Re: What are you currently doing?
I'm wasting time until I have to go to work. And waiting for my son to wake up. And thinking about posting twice in Sephiris so a fellow RP'er no longer has to wait on me to reach a certain point...
EDIT: Taeo is awake.

Wincing. Two books for school came out to be $195.35 I've got to get at least one more; which will be around $75 used. Good god... I forgot how expensive college was, and thats not even for my main courses. *Gulps*

Seriously. My son got to my wallet, and he thinks it is just the greatest thing. So many things to pull out of it... Its like a treasure hunt trying to find all the cards and papers as he spreads them across the house.

Yeah...I only have two books to get, but one is 108 dollars and the other is about 120 dollars... Not to mention financial aid couldn't keep up with rising tuition, so I have to find a way to pay an extra 375 dollars. I am so glad this is my last year. I don't think I could continue on here if it weren't. School was expensive to begin with...but now it is just ridiculous. Those text book people just rape you with their prices. And what choice do you have, really, when they come out with a new edition that every professor demands you have with every new school year or semester or quarter or week.

*Sigh* I know exactly what you mean. I did college classes while I was in highschool, and got my EMT license when I was 18. I paid for half of it, but even then I was stressing out because EMT books are... soooooo expensive, and they change about once a year. (Just like CRP seems to lol) Now I'm going in to get my paramedic's license, which will be an additional two years of school. It's going to feel a little strange being older than most of the other students, even though I've gone through college before... but I can't see how anyone expects you to be able to work full time, go to school, and manage to live with the economy as it is. There isn't enough money, the prices really should change. It was the whole reason I left for Alaska a few months back; I worked there 6 1/2 days a week for 18 hours a day, and already all that money is gone because of tuition, books and supplies. (Including a new laptop, which was built for school.... and a little play time )
Keep in there! I'll root for you. ^_^

Fate, I agree. It's really good so far, but I'm only a little over one hundred pages into it. However, the thing I love about it that it's giving me all of those details I so badly craved when I read The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux. I will say that one should definitely read Gaston Leroux's version before touching Susan Kay's Phantom, but yeah. Awesomeness. Jonathan warned me that the end sucks, though... I loved the end of Leroux's book because it was so tragically beautiful, and I hope that Kay doesn't ruin that...

Yeah. CJ does that to his daddy's wallet too.
Since he is home with me all the time, he constantly says Momma and wants me to do things for him that he can't yet. It annoys me to no end, but its so cute when he walks up and pats my leg, looks at me with those big blue eyes and says "Momma...[insert what he wants here]." I'll have to video it one day.

When Taeo wants something, like a ride on the blanket or to play outside, he will stand by what he wants and point at the person he wants to do it for him. If we take to long to understand, he starts throwing a fit. Not the best setup, but it is better than thinking he is crying for no reason. Took a long time to teach him to point at what he wants, but it does seem to have worked.

Re: What are you currently doing?
Thats cute.
I'm so glad CJ is talking more.
Of course, he still just babbles and such, but he is saying words more clearly now.
He learned how to say "ice" today and sometimes it sounds like "ass". I've already warned everyone so I don't have to worry about his grandparents getting onto him because they thought he said ass. XD

Re: What are you currently doing?
That is hilarious! My son says "die" a lot...but I think its just his way of saying dad or something. I don't know. He will just say "die" over and over, with other sounds mixed in between...

Re: What are you currently doing?
CJ said some odd things like that at first as well.
He probably is just trying to say Dad.
I bet Taeo is adorable.

Re: What are you currently doing?
Aww, you must work late, Silvone. Hehe but that Moomba smiley worked perfectly for that.
Another little update on Ryona's drawing:
I finished coloring in everything, which means now I have just one of the most time-consuming parts left -- shading and highlighting.

I'm currently watching The Gift. It has a lot of good actors and actresses in it.
Fate, when you're done with it, are you going to show everyone? =3

Yep, I'm planning on it. ^^ I'm pretty pleased with the way it's all coming out so far. When it's all done, I'll post it in the art section.

I can't wait!
I'm currently realizing there isn't enough activity tonight for me to get to 500 posts without spamming...so I'm going to go to bed. Goodnight!

Re: What are you currently doing?
Another little update on Ryona's drawing (which I'm currently working on):
I've finished shading and highlighting all the skin just now. I'm guessing I'm about 50% done with it all or so, since I've also got a background complete.

I can't wait to see that drawing, Fate! Ryona is really hyped up about it (including winning the contest!) and she was constantly asking me: "so what do you think she will draw?"

I'm just thinking about some stuff. Mostly about where I'm going to call about getting an internship.
Re: What are you currently doing?
I'm in class...listening to the teacher's many many many different stories and examples.

Researching the places I'm going to try to get an internship at and trying to figure out why I'm up so early after staying up so late.
Re: What are you currently doing?
Ack! Getting ready to get ready to go to a friend's wedding. Hopefully it will be fun. I promised a coworker to take my video camera, because he says there will be ample opportunity for other, drunk coworkers to make fools of themselves and he wants stories. I'm not good with stories....so....I'll let the camera tell it. If I can catch it.

Re: What are you currently doing?
Oh, how exciting, Silvone! Lol ah, so you're going to be that guy with the camera filming your drunken coworkers? Haha fun. Hope you have a good time!
Tony and I have been running errands, and my dad ended up transferring my some money today, so I was able to buy a new computer chair. This new one's nice and comfy. ^^ My previous one was made out of plastic (even though it was fairly nice and had a back massager built in), and the plastic on the arm that I leaned on ended up peeling off. It even started peeling off where I sat, so it was really annoying. So, yay for new chair!
Now, we're going to go get some dinner. Hopefully later on tonight I'll be able to get my role-play post up for Avatar like I wanted...

Re: What are you currently doing?
I'm currently sitting in my room, sick and told to stay until I feel better. (Also wear a mask when leaving, but fuck that. Seriously. I don't have Swine Flu.) But in the mean time, while watching the day go by for the second day in a row, I'm doing homework.

So far I have 'You have to eat it, to believe it.' As a tag, but still it doesn't hit me with amazing. D;
