Fredric Delryn
Age: 28
Hair: Orange
Eyes: Blue
Height: 5' 10"
Build: Lean and muscular, yet compact in stature.
Class: Paladin
Weapons: Two long swords sheathed on the back. Main weapon is a large morningstar mace.

As a man of honor and valor, Fredric always speaks the truth -- whether it would lead to his death or not -- and always places others before himself. Fredric's natural leader atmosphere around him and sense of a natural champion of righteousness has loyalty among the soldiers of Riv'nar. Respected, adored, and revered by the people of the kingdom, Fredric would love nothing more than to protect his people from the treachery of evil no matter the cost.

Joshua "Magus" Greylance
Age: 23
Hair: Black
Eyes: Blue, faintly glowing
Height: 5'8"
Build: Thin and frail-looking
Class: Deathmaster
Weapons: He has an athame at his belt, but prefers to wither and cripple enemies with dark magic, or attack with bare hands - his mere touch can harm the living, draining their life, if he uses the right dark spell.
Character: Joshua has an obsession with death and undeath, and is determined to be master of both. Although hesitant to hurt others when other avenues have not been explored, he is selfish and greedy for knowledge and power, and has no moral difficulties lying and cheating to get his way. He will go out of his way to help others, but not out of any kind of inherent virtue - he simply believes that having a good reputation will inevitably pay off in the long run, in favours and spellbooks and the like. Although he can be a smooth talker when he has to, it is a little hard to call someone charismatic when they prefer their own company and embrace the ways of a dark sorcerer, right down to the skull robes - not to mention his habit of stopping to listen to voices in his head.
Bio: As a youth, Joshua always dreamed of being a wizard, and enrolled under the teaching of a Master Sindri when he was twelve. But Sindri... was not a kind or a good teacher; he picked favorites, and deliberately hampered Joshua's progress by magical and mundane means for the slightest of imagined offenses. Aged fifteen, Joshua realized he'd actually been cursed to not progress far, and sought another wizard to lift the spell; when he heard of this, Sindri beat his student for daring to override punishment, and threw him in the cellar to starve for three days.
It was then the dead came calling to him, before his will was fully broken. Spirits from who knows how long ago danced around the boy, reinforcing his belief that he was being held back, and saying he could still become the greatest necromancer for centuries. All they wanted was a little favor, and in return for his word, Joshua would have all the power he'd been denied; when he learned that the 'favor' was to kill his bastard of a teacher, he agreed.
In an instant, he was granted more power than ever before in his life, and the spirits now inhabiting his mortal shell informed him that his curse was lifted. Taking a pile of bones from the cellar floor, he cast a spell that turned them into shards, and sent them flying into the locked trapdoor; in an instant it was blasted open, and the newly empowered fool boy stepped out of the cellar to confront his master. Already his skin had turned far more pale than before, and his eyes flashed every time he used his new powers.
We need not go into details, but suffice to say, Joshua's power was not enough to crush his master's expertise - although Sindri had less steam, he used it more efficiently, and neither had any truly powerful magic left when Joshua was brought low. Sindri approached to slit the upstart's throat, whereupon the voices advised Joshua to get up and grab Sindri's arm. He did, and suddenly Sindri cried out in pain as the touch burned him. That pushed the master over the edge; it was he who crumpled now, and it was his student who delivered the killing blow.
Since then Joshua has fled his past teachings, taking the pseudonym "Magus" and gaining more mastery over his new powers than he could have hoped for without the deal. After all, power is all the consolation he has for a horrible apprenticeship followed by becoming a murderer. On the plus side, his social skills quickly improved once his confidence recovered, especially with advice from the voices.
Other: A pure black bat by the name Erik accompanies Magus wherever he goes.

Raine Travoria
Age: 22
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Gray/blue
Height: 5’6”
Build: Slender, lithe, and lean.
Class: Archer
Weapons: Bow, two throwing knives, and a longsword
Character: Relatively open and optimistic, and is mostly lighthearted about the world in general. She’s a bit shy around new people, but it doesn’t take her long to warm up and act more her normal cheerful self. She has a keen eye, helpful to her archery, but has been known to be more of a people watcher as well.
Bio: Raine was the only child to her family, and her father treated her much like the son he always wanted. He took her hunting with him when she was old enough, gradually learning the skill of an archer. By the time she was in her late teens, she was a skilled archer. Her family moved from their secluded home when her mother died of illness, where her father wished to be closer to the city, starting business as an arrow fletcher. It was there she found a healer’s house, an elderly woman who treated wounds and ills with herbs and bandages… Raine felt as if she could have helped her mother if she’d known this herb lore, and resolved to study with her and learn, so she could help others like her mother. Four years of study have given Raine quite a bit of healing knowledge, but she still has plenty to learn.

Username: Eternity
Zephyr Va’con
Age: 32
Hair: Light Blue
Eyes: Brown
Height: 6’7’’
Build: Bulky/muscular
Class: Battle Shaman
Weapons: Voulge, axe, and hammer.
Character: Boisterous, sarcastic, and belligerent almost to the point of being bloodthirsty, Zephyr forgets what the word ‘quiet’ means when he’s around friendly people or when he has been drinking. When alone in the wilderness or in a lodge, he sheds this persona for a more restrained, philosophical nature to establish a better connection with nature.
Bio: Zephyr grew up under the strict regime of a nomadic tribe. Before he was even born he was not in control of his own life. His parents were having a difficult time conceiving so when their tribe met with several others to trade, they sought out a friendly spirit man. The spirit man agreed to help his parents with the condition that their first son would belong to him. This was the way that Zephyr Vaccon became an adept to the Sab’ro spirit man.
The Sab’ro tribe taught him how to survive in the Fang Desert, where to walk and what was safe to eat. Zephyr also learned how the tribe’s livelihood was dependent on each tribal community for survival. The last lesson was reinforced with his teachings from the spirit man, but on a much larger scale. As he grew and was tought, Zephyr became one of the stronger members of the tribe and quickly learned how to combine his skills as a warrior with his shamanistic knowledge to overcome both opponents and obstacles.
It was during the end of his time as an adept when the warning was received and the message was strong enough to disturb Zephyr when he was playing with the young children. His teacher, who had been consulting spirits for guidance at the time, nearly died. Zephyr was told that the tribe needed a man who could guide them with the spirits and that original spirit man was far too old to investigate the source of the blight.
A blood oath later and the young Shaman was on his way toward the southern part of Riv’nar, working as a mercenary or an herbalist or a laborer to pay for the journey and to await information regarding his opportunity to destroy whatever was upsetting the balance of the world.
Note: Zephyr is a Vindy. A Vindy is a race that lives inside the Fang Desert in barbarian tribal communities called Seiches. They are a race of humanoids with the natural ability to shapeshift into a particular creature of deadly ferocity. Vindy are more like vicious animals sometimes with great cunning as hunters for members of a simple tribal community life. Their life spans are very similar to humans but have higher resistance to physical pain. The rulers of Riv'nar have grown to respect the desert race Vindy as powerful allies in managing the Fang Desert affairs.

Amelia Velarde
Hair: Redish-Brown
Eyes: Redish-Brown
Height: 5’5”
Build: slender, lanky
Class: alchemist
Weapons: short sword, two daggers
Character: Amelia is sarcastic and blunt. She doesn't deal with emotion well, so she can be quite awkward to deal with. She is not afraid to give advice, but it usually is tough to handle. She has a lot of pride, and gets angry in situations where she is subdued. She doesn't have a lot of strength, but she can work a blade.
Bio: When Amelia was young, she lost three members of her family to a sickness that had swept through the fortress. Out of the once five family members, it was only her and her father, Tomas, who survived. Soon after the death of her mother and brothers, a series of healers had come through the fortress, healing those who were ill but had not yet perished. In Amelia’s eyes, this had seemed like magic, though most of the healers were in fact not wielding magic, but rather, medicines. It was then that she first became acquainted with the process of Alchemy.
It took much persuasion, but eventually her father allowed her to leave him in order to have an apprenticeship with one of the alchemists. After many years away from home, she eventually became a successful alchemist and returned to open a shop in her hometown of Fortress Rouna. It was only with her father’s help that she was able to open and successfully run the shop. She promised she would not abandon him again.
One day she left Tomas to run the shop for a few days while she went out to collect some of the basic medicinal herbs in the nearby forest that were always in demand. While searching for these herbs she was then found by goblins. Severely outnumbered, she was captured and taken to Soryin. He ordered her to make his goblins a series of potions and elixirs that would aid them in battle. He gave her the choice to do so or die, and so she has been doing his bidding ever since, but only her promise to her father has kept her in check.

Jackson Pye ((“Jumpin’ Jax” or simply “Jax”))
Age: 21
Hair: Red
Eyes: Blue
Height: 6’7”
Build: slim, lean skinny
Class: Acrobat/Storyteller
Weapons: Throwing knives, juggling bats, and balls
Character: “JAX” is the epitome of energy in motion and a nonstop talker once engaged. He has a tendency to blurt out inappropriate comments at the worst times. To make matters worse he is impatient and impulsive reacting before he has clearly thought things through. He has trouble sitting still for any length of time fidgeting or squirming until released from the captivity. Once in motion he is seen to be dashing around, touching or playing with everything in sight. This is where the secondary problem arises. Once Jax gets his hand on things they seem to navigate to his pockets if at all possible. A kleptomaniac, who cannot resist the urge to collect new items. Generally the items have little or no significant value but there are times when something rare and valuable is obtained. Most time he is not even aware he has committed the theft.

Age: 31
Hair: Blue-ish black
Eyes: Red
Height: 4'8"
Build: Muscular for a goblin but also lean
Class: Goblin Swordsman (Currently captain in the goblin army)
Weapons: short sword
Character: It is very unbecoming of goblins to show any sign of compassion or mercy for other creatures. Dronas is one of the few exceptions to his people. Although his mind is structured more around battles and wars but even the most savage of warrior races will grow tired of an endless life of bloodshed. Dronas, like many of his goblin kin, wish to live a peaceful life rather than be a race regarded as vile, monstrous, and evil. The young captain, young for a goblin at least, desires merely to show the world what his people have to offer as a proud warrior race. War and battles are merely a tip of what goblins can accomplish. Dronas is one of the more intelligent goblins among his people.
Bio: Dronas came from a long forgotten land called Shardpeak Isle. A place where such evil creatures live that mortal men could only dream of. The large land mass is mostly inhabited by goblins, which makes sense because they were driven out of most lands and to flee from one continent to another, and large black vicious wolves called worgs. Years pass by and the goblin population swells. Communities are formed all over the massive island.
Dronas quickly learned what it meant to have a strong sword arm and sharp wits in battle. Barbarian warriors from the Firestorm Tundra lands had sailed by boats and invaded Shardspeak Isle for their natural high density mineral deposits all over the land. Unprepared for the invasion, Dronas quickly rounded up the Shardpeak military and lead them to victory against the barbarian invaders. After their enemies retreated back to their homeland, Dronas proposed that it was time for the goblins to rise up and fight back against the other races that dare left a hand against them. Their armies swelled in numbers. Their vicious battle practices perfected.
Goblin soldiers salvaged battered up transport vessels left behind by their old enemies, the barbarian of Firestorm Tundra, and made repairs. War was about to visit the lands of these barbarians. Dronas lead the assault against the shore line outposts with great success. In a mere month of war, the barbarians requested a ceasefire so talks of peace could be discussed. In a tent is where the barbarian war chief Dagan and Dronas sat at a table. Both had much to offer one another and so an alliance was forged. Goblins would provide raw materials needed to build weapons, war machines, and other battle armaments while the barbarians provide goblins with food, medicines, and help in cultivating a land hardened by death and destruction.
Peace between the barbarians and goblins continued to hold. Their trust and bond with each other still holds to this day. However, goblins are never left unchecked for very long. A man dressed in darkly colored robes and sickly dark skin appeared with a request -- more like a demand -- and it was to serve him and great reward would be given to them. Later leaders of the goblins learned of this mysterious man's true motive -- to enslave them and conquer a land for himself to rule over. Soryin did force the goblins into submission by devouring the souls of the goblin tribal leaders. Doom seemed to creep upon the warrior race once more and Dronas stepped forward to save his people. Agreeing to Soryin's demands, they left Shardpeak Isle for southern Riv'nar. Life has never been the same for Dronas and his goblin kin.
