Re: What are you listening to?
Currently listening to Sinners, a growling guitar-based rock song from the unheard-of and utterly underrated Pineapple Thief and their unique brand of progressive indie rock. Think Muse meets early Radiohead meets The Smashing Pumpkins.
Re: What are you listening to?
I love all three of those bands, so it must be good

Re: What are you listening to?
I highly recommend them. They're possibly my all-time favourite band. Ever.
Now listening to some classic rock, in the form of When the Levee Breaks by Led Zeppelin.

Re: What are you listening to?
Reptile, by Nine Inch Nails (same band again lol)
All about the emptyness of s*x with somone you don't love to try and fill an empty hole in your chest wilst only doing more damage (I think, after a trip to the pub music makes little sense to me for a few hours).
Again, highly recomended Industrial metal wonder of a song.
@ Ab'Sinthe, Birthday massacre = kick-ass!

Re: What are you listening to?
I'm listening to John Belushi by a band local to my home city of Cambridge, The Broken Family Band; they're folk/country/indie rock. Unfortunately, they're breaking up after their tour in October (), so I'm hoping to go see them live one last time before then.
Re: What are you listening to?
*Thinks that he shall listen to some Coldplay also*
Um yah... High Speed, from the same album.

Re: What are you listening to?
So, I'm not listening to anything of interest right now, so I thought I would share what I heard last night before I went to bed.
I used to think that Panic! At the Disco was a pretty pointless band, but their new song is actually pretty good in my opinion. It's called "New Perspective." I recommend it.

My son reading a book to his mommy and daddy. He is pointing at the pictures and words, and saying things that can only have meaning to him, though we are listening intently

Re: What are you listening to?
"Gimme Danger" - Iggy Pop and the Stooges.
I love the late 60's, early 70's stuff, mid-to-later 70's, far less. They got really tame and lame and then punk happened to counter it. Iggy and the Stooges? Well, they were the pre-Punk godfathers of punk.

Momentary Lapse of Reason album, by Pink Floyd. Before that I was listening to Animals by the same.

Man, you dig on the old stuff too.
"Voodoo Chile(Slight Return)" - Jimi Hendrix
The quintessential Hendrix song, besides "Purple Haze." I like it best of all though.

You listen to the Velvet Underground much? I think a Floyd fan could potentially get into it.

Re: What are you listening to?
I've actually never heard of it. I'm not well-versed in music, I just listen to the basics I remember from growing up really. I will look into though, and see what I think!

It's not the strong guitar rock stuff, it's more avant-garde 60's rock from San Fransisco, but they were excellent. Anyway, I like all that stuff from back in the day, but Hendrix, Floyd and the Doors reign supreme for me.

Re: What are you listening to?
Ooohhh....The Doors. I love The Doors. Hendrix. Led Zeppelin. Depeche Mode. Rolling Stones. And lots of others that I either can't think of or I just don't know what they are yet...
My all-time favorite, though, is definitely Pink Floyd. Memories of my past, a Father I once had, and the fact that I just love how it sounds.
But I've also fallen into 40-very early 50's music since playing Fallout 3. Particularly the Inkspots. I love their stuff! And a few others I can't think of now.

Summerisel Reprise - Agalloch
Amazing band from Portland, Oregon. Their music is some of the best I have ever heard. I dream of the day I might be able to see the band play live, seldom as they do.

Re: What are you listening to?
Pink Floyd's Saucerful of Secrets. I've never really listened to it thoroughly before (at least, I don't think I have, but it sort of sounds familiar). I'm not sure I really like it yet. I like the sound of it, sure, but it doesn't really strike me as Pink Floyd as I'm used to hearing it.
