Pancake here!
Nice to meet you, FOG!
The name's Pancake and it's nice to find a board of your caliber. I didn't know there were any serious RP boards floating about the interwebs--I thought they might have all perished before I was old enough in my RPer breeches to join any of them. I see, however, that I was wrong!
I'm a high school student fighting the rough waters between childhood and adulthood, and trying my hardest to return to my RPing roots. You know, back in the days of groups and post-length requirements and posting in actual threads (I've fallen into lazy habits of role-playing with just one partner, please don't shoot, I promise the quality hasn't suffered). I generally RP fantasy or sci-fi, and usually don't honestly consider action or romance a genre (if it is pure romance, there's likely no plot, you know? I can be swayed otherwise, though). Generally, I prefer to incorporate these elements into other kinds of RPs instead.
I'm a writer, as you'll all find out, and tend to create too many characters whom I then actually do things with. This generally causes me to get caught up in a new project and completely ignore the old ones, hahaha. Anybody else have this problem?
There's not much about me that I can think of, at least nothing that won't come out after a while. I look forward to my stay here!

Hey Pancake! I am so glad you followed me here! You'll have fun ^^ trust me. Everyone here is loads of fun. I have that character issue myself... ehehe. Glad to have you and welcome to FOG. ^^
Re: Pancake here!
Haha. I was definitely just thinking "oh my god, Pancakes" when I first saw your name, and then I saw that your name was "Omega Pancakes"... And I laughed. Hard. Maybe for no reason.

Re: Pancake here!
hehe. that is pretty funny actually. But then again I might just be hyper off.... syrup!! no no.. cookies and muffins. I forgot I had those earlier on the other welcome post.o.0
Re: Pancake here!
Nice to meet you too, OmegaPancake! LOL your username is made of win, hehe. Well, welcome to FOG.
It's great to have another person interested in my in-depth/well-developed and well-written role-plays find us here. Those waters that you're trying to stay afloat in sure are some of the roughest, though I hope it won't be a huge struggle to get back into the swing of posting in role-plays in such. It's not a problem though if you prefer to role-play with just one other partner. If that's what you like, then there's nothing wrong with that!
I'm a huge fan of having a lot of characters for your stories. I think it makes it that much more interesting. (One of my all-time favorite TV shows was Buffy, and they had a plethora of characters with interesting relationships and histories, and I always liked that about it.) Oh, and yes! I also share that same problem with getting too caught up in new projects and disregarding or even abandoning old ideas altogether. XD It's a curse.
Well, it's great to meet you, and I really look forward to seeing more of you.

Re: Pancake here!
Hey, welcome aboard. 1-on-1 RP is part of the scene, basically, and I think it has huge advantages in requiring a person to be more creative and take more on themselves to make the RP work.
Lots of players here like 1-on-1 and I think it's as valid as any other type of RP (see above reasons.)
But I digress in trying to say, "Don't sweat it so much." Hope you find what you're after here, though.

Re: Pancake here!
^.^ Thank you guys for the warm reception, and I hope to make my membership here as long and prolific as I possibly can.
I see my username is well-received, haha. I like to think it fits my personality, what with me being--er...Spongey? Yes! Yes, I am spongey, or at least my personality is.
Hmm, I didn't mean to say that I disliked one-on-ones or even that I wanted to get away from them so much as I'd like to incorporate other RPing experience back into my repertoire of things I can say are under my belt. It's been a long time since I've done anything with a group, I've only just gotten back into the swing of things recently. It'll be nice to finally make friends with people at my own level.
It's wonderful to meet everyone, I hope I mesh well into the community, and thank you very much for the warm and lovely welcome. ^.^ I look forward to being here!

Yum! Pancakes!
::runs in and chomps down::

Sorry! Consider that my welcome, the bite marks will be a souvenir!

Re: Pancake here!
Why is it that I want to start every intro post with, "Helllllloooo gooood sirrrr!?" It makes me sound like an idiot. Whatever, let get on with this.
*from somewhere in the background* "MAKE-UP!"
Alright, we're on in 5... 4... 3... *mouths the words 2... 1...*
---
"Looks up from book. Hello, you may be wondering what we do here at FoG. Puts book down."
"Wave at the camera. It's quite simple really. We roleplay. In this instructional video, we'll explain to you- Point your finger- what roleplaying really is."
*director walks on screen* "Dio, what the hell are you doing, don't reading the ****ing cues. God damn it Cut. CUT CUT CUT!"
*Dio takes off his rubber red tie and throws it on the ground.* "Bob, wait. Wait Bob I. Aw screw it. Look at camera. Welcome to the boards! Bob come back!"

Re: Pancake here!
Dio, I am really starting to doubt your sanity after seeing your other welcome post.
Anyways, I know you Pancake I see you followed me, because I'm just that awesome.
Welcome to FOG.

Re: Pancake here!
My sanity should never be in question. It's clear I'm
Huh, imagine that. I type nuts into google with the safe search off, and no porno pictures of male genitalia (on the first page). I never cease to be amazed.
EDIT: Oh wait, unless you count a pair or replica nuts. I never cease to be amazed. O.o
EDIT EDIT: Huh, on closer examination, the first nut in the picture looks like a potato. I am defiantly not potatoes, that is a misrepresentation of my personality.

Re: Pancake here!
Ah, goodness, is biting to become the customary form of greeting among the internets? I can't decide if I want to join that movement or not. *looks at the chompy marks, sighs*
*snort* Thank you for the humorous, albeit cut-short introduction to the board, Dio. ^.^ It made me laugh.
o.o Meep, I unwittingly stalked you, Ragter. Ah, well, unwitting as it may have been, I do not doubt it was your awesomeness that pulled me in and decided my soul was good for eating.
(Don't worry, we're all nuts, it's just that some of us pretend to be something else sometimes.)

Welcome to FoG, OmegaPancake.
I really love your avatar. It amuses me to no end.
I am sure you will easily find your place within the depths of the FoG. If you don't... sucks to be you because you'll never find your way out. ^^_^^
