but follow separate paths. Despite the prejudices between the races, she tries hard not to feel them, and she tries to treat everyone with respect. This personality is a friend of light, and she is most prominent and powerful during the evening before, the night during, and the evening after a full moon.
Lilura is not so soft spoken or so shy. Her voice may sound just like Nuryah’s, but it has a harder, colder edge to it. Her presence is a bit more dominant in others’ eyes than Nuryah’s. She looks out for her own best interests before others. She takes a bit of joy in the small sufferings of others, but this is not to say that she is evil. She will help others even if it won’t directly benefit her, but it’s rare unless there is something in it for herself like the thrill of adventure, escape, or payment of some form. However, Lilura is more likely to actually end a life than Nuryah who would rather incapacitate someone than annihilate them. She views herself as better than almost everyone, showing a prejudice for the other races and even a few of her own fellow warlocks and witches.
The shadows are her closest friends. This personality is most prominent the night before, the evening during, and the two night after a new moon.
Between the full moon and the new moon, it is anyone’s guess as to which personality will appear. The calmer things are the more likely it is that Nuryah will make an appearance, but in tense or angry situations Lilura is most likely to be present. However, there are exceptions. Generally the stronger will to be about at the time is the one who appears- if the body must be around in daylight hours, it is always Nuryah who uses it, for Lillith does not enjoy the sunlight, claiming it hurts her eyes too much- though it really doesn’t harm either one.
Background
A childless couple consisting of a warlock and a witch had camped outside a plot of land that they would make their home in Brenlin at the mouth of a tributary near the Borde Mountains. They heard a child crying not too far away, so they followed their ears until they found the girl. They had no idea who she was or from where she came, but they knew after questioning her that she was all alone, and she couldn’t tell them from where she originated. It was as if she had amnesia, and none of their spells could correct it. They knew only that she was blessing and a great wonder, and they decided to take her into their lives to raise as their daughter. They named her Nuryah Vespera, and they took care of her as well as their own daughter.
It was not long before they discovered something interesting: the girl was nocturnal. No matter how they tried, they could not keep her awake her in the day until the sun began to set, and she was always up and about in the evening. They found that daylight did not harm her which relieved them enormously, but they knew the only way to compensate was to become nocturnal themselves. Of course, this wasn’t always a possibility, but they did what they could.
Another extraordinary discovery occurred within the week when the moon changed its phase. On the nights when the moon was nothing more than a small sliver, Nuryah’s light hair became dark, her skin paled, and her eyes clouded. It was as if a completely different personality took over the child. Instead of being meek and polite, she became dominant and cunning. This wasn’t to say she became a monster, but she was definitely not the same, and she was a bit of a handful. The changed girl did not seem to like the name Nuryah, convinced that she was not the same girl, but she was satisfied when the couple dubbed her Lilura.
The dark haired girl only took over the body when the moon was mostly waned, while the Nuryah was available for the rest of the time, but as the years passed, Lilura seemed to gain strength and to be around exactly half the time of Nuryah. It seemed an internal struggle for control was fought within the growing girl over the one body. Only moon kept things as equal as possible.
When puberty was upon the strange girl, the parents realized their daughter(s) had abilities beyond those of humans ((who were rare enough, but they had no idea what sort of creature their young daughter may be)). Nuryah seemed to be able to call light to her aid while Lilura became able to summon the shadows to do her bidding. The adults felt more comfortable knowing that their daughter had skills that could be honed like those of their own kind. They taught the small amount of light and dark magicks they knew to the personalities, though neither seemed capable of any other magicks other than those affiliated with each personality ((light for Nuryah and darkness for Lilura)).
The strain of caring for such a unique child took its toll on the couple though they never complained. The early lines in their faces and the grey in their hair spoke loudly to Nuryah, and when she became of age, she left them with kind words and all the love she could offer. She knew it was best for them.
She decided to travel and to explore, and when Lilura emerged, she decided she quiet enjoyed this plan despite the discriminations both faced from other races.
Eventually they stumbled upon something. It was more of an idea than something real and tangible, but Lilura was intrigued though Nuryah was wary. Both believed in the idea, and Lilura was the one who discovered the truth of it by traveling to this place: Another world very unlike their own.
There were vast differences, but there were also similarities. There were large cities like many in the other countries of Emoria, but there seemed to be a general lack of true magick from the mortals who lived there. In Emoria, the race of humans was the vast minority, but on Earth, they were the majority. It was unnerving, but Lilura didn’t hesitate to take advantage of this. She pretended they were human, and they became “magicians” to the public. Nuryah completed light shows while Lilura played with the shadows. The humans thought only that they had a great light crew, but the shows were beloved by many, and they raked in the cash on that world. They became the Great Vespera Sisters, but a great many people thought they were the same woman in disguise. Like most magicians, when the woman was asked about her tricks, she would reply- no matter which woman she was at the time- that a great magician never reveals her secrets.
They often travel between the two realms, and it has become easier for them over time, but they live mostly for the adventure of it all. They tend to stay on Earth more often because it’s difficult for them to get away unnoticed because of their fame, and they are concerned that the tensions of Emoria may bode ill for them.
Abilities
Both sides have the ability to levitate, and they both know a small amount about hand-to-hand combat.
Only Lilura knows Darkness Magicks, and only Nuryah knows Light Magicks, but both are highly skilled in her own art, though the full moon strengthens Nuryah’s magick while the new moon weakens it and vice versa for Lilura.
Art from the Korean game Shaiya: Light and Darkness.

Nemera
Used in:
The Brooch of Tel’Kariath - OoC
Name
Nemera
Race
¼ Ocelot, ¾ Human
Age
Unknown; Appears to be anywhere from her late teens to her early twenties; She ages at ¾ the rate of humans
Gender
Female
Appearance
Nemera is of an average height with an athletic figure. This particular femme is one fourth feline and three fourths human with her feline characteristics more closely resembling those of an ocelot. Her skin is naturally lightly tanned with a splash of dark spots around her temples, accentuating her eyes. These spots also line her spine beginning at the hairline along the back of her neck as small, dark spots and gradually growing into black ringed, dark brown filled rosettes the further down her spine they travel. Thick, golden brown hair sprouts from her skull, falling in slight waves to her shoulder blades. Small, discreet highlights of copper may be seen in direct sunlight and noticeable streaks of black shoot through her hair with the occasional splatter of miniature, solid black dots. Protruding from that mass of hair, from the sides of the top of her head, are two rounded ears much like those of an ocelot with fur coloured like her hair. The natural markings along her spine keep going and spread out to cover her long, furry tail. The fur along said tail is the same golden brown of her hair on top, though it gradates to white underneath. Beneath two well-arched brows sit large, round eyes. Though shaped more humanoid than feline, the irises and pupils react more like those of felines; however, like a human, they have whites rather than the iris taking up the entire eye. In direct sunlight they appear to be amber coloured, but as lights dim her eyes become darker, taking on colours from dark brown to ebony. Full lips are a few shades darker than her skin. Her teeth are mostly like those of a human, however her canines are sharper. The femme’s fingers are long and tipped with slightly curved, strong claws. These same style of claws serve as toenails, as well.
Equipment
Two curved bone daggers of small and medium sizes
A bow
A quiver filled with arrows
A belt
Many pouches containing various herbs, seeds, and vials filled with varying herbal extracts and mixtures
A wide, but appealing leather hat to hide her ears
A long, moss green cloak not only for obvious reasons but also to hide her tail
Brown, leather, fingerless gloves
Brown, leather toeless, thong boots
Faded, blue-green tights
Faded, blue-green sleeve-like tights that don’t attach to the shirt
Moss green, top with a white stripe and a knotted embroidered design on the front
Background
Nemera was born as a love child of a human woman and a ½ Ocelot/½ human man. Her father disappeared just before she was born, so she never met the man, but her human mother trained her in the art of herb lore ever since she could talk. She taught her everything from healing arts to poisons. They lived in a dense woodland area a few miles away from the village of Val’hernan where the girl’s mother could buy things she needed while still keeping her strange looking daughter from persecution.
Living in the woods, Nemera learned to hunt, to gather, to climb, to run, and to move silently. Despite her great love for the wilderness, Nemera craved companionship of other humans- for she knew of no other creatures like herself other than her father who had disappeared before her birth. Her mother made her a hat and cloak to hide her tail and her ears, and powder from a plant that had been mixed with a dye to match her skin tone was applied to her face to hide the spots at her temples.
She usually only enters the down when the days are overcast or the sun is fading because these are the times when her eyes are darkest and most human looking, so she faired all right with very little persecution from others.
Only the brave who are in desperate need of Nemera and her mother’s help to heal someone who is ill or injured venture into the woods to try to find their hut. Because her mother is aging, Nemera usually dons her disguise and travels with whoever finds them who does not become lost in the dense woodland to the village to help whoever needs her. She has become even more skilled in herb lore than her mother.
After hearing stories of interesting adventures in taverns and in the markets, she has decided she would also like to be in a party of adventure seekers, but she has yet to develop a goal for such a quest, not to mention others would travel with her- though she has heard a couple rumors about a magickal artifact that would be interesting to find.
Other
Nemera is not only skilled with herb lore, but she is also skilled with her daggers and her bow and arrows. Her sight is as keen as her aim, and she rarely misses a mark. Her body is fit and agile, and she is quick. She is able to quickly scale tall trees, buildings, and posts with the aid of her strength, speed, and claws. She is also quite stealthy when she wishes to be.

Meera Terasvin ((a.k.a. 126279))
Used In:
Operation N.E.K.O. - OoC
Name
Meera Tarasvin A.K.A. 126279
Age
Twenty-Two
Species
Feline: Cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus)
Appearance
Meera stands at a height of five feet and nine inches. Her chest and ribcage are a bit deeper, but the rest of her is lithe with a narrow waist. Her muscled are toned and built for the speed she inherited with her species.
Most of her skin is a sandy tan colour with round spots all over that area, including along the sides of her face. However, stretching from the top of her neck to her pelvis, the area is a pale, white-ish tone. The spots that cover her body aren’t as dark as they would be on a cheetah, but they resemble those of that species.
Meera’s hair is a vivid red that falls mostly straight just past her shoulders, and it has a slightly coarser feel to it than normal hair. She tends to keep a couple braids intermixed with the rest of it. Poking through the hair are two ears that are sandy-tan on the back and white on the inside. The tips are black. Her face is heart-shaped, and within it sit two large, golden eyes that were naturally rimmed in black from birth. Her nose ((despite what the picture shows)) is a bit wider with slightly larger nostrils to allow her to take air into her enlarged lungs easier. Her lips are a bit fuller, though her itself mouth is a bit small.
Her tail which is used as a rudder by which she steers as she runs is almost three feet in length, and it’s covered in the spots that speckle her skin; however the spots merge to form six rings around the end. The very tip of the tail ends in a bushy white tuft. Her hands and feet are very human in shape and size, but they are tipped with semi-retractable claws.

Nizhoni
Used In:
Avatar: Reign of the Black Lotus - OoC
Avatar: Rise of the Black Lotus - OoC
Name
Nizhoni ((pronounced [nee-zhoh-nee]))
Age
Twenty-two
Abilities
Waterbending
Healing
Swordplay with a Katana
Stealth
Place of Birth
The Northern Water Tribe
Season of Birth
Winter
Physical Appearance
Nizhoni has dark brown, almost black, hair that falls in loose waves to the small of her back. She often wears it in the traditional fashions of the Water Tribe women, but she prefers to have at least some of it down because she prefers the appearance. Her brows are only slightly curved into small arches, so they appear to almost be straight. Her eyes are almond shaped, and icy silver-blue in colour and surrounded by thick, dark lashes. This Water Tribe femme’s flesh is naturally tan like many other Water Tribe descendants, and it is even darker now that she has experienced many summer suns in the Earth Kingdom. She stands at a height of five feet and nine inches with a slender, agile figure. Her fingers are long, and her movements are rather graceful.
From late spring to mid-autumn anywhere other than the Water Tribes, she wears a blue top that reveals her belly, lined with fur around the top. At the bottom is a design of triangles in indigo and navy. Pinned to the center of the top is a blue stone set into silver with three black-tipped, white feathers dangling from the bottom of the pendant. Around her upper arms she wears bands that have the same design of triangles as at the bottom of her shirt. Plain, navy blue pants made of a light material cover her legs. Over that she wears a skirt that only extends to just above her knees. There is a slit up each side to allow for movement. The skirt is a lighter blue with the triangle border around the base, ending in white fur. On the right side of her hip, just above the top of the slit is sewn another blue pendant set in silver with one large black tipped, white feather dangling from it.
From mid-autumn to early spring, she wears a similar outfit, but there are long sleeves attached to it, and the pants are of a thicker, warmer fabric. She also wears a blue parka lined at the collar, the hood, the sleeve cuffs, and the base in white fur. Around the waist is a thick, navy blue band of a stripe that also has a triangular pattern in it. The emblem of the Water Tribes is embroidered on the front.
At all times she wears the pendant at her chest. She also wears silver-grey boots that extend to just below her knees. A bracelet surrounds her left wrist of many grey-white, stone rectangles. In her hair, she always wears two long, cylindrical beads that contain two clumps of hair just in front of her ears and beneath the outer layers of hair. She often keeps the rest half-up in a circular bun at the back of her head, though the style may change depending on the day.
Personality {UNDER CONSTRUCTION}
Nizhoni is equally a healer and a warrior. As a healer, she had a compassion for people that leads her to try keep death from occurring at her own hands or at the hands of those for whom she cares. She won’t heal an enemy if she doesn’t have to do it, but she will show mercy if she’s able. She understands that casualties happen, but as long as they aren’t against someone who is defenseless or completely on purpose, everything will be okay.
The waterbender has an intensely strong intuition that aids her more often than not. She tries very hard not to ignore it, as it has never steered her in the wrong direction when she has obeyed it. Sometimes she misinterprets what her intuition may be trying to tell her, but she is steadily becoming better at discerning its meanings.
She has a desire to learn new things, and she often closely studies those who are skilled in areas in which she wishes to become experienced. So far, she has learned healing and waterbending fighting styles from masters. She has also gained skill in fighting with a sword, but she isn’t nearly as proficient with it as she is with the first two. Since becoming a Blue Spirit Warrior, she has learned much about the art of stealth.
Relatives
Yugoda ((canon)) - Grandmother
Chepi ((original))- Mother
Ohanzee ((original)) - Father
Hania ((original)) - Brother
Background
Through an arranged marriage, Ohanzee and Chepi of the Northern Water Tribe joined together. Though both recognized it was a good match for political reasons, neither one felt true love for one another. Ohanzee was close to the Chief and his family, practically an advisor, but more of a friend. Chepi was also from a noble family.
From their union, a boy child was born, and three years later, they had a girl. As a toddler, Nizhoni showed a gift for waterbending. However, because of the customs of the Northern Water Tribe, she was not permitted to learn to fight. She trained with her grandmother, Yugoda, to learn how to heal with her waterbending. Nizhoni mastered this art rather easily, and she became a skilled healer like her grandmother.
Hania, the girl’s elder brother, also had a gift for bending, but as a male he was trained in fighting. Knowing that knowledge of both healing and fighting would be extremely useful, he proposed that they would teach one another in secret how to do what wasn’t taught to them due to genders.
They never were caught breaking the rules because they knew just where they could go to practice. Each became relatively skilled in the other’s art, and learning and teaching together helped them become very close.
When Nizhoni was fifteen, the Avatar and two siblings from the Southern Water Tribe came to visit. Their presences were welcome, but they also stirred much trouble, especially when Aang was caught teaching Katara fighting styles with waterbending. She sympathized greatly with the younger girl’s desire to learn how to fight, and she respected how the Southern peasant was kind toward Yugoda, despite not wishing to learn from the woman.
Then the Fire Nation Navy attacked, and the young woman spent a good deal of time in the field, healing burn wounds, and other sorts of damage caused by those who sought their destruction. At times, she even had to use the fighting styles her brother had taught her to keep herself safe against those wishing to harm her as she healed. Many of the men noticed this, but none spoke against her. However, once the moon went dark, all waterbenders lost their abilities. She could neither heal nor fight. She was just as helpless as everyone else who couldn’t use a weapon. This made her realize she should learn how to fight, not only with bending but with a weapon as well.
After Aang merged with the spirit of the ocean to end the battle, things became somewhat calm again. Those who perished in the war, including Nizhoni’s father, were revered and mourned- especially Princess Yue who had become the moon spirit to save them and to restore balance. Their father’s passing was hard on Hania and Nizhoni at first, but they still had the memories of fifteen years- eighteen for Hania.
Katara had stirred something in the Northern Water Tribe before she left with Aang and Sokka to find the earthbender to teach Aang, and women were finally permitted to learn fighting styles, as men were permitted to learn the healing arts. Nizhoni trained with some of same the men who had seen her fight against the Fire Nation, and she even suggested that waterbenders train in the use of weaponry as well, just in case another lunar eclipse or some other event left them defenseless. Not all benders trained with a weapon, but she did, and she proved to have the most skill with a katana.
Nizhoni was still fifteen when the war ended, and everyone in all the formerly oppressed world celebrated the victory.
At the age of sixteen, she was finally of marrying age though she had never met anyone who struck her fancy. Her mother, Chepi, had been involved in a loveless, arranged marriage with Nizhoni’s father, Ohanzee, though they did get along well enough for their children. This left Chepi against the idea of arranging a marriage for her own offspring. She wanted them to be in love with whomever they were to spend their lives. As a result, neither of her children became engaged for some time, despite pressures to marry them to others.
She decided she wanted to travel the world, but her brother had found a woman he loved and married her. With a group of other Water Tribesmen she traveled to the Southern Water Tribe. In the few months the Northern Tribe had been there, things had already begun to prosper. She stayed there for a while, learning new things and helping the village. She was even able to study under Master Pakku for a time.
Eventually, other Water Tribesmen wanted to explore the Earth Kingdom, so Nizhoni went with them. They were a mixture of Southern and Northern people, peasants and nobility, but they were all treated as equals, for all were adventurers who wanted to travel and to help the villages of the Earth Kingdom as they explored.
Eventually, Nizhoni felt a desire to go to the Fire Nation. Many of her companions still weren’t ready to leave their animosity towards that country behind them, so the Northern Water Tribe native went with only two others. When they decided it was time to leave for home, she went with them, and she reunited with her family. She learned that her grandmother, Yugoda, had passed into the spirit world peacefully during her sleep, and Hania’s wife had birthed a child. Everything was going well.
One year after returning home, Nizhoni was infected with the adventure-bug again, and she returned to the Fire Nation where she caught the eye of Fire Lord Zuko who enlisted her in his secret group called the Blue Spirit Warriors. It was comprised of three different styles of benders and those without the ability to bend.
The ranks grew over the two years she was a part of the group, but it was only a number of fourteen Warriors when Zuko was killed along with Aang, Katara, Sokka, and Toph. The Blue Spirit Warriors disbanded after the next Fire Lord took his place, and it was made public that Zuko had gone crazy and killed his friends who killed him in turn. Only five of the fourteen members believe it was a lie. The rest supported the new Fire Lord.
Those five who remained learned that Ozai had gained a following that called itself the Order of the Black Lotus, and escaped from prison. Azula had also been freed, but she was more like an attack dog than anything else due to her insanity.
The Black Lotus had formed with the intention of placing figureheads to rule each country, thus achieving world domination through politics rather than war. The next step after killing Zuko and Aang was to find the newly born Avatar who would be a Water Tribesmen according to the Avatar cycle. The Blue Spirit Warriors discovered this plot, and they vowed to retrieve the baby before the Black Lotus could. Then they vowed to take action to stop the Order of the Black Lotus.

Inwë Elensar
Used in:
Into the Shadow ((A Middle Earth Role Play)) - OoC
Name
Inwë Elensar
Gender
Female
Race
Silvan Elf of Lórien ((the Galadhrim {the Tree-People}))
Age
Two Thousand, Six Hundred, Thirty-Three
Personality
Inwë is a lover of nature, especially trees. She is also light hearted among her own people. She loves the beauty of her homeland and the beautiful music of her people. Their arts are far superior in her mind to those arts of any other race. Like most of her people, she is not susceptible to change, and she does not like it. However, she is better fit for the changes of the world in her young age than most of the other Elves in the Golden Wood.
This young Elf knows when it is time to be serious, and she has a distaste for those of other races. It is a distrust that has been built in the land of Lothlórien for centuries with only Mithrandir and a small handful of Elf-Friends are trusted. Dwarves are among those who have gained the animosity of the Galadhrim, and they are not permitted within their lands. Inwë feels the same about the Dwarves as her people.
History
Inwë Elensar was born in Lórien to Lólindir Elensar and Celebriän ((not to be mistaken for Celebrían)) as their last child after three sons in the year 375 of the Third Age. This makes her rather young for an Elf. She grew and flourished in Lothlórien, learning many useful skills such as sewing and cooking.
After becoming an adult around the age of fifty, she came to realize she enjoyed learning how to use weaponry. She proved to be most skilled with a long sword and daggers, though she dabbled with bows and arrows. The recurve bow was her favorite, for she has very good eye sight like most of her race.
She grew in skill with both weapons and stealth, and during her one thousandth year, she was made a scout of the Golden Wood to help deter evil from ever entering the land. She enjoyed this duty very much, and she was quite excellent at it. It never bothered her that the wood never changed though the events outside it did. She preferred it this way. There was great peace and prosperity about which many songs were sung, and it was as it should always be.
When the threat of Sauron grew, change seemed imminent. Though the elves often seemed uncaring of this new threat, it lay upon them like a dark cloud. They knew something must be done, so the Lord and the Lady sent travelers to Rivendell to speak with Elrond about anything that may be done to help stop the dark shadow that grew over Middle Earth.
Appearance
Inwë Elensar is a lovely sight though perhaps not so intensely as the Lady Galadriel. Her hair is long and coloured almost like platinum with yellow-gold undertones. Pointed, leaf-shaped ears protrude from the tight, wavy lengths that cascade down her back. Her face is slender and oval in shape with high cheekbones. Her eyes are the colour of a summer sky above the sea, and there always seems to be a twinkle in her gaze. The lashes surrounding her eyes are lighter in colour, but they’re thick. Above them sit natural brows that slightly darker than the hair upon her head, and they maintain a soft arch. Her nose is straight and narrow with a very slight upward tilt at the end. Her lips maintain an average fullness with a slight upward bow at the corners that- combined with the glitter of her eyes- makes her look as if she is amused at some small secret of which only she is aware.
At a height of five feet and ten inches, she stands taller than most who are not of Elven-kind, though she is of average height for her own race. Her skin is very light and fair, almost seeming to have an attractive, dewy glow about it. Her figure is slender with lean muscles that do not detract from the false air of delicacy. This elf is not fragile at all, but she is indeed strong ((though she isn’t as strong as a male would be)) and she has long lasting endurance to go with her agility and light-footedness.
When she is traveling or training, she wears her hair so two French braids along her hairline meet in the back to then form a single, long braid. She usually wears long dresses or robes as is traditional for female elves in silver, white, and blues, but when she travels she wears a silver-blue tunic that reaches to her mid-thigh. A two-toned jerkin of dark grey-blue and a lighter grey-brown dyed leather is worn over the tunic that is slightly longer than the tunic with shorter sleeves that don’t quite reach the elbow. Over this jerkin, a belt is tied about her hips.
Inwë also wears dark grey leather vambraces that extend from her wrists to just below her elbows. Her tight-but-flexible trousers are dark grey-brown in colour as are the slightly darker boots- made of a light leather- into which they are tucked. Her mother hates that her daughter dresses this way, but it is most convenient for the young elf.
Equipment/Gear
- One long, leaf-shaped, double edged sword
- Two double-edged leaf shaped daggers
- An Elven-grey cloak of which is common in Lórien
- A pack that contains food ((lembas being some of that food)), a blanket, and other important things for travel
- A recurve bow made of the silver-grey wood of the mellyrn tree
- A leather quiver filled with fletched arrows
Other Skills/Abilities
Inwë Elensar is very light on her feet, even for an elf. She is also incredibly agile, and she is able to last through long bouts of travel, work, and fighting, for she has an excellent endurance. Though she isn’t as strong as a male, she is incredibly quick which allows her to avoid heavy blows. Her general fighting style is avoid and strike quickly, for she is best with her sword and daggers, but she fights from afar with her bow when it proves the better option.
She served as one of very few female scouts of Lórien, keeping to the trees and drawing outsiders away from their home.

Naomi Rowan-Excelsior
Used in:
Marked By Magick - OoC
Name:
Naomi Rowan
Age
Twenty
Appearance
Naomi Rowan has curly, shoulder length, coppery-red hair. Beneath her straight, coppery red brows sit a pair of autumn brown eyes flecked with gold. Her nose is small and slightly upturned, and her lips are thin but shapely. She stands at a height of five feet and four inches, and her figure has the distinct makings of an hourglass. The young woman’s skin is a creamy peach in colour with a light slash of freckles gracing the bridge of her nose and her shoulders. At the nape of her neck, just beneath her hairline, is a birthmark in the shape of a crescent moon on it’s side with the peaks pointing upward. It is the colour of a wine spill birthmark, but the shape is quite clear. It is the same mark all magickally gifted humans bear at birth.
Race
Human
Class
Sorceress
Personality
Naomi is a kind soul with good intentions, but she is definitely a bit spoiled. She has always had her Guardians to protect her and lavish affection upon her. ((I’ll elaborate more as the game moves forward.))
Weapons
A staff with small agate stones surrounding a cluster of crystal quarts
Magick with a specialty in Illusions; She is improving her gift of touch-sensitive telepathy.
History
Imogene Rowan was the mistress of High Chancellor Thaddeus Excelsior, a sorcerer who would take no wife. Though he was often cold, she loved him, and she tried to be the best lover he could ever want. She also kept his secret that he was a wizard, as he had had a law passed that all sorcerers of any race were to become imprisoned. In return, he treated her well, and gave her gifts.
However, when she became pregnant with his child, things began to change a little. He didn’t outwardly appear to be any different, but Imogene knew it wouldn’t be long before he discovered the mark of magic on their baby. Instead of waiting for him to find it, she showed it to him, trusting him to do the right thing. She already knew his views on magick, but she trusted that he would be moved at heart by the fact that this little girl was their child. It had made no difference that she had been a female heir rather than a male. The fact was that she was a bastard child- one made outside wedlock- so she had to be kept secret regardless. The young mistress of the High Chancellor was infinitely relieved when her lover told her they would tell no one of their daughter’s magical gifts, and they kept the mark hidden with scarves and later with coppery red waves when the Naomi’s hair grew long enough.
Imogene thought all was well until she happened upon her lover and their daughter when she had aged three years. Naomi was seated upon an altar of sorts, and Thaddeus was chanting as he moved around her. Smoke rose from incense, curling and swirling in time with his chanting. Very carefully, the mother retreated from the room, unnoticed. She didn’t want whatever was happening to finish, for the look on her daughter’s face had been one of fear. To intervene, she tapped her knuckles at the door and waited for the High Chancellor to stop what he was doing to answer it.
He looked furious as he ripped open the door, but he forced his expression to change when he saw her standing there. She delivered a phony but plausible excuse that enabled her to take her daughter from the presence of her father. Her love for her child heavily outweighed the love she had for him, so when she received her first chance, she fled with Naomi.
She sought refuge with a Dwarf and with an Elf, both happened to secretly be sorcerers. They helped hide and protect Naomi from the High Chancellor, but they could not protect Imogene so well. The woman was found by Excelsior’s men and taken into custody where she was tortured and killed, but she never revealed the whereabouts of her only child. Naomi was raised by her Guardians who also taught her the ways of magick.
They usually lived in the slums of the city or just outside the city in cottages or small villages. They never stayed in one place for too long for fear of being caught by the High Chancellor. Naomi was never told that he was her father. She was only told about his policies, and she was made to believe that they moved so often too keep from getting caught only because they had magical abilities.
When Naomi turned twenty, it became obvious that the threat was far too great for them to remain in the Tasmurona area. The Elven Guardian, Elrania, suggested they travel to the Elven city of Arvandor to the South. Voili the Dwarf Guardian agreed. They knew they would need someone to aid them, a warrior who would protect their young charge even if they were incapacitated, so they began their search.

Acacia
Used in:
Marked By Magick - OoC
Name
Acacia
Age
Twenty-six
Appearance
Acacia has straight, silky black hair that has been cut to be a little longer than the length of her jaw. She believes it’s easier to manage as an assassin. Her ears are pointed leaf-shapes like her elven mother’s. Beneath dark brows with a distinctive, pointed arch, sit large, vibrant green eyes. In the upper right of her right eye is a starburst of brown that takes over roughly one-eighth of her iris. Her nose is straight but slightly pointed, and her lips are moderately full. The assassin stands at a height of five feet and eight inches with a slim figure that is deceptively agile, athletic, and strong. Her skin is naturally lightly tanned like her father’s.
Race
Half-Elf
Class
Assassin
Personality
Acacia seems cold and determined to onlookers. When she sets her mind to something, it is very rare indeed if she should not accomplish it. She has a very shaky sense of right and wrong, for she was taught from a young age that a person must do what they can to survive. All she cares about is that her job puts food on the table. It also makes her feel alive to be able to do something she is so inherently good at accomplishing. ((I’ll elaborate more as the game moves forward.))

History
Vanwen Ealoeth, an elf maiden, met Hywel Delwyn, a human man, when her family traveled to Tasmurona for a festival. He performed in many of the contests of strength, and she watched every one of them. He had caught her eye, for she appreciated his physical strength and the expressions that passed over his face despite the fact that his was not such a fair one to which elves are usually attracted. There was one such contest in which the prize of several gold pieces was to be given, and she managed to charm her way into being allowed to give it. She had been certain that Hywel would be the one to win, and she was correct. Their hands met as she passed the pouch of clinking gold to him, and at that touch their eyes met, and something passed between them other than his winnings. She had finally caught his eye, and it seemed he appreciated what he saw.
After that moment, they were practically inseparable, and she spent several nights in his bed. By the end of the month long festival, her family returned to their home, but Vanwen stayed behind to marry Hywel. It was a good choice, as their copulation had created a child, and a tiny half-elf was born nine months later. Their parents loved her very much, and they named her Lynne Miressa Delwyn.
As a family, they were not wealthy, but they got by as well as they could. Vanwen sold healing herbs, and Hywel was a small-time carpenter. Though Vanwen had forsaken a life of riches with her own family, she had everything she could ever want: a wonderful husband, a beautiful daughter, a roof- however small- over her head, and at least two meals a day. She had no regrets save one…
The day she revealed the truth of her nature to her husband was a disastrous one. They had never spoken of the politics of Tasmurona, so she could not have known that he would react so badly to the fact that she bore the mark of an elven mage. They had a terrible argument in which he threw accusations of bewitchment at her. By the morning, Vanwen had disappeared without a trace, leaving a broken man and a small child who was only two years of age at the time.
Things began to go downhill from there. The majority of their income had been from Vanwen’s herbs and her remedies. Without her, Hywel could hardly place food on the table for their daughter and himself. In order to support himself and his daughter, he turned to a life of petty theft. He became quite adept at the skill, and soon he was teaching his child the art. She was even better at it than he was, and together they were an indomitable team.
Of course, it wasn’t long before they stole from the wrong person, but he didn’t press charges. Instead, he made a demand that the girl- who was a criminal prodigy- be given to him. He didn’t need her, after all, and they didn’t need him. He had the choice to give them the half-breed or be killed. He chose life, and he never tried to retrieve her.
They gave her a new name, Acacia, to go along with her new life. She was only ten years of age. Hywel had always told her how terrible her mother had been: a dreadful witch who cast black magick, one who left them with nothing once she had had her fill. Lynne Miressa had believed him, but now, as Acacia, she realized they were both treacherous. Her new owner, Master Norrick, did more for her than her own father ever could, and despite the fact that she truly was only his slave, she grew to love him and believe in him despite his terrible deeds. However, she had lost her sense of what was right or wrong from a very early age due to her father, so she never had any issues with what he asked her to do. She always had three meals a day, and he gave her training in fighting and weaponry and stealth. He even gave her academic schooling though this wasn’t nearly as extensive as her physical training.
When she was fifteen, she became an assassin for him, killing whoever Master Norrick wanted gone. As the years passed, she only became better at this. It was her main skill though she accomplished other duties such as kidnapping and the like. At the age of eighteen, she was ordered to begin giving her body to her Master on top of her other duties. Because she was his slave and not a free person, she was not permitted to refuse. However, she grew to loathe him for what she considered to be rape.
When she was twenty-one, she was commanded to assassinate the High Chancellor of Tasmurona. As with any other duty, she knew she had to follow through with it, as she was a mere slave. Acacia stole into his home, silently evading everyone during the night. She managed to sneak into his bedroom where he lay sleeping soundly, unaware of what she was about to do. She rose her dagger above him, but she hesitated to kill him. There was nothing special about him, but a plan began to form in her mind. It could backfire like any other plan, but if she didn’t risk it, she would be stuck as a slave to that pig, Norrick. She knew that the High Chancellor was the only one who could save her. In return, she granted him his life.
Instead of stabbing him in the heart, she tucked her dagger inside her boot and sat upon a chair that faced his bed to await his awakening. It was the right thing to do, for she would have suffered a swift death at his hands if she had tried to wake him in the middle of the night. Instead, he awakened himself at the urging of his bladder. He didn’t notice the dark figure until he returned to his bed. They exchanged tense and sarcastic pleasantries, but she had peaked his interest.
He accepted her proposal. She would become a free woman in return for his life. However, he convinced her to work for him instead. Acacia returned to Norrick, professing a job well done, and the High Chancellor lay low for a while. She found all the information she could and returned to her knew boss. By the end of the month, Norrick and his henchmen were dead along with those who had supplied them with information on Thaddeus Excelsior. All had been destroyed by one half-elf female, and none had escaped to even whisper rumors of her.
As a free woman, Acacia was able to work secretly for High Chancellor Thaddeus Excelsior with pay, and she never had to do anything she didn’t want to do. It was a fantastic arrangement for them both.

Zamira Besnik
((Image of Anita Bitri))
Used In:
Spellsinger’s Tale - OoC
Disappeared... in London - OoC
Name
Zamira Besnik
Age
Twenty-Five
Gender
Female
Race
Half Human, Half Siren
Appearance
Human
Standing at a height of five feet and four inches, is neither particularly short nor particularly tall. To go with her average height, her curves make for a nice hourglass figure. The dark brown hair atop her head extends just past her shoulders in curls. Upon her face sit two large eyes of so dark brown a shade they almost seem to be black, blending with the pupils. Long, dark lashes surround these eyes. A vertical scar cuts through her right eyebrow, ending at the upper portion her cheek, but her cheekbones are high, so this isn’t a terribly long scar. Another, deeper scar cuts diagonally across her left shoulder, over her collar bone, and a final scar cuts vertically through her left bicep. Beneath a very straight nose sit a pair of average-sized but shapely lips. Her skin is very lightly tanned and flawless save for that scar over her eye and a small mole that rests just above the left side of her jaw. In this form, her bones remain slightly hollow, but this serves to make her seem very light on her feet and graceful. Her voice has been described as melodic and beautiful even when she isn’t singing.
Half Human, Half Siren
In this form, she retains her human physique, but her legs from the knees down become like those of a large bird. They maintain the same thickness, but the skin toughens and her feet transform into talons. Her arms sprout feathers that are the same colour as her hair though they‘re tipped with white, her hands disappearing to adjust into the formed wings. Feathers also line her spine from her lower back to the nape of her neck, some even sprouting to intermingle with her hair. She can only speak haltingly in words, but she can make beautiful sounds to try to compensate. She can fly short distances in this form, but she has a hard time carrying anything close to her weight because her bones only a little more hollow in this form than in her human one.
Siren
As a full siren, Zamira loses all of her human shape with the exception of her head which remain the same. Her body rounds, feathers sprouting all over. The feathers along the front of her torso are white and grey while those along her back are deep brown tipped with white. She grows a tail of feathers, and her arms change their shape to be able to flatten against her new body like any normal bird. She loses her ability to speak words in this form, but she can still form beautiful melodies to compensate. In this form, she can carry anything her weight or lighter with her on short flights. By herself, she can fly further distances than in her half-form.
Personality
Zamira is generally a good person, and she does have a great deal of respect for those who have earned it. However, she doesn’t see anything wrong with using her abilities- or lying- to get what she wants. She loves being a siren, and she figures that she would have been born a mute if she wasn’t meant to use the gifts her mother genetically passed to her. She learned from a very young age how to use her voice just to get people to hang on her every word even if she wasn’t really making them do anything else.
On the outside, she exhibits a confident air that draws people to her- visible even in the way she carries herself. Zamira well and truly loves the attention she gets just by speaking, and she loves even more how her singing voice affects those around her. It helps that she doesn’t simply spout jibberish when speaks. Despite her vanity with her appearance- aside from her scars- and especially with her voice, she is an intelligent, strong woman who is often envied even by those people that find it difficult not to enjoy her company.
As far as others go, she is usually kind and polite with them. However, if given a reason, she will refuse to show them any ounce of respect. Her fury is also something that is best left unaroused despite a terrible incident eight years ago being the last time she ever sought a violent revenge against anyone who wronged her. Zamira is crafty enough that she has found other ways around violent ends for those who get on her bad side.
Despite her abundant confidence, she has a secret fear that someone will discover what she really is, and her life with crumble around her. The only other people who know what she is are her father, Gjysh Xus, and the Knights.
Powers
o Transformation - changing her shape from a human to a siren or something in the middle. This was far more painful as a child, but she’s grown used to the pain, so now it’s simply an inconvenience.
o Ventriloquism - making it seem as if her voice is coming from another object or area than herself without visible movement of her lips.
o Vocal Emotional Evocation - evoking and amplifying existing emotions in others through the power of her voice.
o Vocal Enthrall - through the power of her voice, causing someone to want to help her so long as it’s not against her nature.
o Vocal Manipulation - making her voice sound like something or someone other than herself
o Vocal Persuasion - persuading up to ten people to desire to come to her despite any geographical or physical obstacles that may be between them and herself.
Weaknesses
o Her ventriloquism is such that she can only throw her voice in one direction at a time and only up to a certain distance.
o She has a more difficult time using her abilities accurately if she isn’t calm and collected.
o She isn’t a fighter in the physical sense. She never learned any techniques other than the proper way to punch.
o The siren can only carry loads that are the same weight or lighter than herself when she’s flying.
o Weak minded or less intelligent people are far more susceptible to her voice than those with great intelligence or strong wills. Humans tend to be more susceptible than many supernatural creatures, even if they have great intelligence or strong wills.
o Zamira’s bones remain a bit hollow even in her human form, so they break under less force than a natural human’s bones would.
Biography
When Greek Partheia met American-Albanian Liridon Besnik, it was love at first sight. Luckily, she had no trouble wooing him. As soon as he heard her voice he was hers. They had been married for two years when Partheia gave birth to a daughter, Zamira Besnik.
Until that point, Partheia had never had to tell her husband about her deepest secret. However, when it became all too apparent that their young daughter had inherited her mother’s secret- as she knew she would- it was time to tell Liridon why their daughter was shape shifting into a partial bird.
Partheia did not use her abilities of vocal persuasion to change her husband’s thoughts and feelings, but her voice was still beautiful and melodic. He claimed he always knew that she was special, that he still loved her and their daughter. However, he asked that she continue to remain in human form and teach their daughter to do the same. She agreed, and Partheia had seven years to teach her daughter the art of being a siren and how to hide what she was in human society.
When Zamira was seven, her mother was murdered, but her killer was never found. The little girl and her father were devastated, but they continued with their lives.
Liridon managed to become promoted in his job on more than one occasion, knowing he had to provide a good life for his daughter. At the age of thirteen, Zamira moved to London, England with her father to enable him to continue with his better job. Meanwhile, his daughter went to school, adjusting rather well to her new surroundings though she still missed her mother. Liridon never remarried.
Throughout her life, she aspired to become a famous singer, and as she matured into her mid-teen years, she began going to karaoke bars to sing. She always noticed how she seemed to steal the show, and she preferred it this way. The siren purposely used her gift to make sure all eyes were on her, for she had always been a confident girl.
However, she hadn’t realized that all of that attention may not be good. One evening, as she was leaving a bar after singing, she was stopped by three men who forced her into an alley. Their intentions were terrible, and when she fought against their attempts, they brought switchblades from their pockets to try to force her into submission. In her panic, she couldn’t really focus well enough to persuade them to leave her be with her words. Occasionally she would get them to hesitate, but her words weren’t powerful enough to save her in her terrified state.
It was only her luck than an old man happened upon the scene. Of course, the three men only laughed when he told them to stop, but the air became charged with energy that seemed to emanate from the elderly one, and sparks erupted from the blades, burning their hands so they were forced to drop their weapons, and their clothing ignited in flame. They ran away, terrified at the turn of events.
When she spoke to thank him, the old man became interested in the girl as much as she was interested in him, and he took her under his wing, so to speak. She learned he was a wizard named Abraxus- whom she dubbed Gjysh Xus ((Grandpa Xus)). He taught her more about her race that her mother had not had time to teach her, and he helped her build her talents as a siren.
Two years later, after the switchblade wounds had healed into scars, Zamira sought the men who had caused them with Abraxus, so he could magically amplify her abilities. She no longer feared them, having learned that her fear and panic had been the cause of her limited power. The teen was eighteen, but she felt that her knowledge and her wizard companion empowered her beyond what those cowards who had tried to steal her innocence had. When they saw her, they mocked her and neared her, recognizing her. However, they seemed to look over their shoulders to make sure a strange old man wasn’t around. He was, of course, hiding from their sight. This time, she lured them into a darkened alley, and it was only then that she began to sing.
Her words held a great deal of power in her calm and with Abraxus’ magical touch. She suggested they harm one another, and their simple, fearful minds found her suggestion almost impossible to resist. Only one among the three was able to realize there was something wrong with his desire to harm his comrades, but she told the other two to set upon him first. It helped greatly that they were the sorts to kill anyway. After all, they would have killed her had Abraxus not stopped them two years earlier. They killed their friend before beginning to battle against one another, but they were interrupted.
Abraxus simply teleported away from the area when Zamira urged him to go, that she would be okay, and she faced the group who called themselves the Knights alone. Zamira didn’t feel guilty about her major role in causing those men to end the life of their friend or almost doing the same to them, but she really didn’t want to go to jail for it. She tried to use her voice to get her out of it, but without Gjysh Xus to make her voice more powerful, her attempts only served to momentarily cause them to hesitate. She was arrested and a file was made concerning her. They mentioned something about magick being used to her aid, but they didn’t really try to get a name from her. Though she thought that was strange, she was relieved. The young woman would never sell her friend to these people.
A deal was made because this was her very first offense, and she had convinced them her tears of sorrow and regret were true, and that she was only trying to do good. She hadn’t really meant to make them kill their friend, after all. She’d only wanted to scare them. She didn’t feel guilty about her lies to them concerning that either.
However, she kept to the deal. Prison wasn’t something the aspiring professional singer wanted for herself, so she was good. Her visits to Gjysh Xus became less and less as her life became busier and busier.
Though singing was her first choice, her father urged her to get into a “realistic” career first, so she went to college like anyone else, majoring in graphic design with a minor in music. Even as she acquired a fairly decent job in her field, she occasionally searched for ways to achieve her ultimate dream. As it was, she was reduced to singing in karaoke bars on the occasion that she went with a friend or two.

Zamira Besnik
Siren Hybrid
Besnik was approached by the Knights in 1999 after being caught manipulating humans to harm one another. At first, she resisted, attempting to enthrall and manipulate our people. This resulted in her arrest, but she came quietly after a fashion, and she agreed to abide by the laws of supernaturals.
After this transgression, there have been no further reported misdeeds by the subject.

Sailahína Carnil
Used in:
Emoria
- Prologue: The Council of Nolwë Osto
Character Name
Sailahína Carnil
The í in “hína” ((i with an accent mark)) is formed by holding Alt and typing 0237.
Nickname
Saila
Species/Race
Half Breale Perequendë
Elves are known as the Quendi ((or the singular Quendë)).
Physical Description - Subject to Change Upon Portrait Completion
Sailahina Carnil stands at an average height of five feet and five inches despite her Quendi heritage. Her softly waving hair is platinum blond and extends to the base of her back. She often keeps it free-flowing, but will occasionally braid it if she feels it needs to be kept from her face. Leaf-shaped ears are her most prominent Quendi feature.
Her eyes are an average blue in colour and topped with dark blond brows with a decent, pointed arch. High cheek bones accentuate a slightly heart-shaped face with a very slightly upturned nose that extends down the center of her face. Beneath this is a pair of lips of average fullness.
Overall, she looks remarkably like her Quendi father in both her fair colouring and in the bone structure of her face. However, she has the physical build and the lips of her Sretin mother. While she is thin and fit, she hosts an almost pear-shaped figure with an average bust and a slightly larger bottom half.
A tiny but dark freckle dots just above the left side of her upper lip beside the point, and a small, hardly-raised mole graces her face almost beneath her left cheekbone. At the base of Saila’s throat on the right is another mole. A horizontal scar cuts across the back of her left hand, and a vertical scar slashes along her outer right thigh, both caused by training accidents with fighting fans.
Saila’s favorite colours to wear are blue and silver, for they compliment her colouring very nicely. She is rarely seen without a book or a scroll in hand, and she never leaves home without her fighting fine strapped at her hip as a precaution. She also keeps a dagger stashed in her boot.
Though she is forty-three years of age, the average lifespan of her general breed ((half Quendë, half human)) is one thousand years ((as opposed to the average twenty five hundred years for a full Quendë)), so she only appears to be in her mid twenties.

Biography
Sailahína Carnil was born from the Quendë Envinyatar Carnil of Forya in Taurë Arda and the human Ailith of Aom in the Sretin Providences. The unlikely pair met at one Yávië Meren ((Harvest Festival)) that is held in the Sretin Providences to celebrate bountiful harvests and the wonders of nature.
Envinyatar noticed Ailith of Aom before she ever saw him, and he was immediately interested. Her skin was not as dark as those who are usually from that area though she had the usual characteristics of dark hair and dark eyes. Her stature was also much shorter than his own. He found her humanly beauty to be quite enthralling but not nearly so much as her voice. It may not have had the same melodic flow as the voices of his own people, but it had its own appeal just as she did.
He sought her company, but was initially denied. Ailith was shy of his elven beauty, and was not sure how someone like him could be interested in herself, so she avoided him. Envinyatar was persistent, and he eventually won her to his side. By the end of the Festival, the Quendë man stayed behind to see more of Ailith.
It soon became apparent that she was not quite like her people. She didn’t enjoy the harsh, open air of Aom, and she wandered to the forest edge as often as she could. After a year had passed, Envinyatar and Ailith were wed before their families, and he took her to live with him in Forya.
Sadly, Ailith was even less happy among the closeness of the trees. As a compromise, they moved to the city/state of Nolwë Osto where there would be both open air and plenty of trees. Two years after their marriage, Ailith gave birth to a girl-child who they named Sailahína ((wise child)) in honor of the City of Knowledge in which they lived.
They lived happily for a long while, but time passes more slowly for Quendi than for humans, and Ailith began to age more rapidly than her husband. Though she had been eighteen when Saila had been born, by the time the young girl reached Quendi adult-hood, her mother was already past her prime.
Envinyatar, with his healing magicks, helped to keep Ailith from aging too rapidly, and the human woman took very good care of her health.
Due to the difficulties of watching her mother age in such a way, Saila moved into her own home when she turned thirty ((the age of adult-hood for Quendi)). It was widely known that half-Quendi only live about half as long as full-Quendi, but that it still far longer than a human life span, and it is difficult to watch a parent grow near death with every passing year.
At the point in which she had moved, Sailahína was already an archivist and a scribe for the Great Library of Nolwë, and she had learned several languages of the world. She has lived up to her name in every way she can.
Of course, she would often immerse herself so heavily in her work that she would abandon her social life and her family for long periods of time.
Only when her employers would urge her to go home to her family would she leave her beloved work - for she truly does love it - to see her aging mother and her still-young father. Knowing that it makes them happy to see her makes her remember that it’s important to see them more, but that doesn’t stop her from working all she can.
One day, about one week ago, Saila discovered a secret panel in one of the library book cases in a small section that contained information on the Planes of Existence. It contained yellowed scrolls that described the portals and the Material Plane’s portal’s location beneath the library. However, it did not detail how to access the way to the Portal, so she has not been able to discern whether this scroll was written factually. Despite this, she has found that she truly believes it to be truth, and she has been trying to discover a way to prove it without others knowing.

World-Space
Taurë Arda
The land of Taurë Arda where the Quendi live is generally hilly with forests in every direction a few miles outside of the city. The exception is the North where the elevation slowly gains as it progresses into the mountain range of Senda Oroni at the edge of the country. In the forests, other clans of Quendi choose to live peacefully with one another. The western territory is Hyarya, the eastern is Forya, the Northern is Inga, and the Southern is Undu. The forests are divided by four roads that come from the Northeast, Northwest, Southeast, and the Southwest portions of the country. All of those roads lead directly to the city/state of Nolwë Osto for those who wish to travel there. This is both for the benefit of the Quendi who are not particularly fond of outsiders in their territories and for the safety of foreign travelers.

Nolwë Osto - The Central City/State
In almost the exact center of Taurë Arda, there is a large city called Nolwë Osto that revolves around the pursuit of knowledge. Standing in the center of that city is the Great Library of Nolwë which has gathered works and information from all over Emoria to be displayed in one massive building. This city/state began as a project of the Quendi from all over the country, and as it grew and more knowledge was obtained, other races and species from all over the world also became interested in the project, so they all helped to contribute.
Eventually, a large, elaborate, and elegant building was constructed at the center of the city to house information from all over the world and even some information regarding the other seven Planes of existence. Of course, many from the current Material Plane feel that the other Planes do not truly exist as few have traveled between them.
The location of the ancient library was strategically placed, for The Portal of the Material Plane is located in a secret chamber ten stories beneath the library, far into the earth. There is a secret entrance within the library to a stair that leads underground, but finding the chamber that houses the Portal is difficult. The way is a bit of a maze, and there are many secret ways that must be taken to reach it. Only those who rule the city, those who own the library, and those who guard the Portal are aware of its existence. Not even those who work in the library or live within the city/state know of it.
The geography of Nolwë Osto is rather lovely. A river that runs all the way from the Oroni Sendë mountain range at the very North of Taurë Arda cuts through the Northeastern side of the city. This Northern river is called Sirë Poica for the cleanness of its waters.
Another one that begins horizontally, moving from west to east, flows at the Southern end just outside the city but eventually curves to travel South. This river is called Sirë Úra for its very large width and depth. Sirë Poica eventually joins Sirë Úra to become one river. There are other small streams and creeks that travel through the rest of the country.
A lake is located at the west of the city/state that provides much of the water for crops in that direction.
Outside of the city/state on all sides are small fields where vegetables and Orë ((a special Quendi grain that is similar to wheat)) are cultivated, but they are nowhere near as expansive as the country to the east ((the Sretin Providences)) from where the Quendi import other nutritional goods.

Religion/Deities
Nolwë Osto hosts a vast cultural diversity due to people from all over the world choosing to live here, so citizens often worship the deities of their own cultures. These other cultures and other deities are all respected, so no one has need to feel that they must assimilate to another culture or religion.
However, the official deities of the city and of the Great Library are Gods and Goddesses of Knowledge - namely, the Goddess Nólehirë and the God Istahirno.
Throughout the rest of the country, the Quendi themselves tend to revere the God Vemenel and the Goddess Olvandilë who are believed to have created the trees and all things. Trees are revered by the Quendi as lesser deities and are believed to be semi-sentient beings who house great wisdom.
Governing Body
The citizens elect a council of ten to rule the city/state of Nolwë Osto.
All of the other four territories of the Quendi country of Taurë Arda are governed by their own monarchs, lords and ladies, or councils. It just depends to which of the four forests one travels.

Lillith Grey
Used In:
And By Night, They Walked: The Struggle of Humanity - OoC
Basic Information
Name: Lillith Grey
Age: Unknown, appears to be in her mid 20’s
Gender: Female
Home Land: Europe
Race: Born Lycan ((full; pure breed))
Physical Appearance
Human Form
Standing at a height of five feet and nine inches with beautiful, chocolate coloured tresses that cascade down her back, Lillith is a lovely sight. Eyebrows of the same colour with a high arch sit above olive tinted eyes which are surrounded by thick lashes. Above the peak of her right eyebrow is a small mole. A straight nose sits comfortably above lush, full lips behind which are two rows of perfectly straight, white teeth. On both the top and bottom row of teeth, her canines are slightly pointed. Her cheekbones are high, and her jaw is somewhat strong, lending an appeal that is balanced between the masculine and the feminine.
A long, graceful neck rests upon broad but lovely shoulders and a sweeping collarbone. Long fingers with slightly long nails – which are almost as strong as when in her were and wolf forms – decorate her slender hands. Her wrists and ankles are slim, leading to long hands and feet. Lillith’s nearly flawless skin is the colour of baked apples. The only true blemishes are four horizontal scar along her lower back and four more vertical scars along the back of her shoulder. Her figure is slender, fit, and agile though she does have obvious curves where it counts. She smells of nature from living in the wilderness.
Were Form
Lillith’s were form is a bit like the stereotypical werewolf appearance. It is the largest of her forms. Her muscle mass highly increases, and chocolate coloured fur sprouts all over her body. Her hands and feet become larger though they are still shaped like a human’s. Her nails lengthen and curve into claws, and they become stronger and sharper on both her fingers and on her toes. Her entire head and her neck transform into those of a wolf. She also sprouts a tail. Meanwhile, the rest of her body remains human shaped, only larger.
In this form Lillith can communicate with halting, hindered speech and with barking, growling, and body language.
Wolf Form
Her animal form resembles that of an oversized wolf. In fact, this form is larger than her human form though smaller than her were form. Thick chocolate colored fur sprouts over her entire body. Sharp, long nails lengthen and thicken from her fingers and toes as her hands and feet become large, powerful paws. Sharp, white canines gleam and could tear through bone if she wished it. Her eyes remain the same olive color when she transforms. The fur doesn’t grow where the four scars are, but it is long enough that it covers them anyway. Her general head and bodily shapes are like those of Iberian wolves, but she is larger.
In this form Lillith cannot speak as humans do. She can only communicate as a wolf would.
Personality
Lillith is bursting with confidence. With a passion for knowledge, she builds her intelligence in whatever way she can on any subject around which she is able to wrap her mind. Though she will not hesitate to speak her mind, she is more of a listener, knowing listening is the key to learning. She also realizes that mere acceptance of what subsists is not always key. For nearly everything she learns, there is a question lurking in her mind, wondering why. Lillith tends to be blunt, which is part of her being outspoken and occasionally gets her into trouble. Other than being outspoken, she is a good person who tries not to step out of line too often.
In all forms she is fiercely protective of those for whom she cares. Though she has not been a part of a Lycan pack for some time, she would still feel the same over those of her old pack upon meeting them again. Currently, she shares those feelings over a pack of wolves into which she has been accepted.
Over the past decade, Lillith has been working hard to master all three of her forms, and while her were form is her least liked, she has mastered it.
When she is in her wolf form she wants freedom. She runs on the instincts of a wolf, hunting prey and sticking to the laws of a pack. In fact, she often prefers to be in this form.
In the time she has lived only in the wild, Lillith has become more spiritual and in-tune with nature.
Lycan Status
Details: As a pure bred and as a knowledgeable Lycan femme, Lillith has earned the respect of others, despite her occasionally difficult nature. She shows respect where she believes it’s rightfully due.
Abilities: Lillith has had her entire life - and strict training from her parents at a young age - to learn how to change at will and does so successfully. With their strong training with her, she became able to control herself very well in her wolf form though her instincts - which are those of a wolf - are followed more closely than her human civility. The only times she’s known to lose her strict control are when she feels threatened, she becomes severely angry, and during the full moon, but this is only a slight loss and nothing major. Other abilities due to her species include ((all of which are enhanced in were form)): enhanced senses of smell and hearing, grace, increased endurance, increased speed, keener eyesight, speedy healing, a strong immune system, and superhuman strength. Abilities she learned include martial arts and training with staffs, guns, and throwing knives. Lillith is extremely flexible and agile.
Weaknesses: Arterial damage, brain trauma, the full moon ((though Lillith considers this to be more of a gift than a curse)) heart trauma, the memory of her former pack, silver, and spinal trauma.
Brief History
Lillith Grey was born to the pure breed Lycans Ulric and Daciana Grey. She was raised within a somewhat ruthless, strangely nomadic pack of Lycans in Europe in which Ulric and Daciana were the Alpha Male and Alpha Female. Knowing she had fantastic potential to one day become an Alpha Female herself, Lillith’s parents trained her unrelentingly hard from a young age to build up her skills and to fulfill her potential destiny to the best she could. When she hit the breeding age, Ulric was challenged for the position of Alpha and suffered through a bloody battle which ended the life of the challenger and left the Alpha male physically crippled in his right arm and left leg. Because of this, he elected the Beta Male, Hadyn, as his successor. Everyone agreed it was best, though they were upset at having to give up Ulric.
Meanwhile, Daciana continued the physical training her daughter while Ulric continued the mental training. They were harder on her than ever.
Three years after Ulric’s crippling battle, Hadyn attempted to make Lillith his Alpha Female which she refused. Daciana and Ulric agreed it would be a good match for the girl, one to make them proud, but she would not budge in her choice. Despite - or possibly because of - all the persistent, difficult training she had had to accomplish for the last fourteen years, the sixteen year old had developed an aversion to becoming a pack leader. In an attempt to force those duties on her, Hadyn raped her in a successful attempt to make her pregnant though he didn’t go through it without a few scars marring his flesh. Upon learning her parents had grudgingly approved of this method, she fled from her pack and from her family.
A young Lycan on her own really seemed to be easy prey to predators, whether they were an enemy species or another lone wolf, and she got herself into many scraps. One such fight with an outcast female Lycan during a full moon resulted in the miscarriage of her pup, the deep scars along her back and shoulder, and her near death. Had she not had the training her parents had forced on her, she never would have survived.
Lillith knew it would be beneficial for her to find a new pack, but so long as she remained in Europe she would never be accepted. Her pack was too well known by the others and accepting an outcast, especially one from her former pack, wasn’t on their agendas. This led her to cross the ocean in search of a pack in the Americas.
It didn’t take long to find a generous group who would accept her. She learned of a war between Vampires and Lycans that hadn’t existed quite so openly in her homeland and was immediately put to training on how to use the were form she had never needed. Lillith was told that if she could master this form, she could become a capable pack Alpha, but she politely refused, making it known she only wished to serve, not to lead. After a small degree of control had been obtained with her were form, she was sent to be a part of Lucian’s pack so he could give her further training.
At some point, the war between lycans and vampires seemed to settle down, and while the two races were never really happy with one another, continuing to hold old grudges, they lived in relative peace. Because of this, the war packs were disbanded, and everyone went their own ways.
Lillith decided to retreat into the wild in the Northern United States where she could live in peace. At first, she was alone, but eventually, after helping a pack of true wolves in need, they accepted her into their pack. She remained an outcast within the pack for a while, but she gradually became closer with them when it was realized that she would not try to gain power within it.
Other Important Information: Lillith still has great potential to be an Alpha, but she has no desire for it. Also, she still continues to train herself though not nearly as stiflingly hard as her parents had done to her. She can change at will though the process of bones stretching rearranging and muscle mass increasing to become a wolf, and the opposite process of returning to human form is painful. However, she accepts this because she highly enjoys her wolf form and the freedom to follow her instincts. Much training in pain resistance had been necessary to get her to that level.

Ramya Moshe
Used in:
Bram: Hunt for the Irinen - OoC
Name
Ramya Moshe
Age
Twenty-two
Gender
Female
Appearance
Ramya is not overly tall which is perhaps in her favor. At most, she could be about five feet and four inches. She has a well proportioned body and an hourglass figure which she accentuates in a female twist men’s clothing that she had specially commissioned. Her skin has olive undertones, and it’s lightly tanned from the sun. A few scars mark her flesh from the hard life she’s chosen for herself.
The woman’s chocolate hair is thick and straight and extends nearly to her derriere. She rarely wears it in any way other than loose about her shoulders or in a single braid down her back. Her full brows are the same colour and arch gracefully over eyes so dark they could be black.
Her nose is is small and straight though slightly turned up at the tip. It leads to a pair of full lips that seem slightly turned up at the edges even when she isn’t smiling. Her teeth are clean and straight, and her smile is almost dazzling when she flashes it.
Familiar
Triton, a yellow-eyed, black cat with “thumbs” on each paw
Weapon(s)
A flint-lock pistol holstered at her left thigh
A schimitar at her right hip
One double-edged dagger in either boot
Ability
Shadow Manipulation
Just like regular shadows, these shadows cannot harm anyone directly. However, they have their uses. They can be used to block the light, hide a person or a ship, or even to make someone think another is near either as a silhouette or as a movement at the corner of one’s eye.
Deity
Erint, God of Travel
Occupation
Carpenter and Surgeon
Current Ship
Fasar's Hoard, a Pirate Ship
Personality
The first word people think when they think of Ramya Moshe is “feisty.” She seems to have copious amounts of energy, and she loves to crack jokes – especially at another’s expense. At times, she can even be crude and lewd like any number of the men aboard the ship. This woman is full of energy, and she has many moments where she can be quite aggressive.
Ramya can hold her own against any man whether it be mentally, physically, or hormonally. She’s not shy, and she didn’t have many women in her life to teach her how to be a “proper lady,” not that she did anything other than scoff at the very idea when she’s chastised for impropriety.
Ramya can hold her own against any man whether it be mentally, physically, or hormonally. She’s not shy, and she didn’t have many women in her life to teach her how to be a “proper lady,” not that she did anything other than scoff at the very idea when she’s chastised for impropriety.
Her anger can be fiery, but it’s often a way for her to hide any pain she may feel. It’s much easier for her to be angry than to be sad. She dislikes the idea of showing weakness, especially in public. Weaknesses are what get people killed as far as she’s concerned. Despite this, she can be quite tender and gentle when it comes to her skill with surgeries though she isn’t against telling a man to stop whining if she feels he’s over-doing it.
Background
Ramya Moshe killed her mother, or at least that’s how her grandfather on her mother’s side always felt it was. The truth was that her mother simply died due to complications during child birth. It was no one’s fault but fate’s. Her father, Vered, raised her.
In her younger years, Vered worked for the former King as treasurer. However, his young wife had no head for money, only for luxery. When Vered tried to advise the old King about potential money problems, he was shut-down and quickly replaced.
Luckily, Vered had always planned ahead of the game. He had saved much of his earnings, and he was able to afford caring for his small family. This was good because there was no way they would get help from Vered’s parents who had passed into the spirit realm or from Ramya’s mother’s parents who loathed the very sight of them both.
Though Vered had saved well, he knew that what he’d kept wouldn’t last the rest of their lives, so he took a job aboard a ship, bringing his daughter along with him. She was the only girl aboard the merchant ship, but that never deterred her. She grew up fast, and she grew up strong, learning how to fight, how to be a businesswoman, and how to do anything and everything aboard a ship from maintenance to surgery.
Ramya also learned something no one could have taught her in a million years: shadow craft. The young girl had always loved shadows, and she would often hide within them, playing opossum when she didn’t want to be found. Shadowy corners were her sanctuaries.
Eventually, she came to realize that it wasn’t a coincidence that no one ever seemed to find her when she would hide, and she realized that the shadows would do her bidding. It took a long time and a lot of effort, but she learned new tricks with them over the years, and she’s been working at strengthening her abilities ever since.
Sadly, when she tried to tell her father, he became very still and he commanded her to never tell another person about what she could do. It placed a strain on their relationship, and though they had been so close for so long, they began to grow apart.
When she was seventeen, she left the crew of the merchant ship where she’d lived and worked for almost ten years, and she tried to find her own way. Most of the time, this lead to her getting into trouble, but she could be very tricky with her wiles and with her shadows.
When she was nineteen, a black cat crossed her path, but there was no ill luck to be had with this one. She gave him a bit of fish, and he’s followed her ever since. Having grown up on a ship, she believed that cats were good luck, and they were useful. This particular cat had the added luck of being black and having an extra toe on each paw that resembled a small thumb. This aided him in catching the vermin he liked to each, and it only endeared Ramya to him more. She named him Titan, for she traveled the seas often, and he always came with her.
One day, when she was at the middle of her twentieth year, she tried to steal from the wrong people. In the beginning they were angry, but one man knew they could use her skills – and her knowledge once she told them what other things she could do – and she was welcomed aboard their ship as a part of the crew.

This particular witch can be very direct and fiery in her nature. Her sense of certainty often leads her to take charge of situations with others often falling in line. Fairuza is charismatic, but if something is boring her, she won’t continue to do it unless it has to do with her school work. Instead, she’ll move onto the next thing of interest.
As someone who is very competitive, she hates to be wrong or less than the best. This leads to her occasionally hurting people she loves with her heated words. However, when she’s calmer, she’s quick to apologize. She’s also quick to forgive those who wrongs her, and she’s quick to forget about it rather than to let it drag her down.
Because Fairuza wants to do great things for her personal betterment, she sometimes takes unnecessary risks, or she will occasionally move forward without proper planning. However, she learns best through experience, and she tends to learn things the hard way.
Biography
Fairuza has lived the average life of any witch or wizard. Her parents, a wizard named Rahim and a witch named Batnoam, loved her very much, and they were both ecstatic when she showed her first sign of magic: making the windows of their home shatter at the stomp of her foot during a temper tantrum. They raised her as well as they could, but they understood that she needed to find her own way and make her own mistakes at time.
When she was eleven years of age, she received a letter of invitation for her to attend the Turtlepox Institution of Applied Mysticism in Brazil – the nearest wizarding school to them. For five years she attended this school and excelled in her studies. She was a quick learner, and she took her school work very seriously.
Fairuza also became competitive. She joined her house’s Quidditch team as a Chaser. Her parents who were rather wealthy bought her one of the fastest brooms with the best maneuverability available, the Firebolt 2000.
At the beginning of her fourth year, she heard they were building a school in the country where she and her family lived. This excited her greatly, for she loved the idea of being nearer to her family. Fairuza was also looking forward to a new environment, for it seemed like a fun, new adventure awaited her.

Psyche Vida
Used in:
Elemental Entities: Finding the Fifth - OoC
Name
Psyche Vida
Age
Presumably Twenty-Three
Sex
Female
Element
Spirit
Appearance
Psyche is of average height, standing at about five feet and seven inches. Her figure is fit, and her curves are average sized - noticeable but not overly so. It's difficult to discern what her natural hair colour once was because she dyes it something new all the time. Strangely, the soft waves never seem to become damaged or fried from the constant abuse. Instead, they always appear healthy no matter what colour it is - whether it's a rainbow colour or a natural one. At the moment, her hair is a deep, rich violet colour with side-swept bangs that extends to her shoulder blades.
Her eyes are mismatched naturally with one being blue with violet flecks and the other green with golden flecks. Unfortunately, the flecks of colour are difficult to discern unless one is paying close attention. Her lashes are long though not overly thick, but she remedies this with mascara.
High cheekbones are set on either side of a straight nose which is slightly turned up at the end. This leads to a pair of full, pink lips which she frequently paints for whatever effect she wants. Her flesh is relatively fair, but the olive undertones make it appear a bit more tanned.
Psyche doesn't limit herself to one style or one genre of fashion. Instead, she simply wears whatever she thinks is cute and flattering whether it be punky, gothy, preppy, tomboy-ish, bohemian, or anything else. She loves to change things up all the time.
Personality
Psyche loves fun. She loves change, excitement, and spontaneity. She becomes bored too easily if things remain the same in her life, so she typically tries to find a multitude of ways to change her routines whenever the mood strikes her.
However, she's also down to earth and kind. She would never allow changes in her life to negatively affect the lives of others. She wants people to be happy, and she can feel when they aren't. At times, her abilities can be overwhelming to her, but she's gained some control over them through the years. She just has to be careful about how crowded areas are when she enters them, or she could be flooded with the thoughts and feelings of not only the living but also of the dead.
Despite this, she loves to meet new people and to experience new places. She's very open minded about things - especially considering that most would consider her crazy if they knew she could speak to the dead and feel however the living felt. Of course, there has to be some sort of reasonable explanation or experience for her to believe something. She isn't just going to believe everything everyone tells her unless their emotions give away the truth of the matter.
Background
Psyche Vida was found abandoned, cold, and hungry walking along a road when she was very young. The little girl was dressed in strange clothing when a young couple found her and took her home with them. It wasn't long before she won their hearts despite their worries about her. Though they looked and looked, no one ever seemed to be able to find her parents, so Julia and Gregory Vida adopted the young girl who had told them her name was Psyche.
She grew up happy and strong, but things began to happen that made Gregory and Julia worry. She seemed to speak to people who weren't there. At first, they attributed it to imaginary friends, but many of the things she discussed were not remotely the sorts of things about which young children normally spoke. Sometimes, she seemed afraid of these invisible beings. There were other times when she would become physically ill if she was in too crowded a place. They saw doctors and psychiatrists, but nothing seemed to help.
Over the years, based on what Pysche was telling them, they worked with her on these abilities, to make them stronger but also easier for her to control. They hadn't believed what she'd told them at first, but time after time, her words rang with truths they couldn't ignore. With their help, she was able to go from being a frightened, unsocial young girl to a joyful, social young woman. She was able to attend college and though she didn't stay in any one major or even in college itself for long, she led a full, adventurous life. She backpacked over Europe, Africa, and South America. She's done road trips over the United States, Mexico, and Canada. In general, she just loves to experience anything and everything she can at least once.
She earns money by helping ghost hunters investigate houses and by helping people contact their deceased loved ones.
Strengths
- Likes to help people feel happier
- Isn't afraid of the unexplainable
- Intelligent and open minded
Weaknesses
- Overcrowded places with too many emotions sometimes make her feel ill.
- Has difficulty settling down which has been detrimental to forming tight bonds with others
- Often runs from things rather than facing them in an effort to keep things changing
Abilities
Empathy
Mediumship
Melding the Five Elements ((She doesn't even know about this ability yet.))
Telepathy ((This is one that she hasn't quite figured out exactly but the potential exists.))

Hasina Onnos
Used in:
Bram: Hunt for the Irinen - OoC
Name
Hasina Onnos
Age
Twenty-Five
Gender
Female
Appearance
Hasina is tall for a woman, standing at about five feet and eight inches. She jokes that it enables her to see more of the world to aid in her profession as a navigator. Her figure is very athletic with small curves which has become more toned through her sea travels. Her brown skin has subtle, red undertones, and it has been made darker by the sun, but it is unblemished by scars or marks.
The sailor’s black hair is streaked with white like many of her people, and it extends to just above the small of her back. She frequently wears the thick waves in a variety of styles from intricate braids to simply allowing it to hang loose. Her brows have a softly defined arch and are a couple of shades lighter than the hair of her head.
Hasina is by no means considered a beauty though she isn’t necessarily unattractive, either. Her eyes are small and slightly slanted, but they are striking due to the golden irises with the green flecks. Her nose is long and has a broad base that extends to a small mouth though the lips themselves are fuller. Her cheekbones are high and prominent, her forehead is low, and her jawline is strong and prominent.
Weapon(s)
A fácon knife
A parrying dagger
Two bladed fighting fans
Ability
Breathing Underwater
Whenever she is underwater, small gills manifest a bit painfully on her neck beneath the backs of her ears.
Deities
Mathyr, Goddess of Hard Work and Sacrifice
Erint, God of Travel
Occupation
Navigator and Cartographer
Current Ship
The Golden Albatross, a Merchant Ship
Personality
People often underestimate Hasina because she is soft spoken and graceful despite how athletic her body is. They tend to think that she can’t hold her own, that she would be delicate, and she feels no reason to prove herself to them. However, when it truly counts, the proof reveals itself in her skills and in her knowledge. She holds her own only when it’s necessary to help herself or to help others, but she severely dislikes starting or participating in needless violence or arguments.
Hasina is very attached to her culture, and she was raised to be a hard worker and a kind, understanding person above all else. She does whatever tasks are given to her or whatever tasks that need to be done that she is capable of doing, and she does these without complaint. The dark skinned woman also believes that all people have some semblance of good in them, no matter what choices they’ve made, but she also understands that just because a person is given a chance to show it, they won’t necessarily take it and allow that goodness to show, so while she’s opened minded and positive, she isn’t necessarily naïve.
This particular female has a thirst for knowledge. She wants to explore whatever lands she can to learn whatever she can from those lands. She is a good artist, and she loves to create maps of all of the places she’s been. Some of her maps are even more accurate than the maps made by professional cartographers. However, she doesn’t want to chart and map what has already been done. She wants to explore new lands, create new maps.
Hasina is very slow to anger because she chooses to be understanding and pacifistic whenever possible. She understands that there may be motivations other than how she initially interprets something behind an unwanted action or word, and she prefers to have calm, meaningful discussions rather than flying off the handle while the other person is still unhappy.
Background
Hasina Onnos was born on the outskirts of the Death Sands in a small village where everyone acted as if they were one, large family. There was no specific leader, for everyone cooperated and worked together to make sure they were all comfortable, well fed, and happy. Mathyr was worshipped above all other deities – aside from Bram himself – and she blessed them for it. They had enough to live comfortably for a while.
However, when Hasina was very young, the creek near them began to dry. No one could understand why Mathyr was suddenly forsaking them, and by the time the young girl reached her tenth year, they were forced to move the village away from the desert. They were accepted by another village, and they all worked together once more. However, these people had a hierarchy of power rather than the anarchistic society Hasina’s people had enjoyed, and their society was a bit corrupted by it.
However, this did little to change how her parents raised her. They continued to raise her with the values of their people before they came to this village, and nothing would stop them from doing so. Hasina grew up to be a child of both worlds, in a sense, carrying teachings from both societies.
When she was fourteen, she met a man named Imad Shukri who was from the new village who frequently traveled, and she imagined she was in love with him. He took her with him to Cherom with her parent’s permission, and that was when she developed a thirst for travel. He taught her about Erint, and he taught her about many other things she never would have understood without the experience. They traveled together for some time, and when she was sixteen, they decided to go home to be wed. However, they were attacked by the Royal Army on the way, and they were accused of theft. Her husband-to-be was slaughtered, and they would have killed her, too, but something about her caused them to show her mercy. Instead, they took an artifact from Imad’s bags and left. She continued on her way home with his body so it could be laid to rest with his people.
However, she kept his journal in which he had written many things in his travels, including things about the artifact that they had stolen. It had been a powerful totem of his people, one that was said to bring life where there was little to none so that peace could be found forever through their lands. Apparently, a century before, white men had stolen it from them to be given to the Royals, and Imad had simply devised a plan to take it back. Now, it had been stolen once more.
After the burial, Hasina vowed to recover that artifact, for Imad’s people were her people, too, and she believed in his cause. However, she has never been able to find it. When she heard about the RS Irinen’s disappearance, she believed that would be the final place where she could find this artifact, and there was the added bonus of discovering yet unknown lands as well.

Katara
Disclaimer: Katara is based on the character by the same name in the animated television series Avatar: The Last Airbender. I do not own Katara, but this version of her is simply an interpretation based on the ideas produced in the game in which I’m using her. I am not profiting off the use of her.

Physical Appearance
Katara stands at a height of five feet and nine inches. Her body is fit and strong from her years of hard training with waterbending, but since her youth, she has developed womanly curves that make her look a little more delicate than she actually is. However, while she isn’t helpless with her waterbending skills, in a contest of physical strength, she would be easily beaten by those who are used to melee combat.
Her hair is the colour of dark tea, and it extends to the small of her back in thick waves that are tight enough as to almost be curly. She frequently wears half of it in a horizontal log bun at the back of her head with two streams of hair loops going from her hair line and connecting to either side of it. The rest of her hair remains down and loose.
Her brows, the same colour as her hair, have only a small arch to them and sit above large eyes the colour of blue jennemite. Her eyes are surrounded by thick lashes that – when her eyes are closed – rest upon high cheekbones. Her nose is straight and small with a slightly broad base and upturned tip. Her lips are of moderate, feminine fullness. These features rest in a heart-shaped face.
Her skin is a deep tan, sometimes almost brown colour. It is mostly unblemished save for a terrible burn scar that mars the flesh of her left, outer thigh and extends up her hip onto her side and the small of her back. Other than that, she has no other scars, and her flesh lacks even a mole.
Personality
Katara is very emotionally driven, involving herself completely in the heartache and needs of those around her. Placing her whole heart in the affairs of others, as well as bearing her own heartache, she is often easily reduced to tears. She often reacts to how she feels before she logically considers her options, and this often gets her into a lot of trouble. Katara has a very maternal personality and often acts as a motherly figure toward her family and friends. The loss of her mother and father as well as her entire tribe to the war is what drives her in her fight against the Fire Nation. She’s also a bit of a stickler for morality, causing others to be extremely shocked if she ever breaks the rules – which, when broken, will often be in a far grander way than those who frequently ignore them.
The waterbender loves children, and she someday wants some of her own but only if the war comes to an end. She cannot imagine bringing a child into a world as broken and as torn as the Fire Nation has made it. However, she is always kind and generous to the existing children of the world – even if their Fire Nation provided they haven’t had enough years to become hardened into ignorance about the rest of the world. She’s even skilled with midwifery, having helped many women of the Southern Water Tribe give birth.
Katara is caring and compassionate, and is often marked by a fierce determination to aid others. She will never turn away from people who need her help, provided they aren’t trying to hurt or kill her or those she loves. Her strong desire often frustrates others, particularly Sokka.
For all her kindness and compassion, she is sometimes very self-righteous, has a rather nasty temper, and can be extremely fierce when provoked. With lack of sleep, this side of her can quickly become more apparent. She is also very set in her ideals and frequently refuses to relent on her views in the face of opposition. Combined with her strong sense of compassion, this gives her a very strong sense of justice, and she will run headlong into often dangerous situations to help others. Her short temper has frequently clashed with others.
Despite being very compassionate, Katara is one of the least willing people to let go of a grudge, especially against those who she feels have betrayed her trust. However, Katara is sometimes willing to give people second chances – with much reluctance.
Katara is marked by a fierce desire to learn all she can of waterbending, viewing it as a part of her and of her culture that needs to be expressed. Her enthusiasm for waterbending causes her to constantly train herself in the art, and even after being trained by the Avatar herself in the arts of healing and fighting styles, she still fought for the right to be trained by Master Pakku, and she requested the teachings of Hama as well. Master Pakku has stated that Katara accomplished becoming a great Master waterbender due to her fierce determination, passion, and hard work.

Background
Katara was born eighty-six years after the start of the war started by Fire Lord Sozin, one year after her brother Sokka’s birth, to Chief Hakoda and his wife, Kya. Despite the turbulent times, her childhood was mostly happy, and as soon as she began showing an affinity toward waterbending, her great-grandmother – Avatar Inoa – began to train her in the arts of fighting and healing. The young girl loved it, and she trained hard every day.
When she was eight years of age, she got her first experience in witnessing black snow fall from the sky. It was, of course, soot from Fire Nation naval ships that had mixed into the clouds, causing the snow in them to fall to Earth. A great battle ensued, and at its end, many people been killed – including Kya whose death Katara had witnessed. It was her first true sense of tragedy, but she tried to stay strong for her family, taking over Kya’s duties and keeping everyone together despite its being such a dark and terrible time.
She continued to train hard, but her skills would not be put to the test for many years because her father and great-grandmother did not feel she was ready. When she was eleven, a nearby Southern Water Tribe village was massacred by the Fire Nation, and she was not permitted to help heal those who might still be alive because the scenes were more gruesome than many had ever witnessed.
Finally, when she was fourteen, Sozin’s Comet came again as it was wont to do once every one hundred years. Katara and her brother fought hard for their tribe, but it soon became apparent that the firebenders were too strengthened by the comet, and their family forced them to flee to the Earth Kingdom. Before they could leave, the daughter of the Chief was knocked unconscious, and by the time she awakened, she was in the Earth Kingdom with her brother, grandmother, her grandmother’s friend – Hama – and her father’s best friend - Bato. A mother and her son who had also escaped succumbed to the wounds they’d received and passed away before Katara regained consciousness, so she was unable to use her healing abilities on them. The others’ wounds were not so terrible, and she was able to heal them to some extent, but too much time had passed, and their wounds all left puckered, malformed, burn scars.
They traveled to the Northern Water Tribe, the only Water Tribe left, for the Southern Water Tribe had been completely wiped out along with any who had not been on the ship with the Chief’s children and mother. Once there, they were gladly accepted, and they mourned greatly. However, half a year later, Katara began to shake things up by screwing up the cultural norms that separated the sexes. She fought hard to be trained by Master Pakku in fighting styles, even going so far as to battle the Master himself. She lost to him but the fact that she was nearly able to take him down impressed her. Furthermore, Master Pakku wooed her grandmother who had a hand in convincing him to change his stance on training women.
Though he consented, many began to resent Katara for her brazenness. Many shunned her, and they were jealous of her abilities. Only a handful of people – her newly acquired step-grandfather Pakku, the healer Yugoda, a few other people here and there, and one man named Hanu – accepted her and grew close, or tried to grow close, to her. Meanwhile, Sokka brought even worse anger toward their family when he began to pursue Princess Yue who was betrothed to a warrior named Hahn. Despite his pretending it was all under the guise of friendship, it was difficult to ignore the looks the Princess and the peasant cast to each other when they were near, and sometimes, they disappeared together for long periods of time. Sokka confessed to his sister that he and Yue were “together” despite her marriage to Hahn, and that the Princess often tried to break things off only to come back to arms of the man she truly loved.
However, Sokka’s adultery did nothing to hurt Katara’s chances of becoming a key political figure in the Northern Water Tribe, often advocating changes for the better that those who do not hate her for shaking things up have found to be quite beneficial. This was why she was chosen to go to the Earth Kingdom to appeal to the King in Ba Sing Se for aid against the Fire Nation’s frequent attacks.

Kaliska Makya
Used in:
Caligo: Days to Come - OoC
Name
Kaliska Makya
((pronounced kuh-LEE-skuh MAH-kee-uh))
Sex
Female
Age
417
Date of Birth
November 22nd, 1593
Heritage
Native Caligoan
Profession/Vocation
Archivist
Appearance
Kaliska has long hair that cascades in soft waves almost to her derriere. It's such a light hue of blonde that there are times when it almost appears to be white. She tends to wear braids throughout it as well as adornments such as random feathers she finds attractive and pieces of twisted metal that often serve to keep her fair braids secure. Along her hairline is a very small widow's peak that is difficult to discern against her fair skin.
Her brows, which are actually a darker blonde colour that almost looks brown next to the contrast of her hair, are nicely arched and neither too full nor too thin. Beneath them sit a pair of eyes which are wont to appear anywhere from a silver-blue to an almost green colour depending on the lighting. However, they usually appear to be a dark, grey-blue. They're surrounded by long, dark-blonde lashes.
The bridge of her nose is straight, ending in broader, slightly turned-up base. From a profile view, her nose is a bit long, but it works well for her face. Her cheekbones are a bit high which suit her heart shaped face well, and her lips while not very full are well shaped.
Kaliska stands at about five feet and five inches, weighing about one hundred twenty-four pounds. Her body is fit and agile, and while it's clear she's female, her curves are small with her body shape being more like a rectangle.
Her skin is fair and mostly blemish free. A few scars mark her, namely two lines beneath her chin, a small burn scar on her right arm, and almost imperceptible lines along her wrists from when she had hard times during her earlier years.
She has a small mole just along the side of her left cheekbone, and a small freckle beside the left peak of her upper lip. There's a mole at the base of her throat and a few random freckles here-and-there along her body.
She loves jewelry, and she always wears something. Her favorite pieces are her silver thumb ring she wears on her left hand, a small band of silver she wears on her right ring finger, a silver band that curves around her right bicep, and a quarts crystal pendant that hangs from a black cord that she wears around her neck.
Her clothing style is very eclectic. She prefers many different styles though her most utilized tend to run along a more bohemian front. She loves colour, and she'll wear any combination she likes, but her favorite groups of colours are cool colours ((blues, greens, purples)) and earth tones ((browns, earthy greens, etc.)).
Personality Traits
Kaliska is a bit of a conundrum. At times, she is brash and hotheaded while at others she can be calm and more diplomatic. Like her mother before her, she has times of positive emotions and times of negative emotions, all in the extremes. However, unlike Huyana, it's easier for her to become neutral once more, and she can more quickly calm her intense joy or her fiery anger.
The blonde has a good balance between academic intellect and common sense though there are times when one or the other of those seems to lack like with any other normal person. This namely happens when she's in a state of high emotion, for she finds it difficult to think clearly when she's too impassioned.
While Kaliska is a bit selfish, namely when her emotions are running high, she can be a kind and generous friend as well as a loyal one. She stick up for her friends when she feels they're right or if they've been wronged. However, she isn't afraid to let them know when she feels they aren't right because she knows that she would want her friends to do the same for her.
All in all, the makes her seem blunt and undiplomatic, but she doesn't mind. It's who she is.
She strives for knowledge, and she severely dislikes not knowing something, even if it's not anything of consequence. Secrets irritate her, and she values honesty above all else though this may make her a bit of a hypocrite, as she often keeps things from others.
There's a darkness to Kaliska that has been growing with each new tragedy she must face. Her view of the world is no longer good and pure, and she often questions life, her goals, and the things she does. What is good any more? What is right when everyone seems to die around her?
Many of the things she does could be perceived as cruel though she doesn't necessarily view them this way. Other things she does could be perceived as wonderful. Kaliska is sort of a neutral person. She could go either way on the scale of good to bad at any given moment.
Family
● PARENTS ●
▪ Huyana Makya - Mother (deceased)
▪ Sharva Savitri - Father
Huyana Makya could be a bit manic. One moment, she could be happy and joyful, and the next one would encounter a fury like none other. It was rare to catch her in a middle ground, a point of calm existence.
This wasn’t to say the single mother of two wasn’t a decent parent. She had been wild in her youth, and she took it upon herself to always be open with her children, so they would always feel they could be open with her. She also allowed them to follow their own paths whether they have something to do with religion, with sexuality, or with making their own choices and their own mistakes so long as they weren’t too terrible. Huyana simply tried to guide her children in a direction of understanding and learning.
Despite this, the woman frequently fought with her children. Her unstable emotions served to make a confusing atmosphere for her son Sewati and for her daughter Kaliska. As the children grew older, they began to see their mother as flawed though they continued to love her. Sadly, it was clear that of her two children, Kaliska was her favorite, and that is probably part of what prompted Sewati to long for their grandmother to be his mother instead of Huyana.
Sharva Savitri was a drifter. He frequently moved between cities on Caligo with little to no money, but he always managed to survive. He had very little responsibility, and he liked it that way. The man was young when he met Huyana, and he only had fun in mind. When he discovered he’d impregnated her, he split. Kaliska didn’t have him in her life until fourteen years later, and by then, he had settled down and had become more responsible, but having a daughter whose life he’d essentially missed prevented them from ever becoming close – even after Huyana passed into the spirit realm.
~*~*~*~*~*
● SIBLINGS ●
▪ Sewati Makya - Older Half-Brother (deceased)
▪ Chitra Savitri - Younger Half-Sister
Sewati Makya was Kaliska’s idol for a long time. He was only three years older than her, and she always wanted to be around him even when he didn’t want her to hang with his friends and himself. Like any siblings, they had their rivalries, but they loved one another.
Sewati was fiercely protective of her, even going so far as to get into trouble trying to protect her from the evils of their world. He always seemed to have knowledge that exceeded what normal kids his age would know about the world which enabled him to know what it meant when people could potentially harm his little sister.
It wasn’t just world knowledge of which he seemed to have an abundance, for he was also academically superior to kids his age. He skipped a grade in his early years, and he was an honor student who took advanced courses for a while. Kaliska always felt intellectually inferior to her older brother, but instead of crying about it, she only worked harder in an attempt to catch up to Sewati.
He began going through a hard time in his forties when he began to get involved with drugs. He began to hang around the wrong crowd, and he began to grow depressed as life felt it wasn’t going where he’d hoped. A couple of decades later, he committed suicide with his shade companion, leaving his family devastated.
Chitra Savitri and Kaliska were never fully as close as they could have been. Because Kaliska was on speaking terms with their father, she didn’t serve much of a purpose in Chitra’s life until the girl reached adulthood. The two girls are on good terms with one another, but they’re more like acquaintances than sisters, for they aren’t very close. They only see one another once every few months.
~*~*~*~*~*
● GRANDPARENTS ●
▪ Honon Makya - Mother's Father (deceased)
▪ Penina Makya - Mother's Mother
Nanny Penina and Papa Honon practically raised Kaliska and Sewati in their youth until Huyana began moving all over the place without them. Honon was the peacemaker in the family, always trying to resolve issues amicably while Honon was the boisterous sort.
Though the two loved both of their grandchildren, Penina’s favorite grandchild was Sewati, and Honon’s favorite was Kaliska though the former had a tendency to be stuck with the less appealing jobs that concerned the two children while the latter got to show off his adorable granddaughter.
The two adults separated when Kaliska was still a child due to irreconcilable differences (namely Honon’s adultery), and he moved to another city to care for his aging mother whose shade had passed away decades earlier. However, the children were able to see their grandfather during holidays and vacations until he passed away from sickness after his shade had mysteriously disappeared.
~*~*~*~*~*
● SIGNIFICANT OTHER(S) ●
▪ Sang Minh - First Husband, Divorced
▪ Uras Zabu - Second Husband (deceased)
Kaliska and Sang met when she moved into her first apartment by herself. Their relationship progressed quickly, and after only a short time, the two married. However, their relationship didn’t take long to sour, for he was her first serious partner, and their communication skills were lacking. He also had a tendency to lie and purposely make her feel inferior, especially after they learned of her inability to bear children. Though Sang strung her along for almost a year after they separated, she gained some self-confidence, and she insured the divorce was finalized.
Uras Zabu was a little shy of Kaliska at first when he saw her working at a library. It was a small establishment, and though there were larger, better libraries in the area, he couldn’t resist coming to the one where she was employed. After a while, he sucked up his courage and asked her on a date.
Having learned from her last serious relationship to take things slow, they dated for a five years before marrying, but it was worth it. Their marriage was happy and comfortable, and they loved each other deeply. The only thing that separated them was when Uras who was a firefighter ended up perishing on the job along with his shade who was trying to help.
Since then, Kaliska has never been involved in a serious relationship, choosing to date casually rather than allow her heart to be consumed and broken again.
Friends and Enemies
● Mali Bussaba ●
Mali and Kaliska were fast friends ever since they met when Kaliska's family moved to Mali's town. They met at a summer camp when they were still children, and they've been fast friends ever since. Even when Kaliska moved all over the place, Mali was the only person who tried to keep in touch with her, something for which Kaliska has always been grateful.
With Mali's Brownyte, Niran, a sort of balance exists between the girls and their shades. Mali and Niran are cool and collected while Kaliska can sometimes be an impulsive hothead.
The four have been friends for over four hundred years with no foreseeable end in sight.
~*~*~*~*~*
● Luminita Liviu ●
While Kaliska has known Mali longer than Luminita, she feels that Luli ((as Kaliska has nicknamed her)) is her best friend though the three women have formed a bit of a trinity for their friendship.
Luminita's shade is an Inklaw named Ionel, and he gets along with both Kaliska's Grimalkin and Mali's Brownyte.
Kaliska and Mali both met Luli at the same time while they were in college, and they all became fast friends. Their friendship with one another has never faltered, and they are closer than she is to her own sister. Luminita often even has sisterly squabbles with Kaliska - started by one or both at any given time - but they quickly make up with one another once the latter has had time to calm her fury.
Luli is the pacifist and the peacemaker of the group. While Mali would rather ignore something and Kaliska would rather confront it, Luli wants to try to smooth things over in the way that gets the least amount of people hurt.
~*~*~*~*~*
● Enam Vakasa ●
Kaliska has a strange friendship with Enam. When they first met when she was in her thirties, she was instantly attracted to him, and he was attracted to her. However, there was always a road block of some kind preventing them from becoming anything more than friends.
As time progressed, their attraction never left, but it became weaker as both realized neither would be a good mate for the other. Instead, they overcame their mutual, physical desires and transformed them into a stronger friendship.
They're very open with one another, so much that they can talk about things with each other than even Luli and Mali wouldn't be able to understand. Enam sees the darkness in Kaliska and accepts it as part of whom she is though he doesn't try to exploit it or encourage it.
Like her, his shade companion is a Grimalkin though his is a female named Nomble.

▪ Neurolash
When deactivated, this weapon looks like a small, black cylinder with silver details. There's a button at the base which, when pressed, will cause a plug to protrude from it where it can be plugged into an outlet to recharge.
Along the shaft is a button that is activated by Kaliska's finger prints alone. When this button recognizes her finger prints, the cylinder will elongate into a baton-like weapon, and the abilities of this weapon will be simultaneously activated.
Excruciating nerve pain will be caused when any part of the baton other than the handle touches a person. Another, smaller button is revealed when the baton is activated. Pressing it will cause threaded plastic and metal wires to sprout from the end which can then be used more like a short whip with the same results as the baton itself only spread over more area. These glow in the darkness unlike the baton itself, and they cause the same pain.
If a baton is held to a person long enough, it's possible to inflict nerve damage.
Even without the nerve pain, it still makes a pretty useful blunt-force and whip-like weapon.
Because this weapon is so dangerous, Kaliska had to take extensive training to use it, and she must own a permit to carry one which she has.
~*~*~*~*~*
▪ Tegmen Shield
A force field that covers the entire body of the one who possess it like a second skin. It permits air flow to enable to wearer to breathe, but it deflects projectiles. It also serves as a light-weight armor against falls or physical blows though her body will still feel pain from the blows if they're hard enough. For instance, if she was to be shot by a gun, she would likely have a large bruise where she was shot, but it wouldn't have penetrated her body. If she was hit by a moving vehicle, she would also have bruises and potentially fractures depending on the speeds, but the shield would protect her from the worst of the blow.
Equipment
▪ Jaunt Pack
This lightweight, durable pack overs a great way to store the essentials a person needs whether they intend to travel in the wild or in the cities. It has one strap that crosses diagonally over the chest and attaches at the top of the pack over the right shoulder and at the base of the pack under the left arm.
The pack itself is able to plug into an outlet to store large amounts of energy in case the owner needs to charge something while (s)he is away from home. Kaliska has added an upgrade that allows her hoverboard to be attached for when she chooses to walk or to free-run.
~*~*~*~*~*
▪ Causerie Transmitter
This device fits snugly about the ear, and it works much like today's blue-tooth ear devices. The difference is that the Causerie is a phone in and of itself, and it does other things such as describe the weather. It also acts as a verbal GPS if one becomes lost. It's voice activated and directed.
This device is also special in that it picks up even a small whisper of words rather than needing one to speak loudly and clearly. It also keeps outside noise out so one can better hear through the speaker. On the opposite end of that, it also keeps the speaker noise from being heard outside it.
Vehicles
▪ Hoverboard
Kaliska's been flying hoverboards since she was a teenager, and she's owned her current one for over a century. Enam is mechanically inclined, and she pays her friend for upgrades and repairs on her hoverboard. Though it's been through a lot with her, it's shiny black exterior with silver decals and blue-green lights are still in great shape with only a few scratches and scars that couldn't be repaired marring the surface.
It's a large, complex board made of metal that hovers above the ground. One rides it much as they would a skateboard except it floats rather than having wheels to help it move. To ride it, one must wear a pair of cuff-like bracelets and a sensor that clips to one's naval.
The bracelets are a safety precaution in case one should fall from the board. They will keep a person levitated by the wrists at the same height as the board though falling from too high could result in dislocations. The naval sensor allows the board to read a person's center of gravity to adjust the movement of the board.
This mode of transportation also has white lights on the front and red lights on back like any other kind of car though they can be disabled. The blue-green lights running along the bottom are more for decoration.
Over water, the hoverboard can ride along the waves much like a surfboard.
The board itself is large enough that it can be hold two riders though only the one wearing the naval sensor can direct it. Kaliska had Enam make a harness for Shyam that works much like her crash bracelets so Shyam - only in his critter form - can ride on the back with her.
~*~*~*~*~*
▪ Tempest Hover Bike
Kaliska owns a two-seater hover bike from the popular Tempest series. It's powered by the wind, and it can reach speeds of five hundred miles per hour. It can either be an open vehicle, or it can be enclosed like a pod. It works much like a motorcycle with the exception that it hover above the ground. It can seat up to two people though Shyam tends to be her passenger while he's in his critter form.
The Past
● THE PAST ●
Kaliska Makya was born as the second child to Huyana Makya . At the time, Huyana was fifty years of age, and Sharva Savitri, the father, was forty-three. The single mother was instantly attracted to Sharva's chiseled body, handsome features, and jaw-length hair - so light as to be almost white. They had a blast while it lasted, but when he discovered Huyana was pregnant, he disappeared.
Eight months later, he returned to the mother of his child, and he asked her to marry him, to give the child his name, and to be with him. However, he was changed. His chiseled form had become too thin, and his changeling, blue eyes had become darkly shadowed and sunken. Huyana realized he must be using some kind of drug, and she decided that she would neither support that kind of habit nor allow her daughter to be raised by a man like that. Sharva disappeared into the mists once more, leaving Huyana to raise two children with only the help of her parents.
Kaliska’s youth was relatively normal. She had friends, attended school, and loved her family. Very few bad things seemed to happen to her though there were a couple of times as a child when extremely unsavory things almost happened to her. However, her older brother, Sewati, was always there to protect her no matter what the cost – even becoming suspended from school for trying to stab an older boy who had tried to coerce Kaliska into things she was too young to fully comprehend.
Huyana frequently moved from city to city on Caligo, trying to obtain a fresh start for herself and her children though she couldn’t comprehend that she needed to change herself to keep from causing people to shun her or to obtain a lover who wasn’t a creep. The moves enabled Kaliska to adapt to new situations very easily though, as she aged, she hated moving more and more. Though she moved all over the island, one of her childhood friends, Mali, maintained contact with her through it all, and they’ve remained fast friends for life.
In 1607, Fourteen years after Sharva had disappeared into the mists, Huyana sought and found him. She decided that her daughter needed a real father figure in her life, not one she couldn't respect. She figured by this time, the man would have changed, and she was half right.
He had ceased his drug use, married a woman, and had a young daughter with her. It was as if he was able to start fresh on a life he had been unable to keep a decade earlier - though he claimed he couldn’t remember having gotten Huyana pregnant. His young daughter was a newborn, and his new wife had a young son of her own. The stress of having a teenage daughter in his life only added to his pressure, for he'd only been sober and clean for half a decade.
In the beginning, it seemed as if he really tried. They spoke frequently and visited with one another frequently. Even his wife and step-son accepted Kaliska into their family.
However, he had missed an important chunk of her developing life, and soon, the two grew apart. There were a couple of occasions when he wronged his oldest child as well, so the two stopped being on speaking terms.
As time passed, it became more and more apparent that her older brother was getting into some bad things, and they affected him so much that he fell into a deep depression. Sadly, no one was able to realize the true extend of his pain, for he hid it well behind jokes and laughter.
When Kaliska was fifty-eight years old in 1651, she watched her brother die. He didn't realize she was in sight, for he thought he was alone with his shade Gimmik. Pain was written all over his face though he had no physical wounds, and Gimmik's demeanor matched with equal intensity. Before she could call to Sewati, his dark blue eyes flashed a blue white, his arms rose, Gimmik's body tensed with power, and the man and Grimalkin were swallowed into the shadows that only Gimmik had previously been able to conjure.
When the shadows cleared, only the body of a man remained leaving Kaliska stunned at what she had witnessed.
The entire family and his friends were stunned, and a heavy cloud of depression hung over them all. Everyone blamed themselves, and Huyana and Nanny Penina grew distant from everyone in their misery, and the only offspring left was forced to play the role of the strong one for them though it tore her apart.
Having been forced into the role of the beacon of strength, Kaliska lived her life as normal, and she was almost able to forget the pain of losing her brother, of having to watch him die while she stood there, doing nothing. She attended college where she met one of her best friends, and she got her degree in Library Science.
When her education was complete, she met and married Sang Minh. She thought he was beautiful, and she loved him. However, their relationship progress quickly, and as soon as it burned itself out, he began to display great cruelty where her emotions were concerned. He never physically harmed her, but they fought frequently, and he did things to purposely hurt her feelings. He also began using drugs and lied to her about it. Their verbal fights became so vicious that Shyam - her Grimalkin - and Tien – his Brownyte – would battle as physical manifestations of their raging emotions.
Despite it all, Kaliska still loved him, and she wasn't willing to give up on their relationship though he had already thrown in the towel. He left her, and they lived separately while their divorce was settled.
Sadly, he missed the company. It wasn't necessarily HER company that was missed, but hers was the easiest to acquire. He strung her along, making her think they could end the divorce and get back together without any intention of doing so. This happened for a year until Kaliska finally obtained the strength to stop it.
Life continued as normal until Kaliska was ninety-six. Her grandfather's shade disappeared, and he became sick. After about a year, he passed into the spirit realm as his grandson had several decades earlier. Now, Nanny Penina was left without her favorite grandchild, and Kaliska was left without the grandparent who favored her. Still, the two left living loved one another, and they became closer than ever.
In 1712, when Kaliska was one hundred and nineteen years of age, her mother's shade was somehow killed in an accident about which Huyana loathed to speak. Her daughter always suspected that a spurned lover had been the cause. Soon after, the woman became sick with a similar illness as Papa Honon, and within a year, the woman passed entered the spirit realm.
To Kaliska, it was as if the world and the gods were conspiring against her, taking away any family she had. What if Nanny Penina, the only true family she felt she had left, was also taken from her life? Who would be left? What if her two best friends, Luli and Mali were also taken from her? Worse, what if she ever lost Shyam? It seemed too terrible a thing about which to think. For people who could live forever, too many people around her had died.
A little under a century later, one shining light entered her life. He was a voice of reason to cut through her illogical ponderings. He made her darkness seem to dissipate, and she could finally feel happy and whole and fulfilled again. Uras was a great influence on her and her life. She was able to progress in so many ways, and he enabled her to feel things she hadn’t felt in a very long time.
However, it wasn’t to last. After fifteen years of a beautiful relationship, he and his Inklaw, Ri, perished in a fire they were trying to stop. Depression and darkness took hold of Kaliska once more. She began to feel as if she wasn’t deserving of good things, as if happiness would only be stolen from her once she obtained it. There was naught she could do to remedy this, and for a long time, she simply felt as if she existed rather than truly lived.
● THE FUTURE ●
Kaliska would live the next two centuries relatively peacefully. Her pain would lessen though it would never fully leave her.
She would use this time to improve various areas of talent she enjoys such as dancing, parkour, and singing. She would also improve her fighting skills which would prove to be a very good thing considering that bad things would begin to brew for a couple of decades leading up to a war she would have no idea would ever happen.
The war will be a complete surprise to Kaliska, for though she will have been aware that strange things will have been happening, she will not have anticipated its escalating into such violence. She will try to pretend the war will not be as bad as it will be for a year, but this will not last.
One day, Shyam, her friends, and their shades will be threatened, and she will be filled with fury and enlist herself int he war effort. This will enable her to see more and more of the brutality of the Drifters and their Blue Trinity organization, and she will show no mercy.
She will refuse projectile weapons, instead choosing to be stealthy until she can get close enough to instigate melee combat, namely with her neurolash. Her background in parkour and dancing will enable her to be graceful, quick, and sneaky, to get into areas that will normally be difficult for anyone to enter.
With Shyam and his explosive ability as well as with her skill and daring, Kaliska will save lives, but she will also take them, and she will do and see other things about which she will only rarely speak, things that will haunt her for the rest of her life.
When the Outsider War will end with the Caligoans being victorious, she will celebrate with the others and mourn their losses. Luckily for Kaliska, all of the people who she will have lost will have been long dead before the war. Perhaps the only thing Kaliska will truly lose during the war will be any clear-cut sense of right-and-wrong which will allow the darkness within her to move a little closer to the surface, enough that it will be seen in her eyes and not just something one who is attuned to people will be able to sense.
Kaliska will continue to live as normal though things will never be completely normal again. For the most part, she will be able to hide this from the general public.

Shade Name
Shyam
((pronounced shy-AWM))
Shade Species
Grimalkin
Shade Sex
Male
Shade Ability
Kinetic Energy Manipulation
The ability to charge the kinetic energy in inanimate objects through touch, causing said objects to explode on impact or after a controlled amount of time.
Shyam's blue-green eyes flash momentarily brighter whenever he charges the kinetic energy an object.
Shade Biography
Shyam was born five minutes after his companion, Kaliska, and he found her immediately. They both loved one another instantly, and they were always there for one another.
In the beginning, he would switch back and forth between fire and earth abilities, never sure just what suited him best, but over time, he began to feel more and more connected to the fire.
When Kaliska and Shyam were nineteen, his ability finally developed in an explosive way. Luckily, no one was hurt, and though this power wasn't shared by Kaliska, she helped her shade companion to master this ability to insure that it wouldn't cause senseless destruction.
As far as personality goes, Shyam is calmer overall than Kaliska. Though he is as quick to anger as she is, he is also much quicker to calm, and he is able to calm her return far more quickly than she could have on her own.
He is, in a way, her voice of reason when he's calm, but if they're both angry, they should be avoided, for they can be a vicious pair.
Like his companion, there's a darker side to Shyam, but for now, he's in the neutral ground.

Jharna Danveer
Used In:
Boot Hill - OoC
Name
Jharna Danveer
Age
Twenty-Four
Sex:
Female
Appearance
Jharna is a bit on the smaller side, standing at only about five feet and four inches. Her figure is a slight pear shape, but she is very fit from all of the running and crouching she does. Her skin is naturally a light tan with golden undertones. She has a few scars here and there, especially along her back and the backs of her thighs from her childhood.
Her eyes are large and almond shaped with dark brown irises with dark brows softly arching above them. Her nose is long and prominent but straight. Her face is oval shaped with high cheekbones, and her lips have a well defined bow with average fullness. This native Indian's coffee coloured hair extends straight down to her lower back.
As far as clothing goes, she simply wears whatever the job requires. Baron Lorand prefers that she dress like a lady in his presence. This means long, full skirts with bustles, corsets, intricate hairstyles and the like.
Generally, when she's stealing or fighting, she dresses in head-to-toe black, form fitting blouses and slacks along with comfortable boots. Her hair will be worn in a braid wrapped around the crown of her head on these missions as well.
Regardless of her attire, she always keeps sturdy pins secured in her hair either for picking locks or as small weapons.
Affiliation: Vassal to Baron Lorand Antal of the Order
Cover Role: Assistant Entrepreneur of a National Jewelry Making Firm
Personality
If one was to describe Jharna using one word, it would be "adaptable." As a young child, she had to learn to be whatever a situation commanded of her to survive. It aided her well for a long time. However, Jharna isn't solely a survivor. She cares deeply for the Baron that took her under his wing, and she cares about the fates of those affected by things they can't explain. In that way, she has a bit of a bleeding heart. Much of her earnings go toward helping those affected by supernatural phenomena. Despite her seeming bleeding heart, she isn't afraid to do what needs to be done if she feels it’s right.
Skills/ Abilities/ Powers
Jharna is especially agile, flexible, and light on her feet. It enables her to quickly and quietly maneuver herself into positions where she'll remain unnoticed. Stealth is her main talent that she has honed for most of her life. She's also a fantastic pick-pocket, and she excels in safe cracking and disarming alarms. She once boasted that she could steal anything as long as she could find a way to transport it, but her skills as a thief are now mostly used to find and stop supernatural disasters without a lot of civilian knowledge.
She has considerable skill with daggers, both throwing and hand-to-hand, and Baron Lorand taught her fencing. Her speed enables her to escape wounds or capture by those larger than her so long as she doesn't get cornered, and her endurance enables her to outmaneuver her human opponents until they tire and she can take them out. She's also very good with a pair of tonfa.
She is fluent in English, French, German, Hindi, Hungarian, and Spanish though she always retains a bit of her native Hindi accent. She has considerable knowledge of cultures both among humans and the supernatural.
Equipment
Daggers (with Silver Tips) for Throwing and Close Combat
Lock Picks
Log Book (for her cover)
Pocket Watch with Hidden Compartment (given to her by Baron Lorand)
Tonfa
Trench Coat (with many pockets for storing and hiding things)
History/ Bio
Jharna doesn’t know who her original family was. All she was ever told was that she was found in a basket at the doorstep of an orphanage as an infant. She was raised there for five years before they had to give her away, for the orphanage was just too overcrowded. She found her way into another family of children, but this was a lot different from living at the orphanage.
In the orphanage, she’d had little chores like keeping her bed made and cleaning up after herself. However, this new family put her to work. At any given time, there were fifteen to thirty other children of various ages headed by one man they called “Father,” and they spent their days begging on the streets. They collected as much money as possible in whatever ways they could, by lying and cheating mostly, and Jharna quickly became an expert in the art.
However, as she aged, people became less empathetic and less susceptible to her wiles. Father became angry with each day that she earned less and less, punishing her for her failures time and again. Jharna knew she was only a couple of years shy of being placed in a brothel if she couldn’t make her money on the streets, so she found a different way: theft. The first couple of times, she was caught, but with tricks and diversions, she learned clever ways around a person’s attention. Lifting a coin purse or a wallet became easy money, and she out earned most of her fellows, and she earned enough to stay out of the Courtesan Houses.
Unfortunately for her, she wasn’t unattractive, and the pressure was on to earn enough that even the highest bidder for her virginity couldn’t outshine her skill as a pickpocket. She began stealing more than just purses, going to shops for jewelry and the like. At thirteen, she was boosting things that even Father couldn’t have anticipated hiring men to grab. This didn’t deter him. Deciding he could have the best of both worlds, Jharna was auctioned off at the age of fourteen when she would be expected to run robbery jobs as well as work in the brothels, but she wasn’t having it. A week after a stranger forced himself on her for a smaller fee than she could earn stealing, she found a gun and killed the man who had played “Father” in her life for eleven years. Then she ran, away from the slums, away from her past.
Jharna continued her jobs independently, keeping enough to live comfortably and using the rest to help children in similar positions in which she’d been involved. She infiltrated the middle classes, finding “honest” work as servants among the richest of Brits, learning their ways and subtly stealing things they wouldn’t notice were missing for a while if ever. She was always smart about it, but one day, karma caught up with her – so it seemed.
A Baron from Hungary was visiting the English family for whom she worked, and he had brought beautiful, expensive items with him that were kept in his quarters. While she was cleaning one evening at the humble age of seventeen, she snuck into the Baron’s room while dinner was being served. Very quietly and carefully, she began rifling through his drawers for something she could take to sell on the Black Market.
Then she heard it – or rather, felt it. Something was in the room with her. She spun around in time to see a pair of hateful eyes peering down at her. Something was off about the man to whom they belonged. His skin was ashy, and his eyes were clouded beyond sight, yet she knew he could see her. It’s voice didn’t move directly with the lips uttering the words, and the sounds were like the scraping of gravel. It reached for her, but the malignance of the gesture had her reeling away, muttering a mantra to repel what she thought may have been a Vetala.
Jharna didn’t scream, and she didn’t cry. She just spoke the words over and over until the power of her words and her conviction had it trapped in a corner. Unfortunately, she knew if she moved, she would break the force of her mantra and it would go after her. Instead, she simply waited and wove her words against the monster until the Baron came to his quarters.
He assessed the situation in an instant and immediately began to speak final rites until the corpse fell to the floor, the evil spirit ejected from it. She tried to flee at that point, but he caught hold of her, asking her how she knew to wield such a powerful mantra. She confessed she’d learned it on the streets. When asked what she was doing in his room, she claimed she’d been dusting, but he obviously didn’t believe her. Even so, he released her.
The next day, she waited to be told she was fired or to be beaten by the head servant for her indiscretion, but the moment never came. Instead, he approached her himself and requested she come work for him. Her skills as a thief – for he had noticed she’d filched a medallion right from his pocket during their encounter – and the power of her mantra had impressed him. He felt she had real potential.
Initially, she declined, for she didn’t trust most men, but in time, he earned her trust, and she went with him to Hungary where he trained her to be a great investigator of supernatural evils as well as a proper lady with a proper education.
It wasn’t until after her first successful mission at the age of twenty-one that she was granted the title of Vassal under the Baron. This outraged a lot of the Order, for it wasn’t unknown that she’d originally grown up in the slums of India when he should have taken one of the other children of the Order as his Vassal, but Baron Lorand could have cared less. He didn’t feel that any were as worthy as Jharna, and being outspoken as he was, he made that very clear to any who tried to make some dispute to the Indian’s claim.
