My complaint is that I can't be there to laugh at you in person.

You want to be in a bathroom stall with me while I'm wiping my ass with industrial brown paper towels?

No. I meant right now, so I can see the look on your face while you REMEMBER it, so I can point and laugh at you in person.

Do you mean by carrying the baby? The male is an important factor in breeding, Shrödinger.

Re: The Complaints Thread >:(
Kathryn...? What happened?
Okay, I just woke up not too long ago, and when I turned on my computer, I had an e-mail from my dad. I went to the doctor back in March, because I had been experiencing some terrible pain in my lower stomach region, who then referred me to the ER at the nearest hospital. It turned out I just had ovarian cysts, which can be common among women, and a couple of them had burst, thus causing an excruciating pain over night once. So, this doctor visit was a quick thing and all he did was listen to what I said about my problem, and then he just told me I need to go to the hospital (worried it could be any number of serious things), so he really almost did nothing. And on top of that, at the hospital, I had to go through an ultra sound plus a cat scan, only to determine what I had were cysts, which they cannot do anything for, except to give me pain meds. WOW.
So, today, 3 months later, I'm still getting bills from the doctor and the hospital, and the insurance I have is through my school, and it's such a little insurance company, that the doctors and such (and even the pharmacist who I got my prescription from) didn't know about it. However, I had gotten a letter stating that the entire bill was $13,000, and that my insurance would be paying for it all. Not the case any more. I keep getting bill after bill for all these new things, which I've been having to send over to my parents. My dad has tried talking to my insurance company about this, since I'm supposed to have medical coverage, but the insurance company refuses to talk to him because he's not me. So, I'm the one that has to call them about this, and they just play dumb with me! They wanted me to fill out this paperwork for them, and I had sent that in months ago, and then they sent me a new one all over again! I called them up and asked them why I needed to fill it out all over again and if they even got the first one. The lady said, according to their records, they did receive it, but it hasn't been filed yet. UGH! So why are you sending me a new one!? They sound very unorganized.
So now, in my dad's e-mail, they've gotten bills from the doctor visit, the hospital, and the staff at the hospital, and the bill is now up to $13,000 for them to have to pay! My insurance is supposed to have the majority of this covered, and yet they are ignoring us and playing dumb. I guess the doctor visit alone was around $1,000!!!! Just to talk to this man and tell him my problem, one thousand bucks. What the hell is wrong with this country!? Since I have insurance for this though, I'm supposed to be mostly covered. My parents got me good medical coverage, but apparently the insurance company just doesn't want to pay it.
I'm not sure what we're going to do. I guess I have to call up my insurance again and figure out what's going on.

Wow, that's some shitty karma right there. You must have been like a used-car salesman in a past life. ^_^
*glomps* I'm sure it'll be fine. You might have a headache when it's over, though. Insurance companies suck.

0.0 Wow Fate. I'm REALLY sorry.
You better freak out on those people, and demand a manager or president of that insurance company. No joke...The small people won't care even in the slightest bit. You have to be REALLY mean.

Re: The Complaints Thread >:(
that sucks, Fate. ;(
Here in Germany, every citizen HAS to be insured, it's mandatory. if you can't pay for it since you don't have any money, the state pays.. (but it's really not nice to go through all the trouble), anyways, that makes something like that impossible around here... they can't adress the bills to the patients.
On the other hand, It also sucks; right now I'm paying around 300 of my 800 bucks each month for several insurances, which is, imho, quite a f*cking lot, considering that I'm going to a doctor's maybe once a year...
@ Schrödinger: Huh? You kidding me? I, for one, am quite glad not having to go through the trouble a woman has; fushing their system every month, having hormone troubles, becoming pretty much sterile once they grow old, and most of all, not being able to piss standing
But on the other hand, they have boobs.
Edit: Oh, I heard about a case where a man had a baby grown in his belly, they've put it in surgically and got it out the same way. Don't know more about it, though, maybe some googling helps.

Re: The Complaints Thread >:(
Thanks, guys. *hugs everyone* I called my insurance company earlier to ask them for a statement that I can sign that'll authorize them to be able to speak to my parents from now on. Hopefully, they can sort it out better than I can.
I wish we had something like that in the US, Kaito, but that's true that that is still a lot of money to have to be paying every month.

Re: The Complaints Thread >:(
Fate, if I may make a recommendation? I would suggest that the next time this happens (and heaven forbid it should), that you or your parents make it VERY clear that should this mess (which is likely affecting your credit rating and livelihood by now?) not be cleared up immediately and satisfactorily, that you will be hiring a lawyer.
And not just any lawyer, but the meanest, nastiest, most blood thirsty shark you can find...
Whether you really do or not, NOTHING seems to clear out the crap in bureaucratic minds faster than the threat someone just might go all Erin Brokovitch on them, and that the [relatively] measly $13,000 they COULD have paid has now turned into a cool couple million, for pain, suffering and punitive damages.
Just my two cents, your mileage may vary...
