A New Recruit for the Site

Hello, everyone!

My name is Kathryn though my last name, despite popular belief, is not Lacey. I don't have any nicknames, so I would appreciate it if you wouldn't call me by any. These include, but are not limited to, Kath, Kathy, Katie, Kate, etc.

I'm nineteen years old, and I live in Iowa. Surprisingly, I live near a cultural hub despite the smallness of the area. It's quite nice, and we always have a large, eclectic choice of foods to eat which is always nice. I am currently in a long-distance relationship with an amazing guy named Jonathan ((if you couldn't guess, he's the male in my avatar and signature. We have met in person, and I look forward to our next meeting.

In my free time, I enjoy reading and watching movies and television. I also, obviously, role play. I am involved in another role play on another site called Sons of Cain. It's kind of neat. At the moment, I'm reading The Hobbit again to prepare myself for The Lord of the Rings. Oh! I should also mention that I'm a grammar and spelling buff, though I do make a few mistakes myself. However, I'm probably your person if you want someone to proofread your grammar and whatnot. ^^_^^

As far as role playing goes, I'm pretty much up for anything, though I'm not always fond of things that mimic real and modern lifestyles such as school life and work life and the like.

Depending on my mood and the events in my life, I average one post every other day. Sometimes when things in my life happen that really suck, I sort of lose ambition to post, but I can occasionally overcome it as I have recently done.

Yes, I did just use the Greeting Ideas Guide to make this post, and I don't mind in the least. ^^_^^

I still am amazed that, when you were young, you went to school in the Quad Cities (where onenitedrive and I grew up). I actually prefer the state of Iowa over Illinois, too (though, admittedly, I haven't seen the entirety of each state). Jonathan and you make such a lovely couple, by the way.

That's neat that there's a role-playing place for vampires and lycans. Well, you already know that I'm a fan of those creatures of the night. ^_~

I think that I agree with you on role-playing tastes. I've found that I'm not very good or fond of high school-type RPs. Realistic ones though can be all right, depending, so long as it's not a total bore. xD

Woot! I think you are one of -- if not the -- first to use that guide, and I really like how much better we all got to know you and your tastes because of it. ^^

Fate: I went to two different school in the Quad Cities. When I lived in Davenport, I went to Madison Elementary School for fifth grade. When I lived in Bettendorf, I went to Bettendorf Middle School for seventh grade. In which city/cities did you and Tony live? I don't remember if you told me. =3

Also, yes. The Lycan/Vampire role play that I'm in is fairly interesting. Some days I like it more than others, though. I'm not sure how you would feel about it because, though it isn't mandatory for all players, there is a very slash/smut feel to it sometimes. ^o_o^

Tempest: I had no idea this spelling was so extraordinary. Most people I encounter with this name spell it the same way I spell mine. I was named after some distant great grandmother who I never had the fortune of meeting, soooo... yeah! It was all my mom.

Lucian: Yeah... I joined late one night, then I didn't have time the next day or so to make an introduction, so I made a late one. I'm surprised to see you here. I had thought your reasoning behind not playing in S*T was due to lack of ambition and time, but your introduction seemed to discuss something other than that... Hrm...

Ohhh, that's right. I am still blown away by that. Such a small world. xD Oh, Tony lived in Bettendorf, but I lived in Coal Valley (which is a small town on the Illinois side). But now we live in a suburb of Chicago together.
