Character Sheet

Name: Everett

Nickname: “Soap” on the count that he is often found with oil smears on his face and clothing and is a sarcastic remark on his appearance.

Age: 22

Appearance:

Everett has a lean build that compliments his 6’ frame and has a light complexion. While not excessively muscular, he is in good shape thanks to the constant hands on work and rigorous lifting he has with his equipment. He wears a bullet proof vest underneath a thin, buttoned up grey collared shirt resembling a mechanic’s uniform. His black cargo pants are usually marked with oil stains as he uses them for item storage as much as he does a rag. He carries a brown leather utility belt, complete with a set of pouches; two on the front side of the hips and another two located at the small of the back. His fingernails are mostly filled with dirt regardless if he has his brown leather gloves on or not. The only things clean on him are his black leather steel toed combat boots that end at the shin.

Weapon: He has a variety of tools on his person that consist of the most mundane items such as wrenches, screwdrivers and a hammer. Besides the items that he uses to repair equipment, he carries a .44 magnum that he’s dubbed the Blackhawk. He’s customized it with a scope.

Class/Ranking: Encore // Tech

Personality: If the psychologists in the Slums weren’t pissed drunk most of the time they’d be able to determine that Everett shows strong signs of bi-polar affective disorder. He’s just as likely to have persistent mood swings ranging from episodes of guilt, isolation and anxiety attacks to the opposite end to an elevated irritable state. The swings are for the most part, suppressed and controlled by the constant work he puts on himself to expand his knowledge of mechanics by reading or tinkering around.

It might be that this disorder, while in the manic state, allows Everett to be at his most creative as his mind can race and set elevated achievements for himself as he stares at a schematic or a broken piece of equipment, allowing him to develop or modify designs.

His disorder has limited his interactions with most of the people he lives with in the Slums and for the most part, he accepts his condition as an extension of his natural self. It unintentionally selects which people he considers actual friends, those who see past his mood swings from those that are repulsed by his constant difficulty to relate to.

History: His parents were active members of a NA research group that splintered off from a project that involved studying the human genome and creating modifications to genetic strands that allowed for a series of mutations to occur. Morally at their wits ends, his parents and a few other geneticists left mid-way and left the project unfinished as they fled the city limits of Krew. On the outskirts of the city, they group had found a secluded settlement from which they were accepted by its people and began a new life for themselves. Six months later, Everett was born into a semi-peaceful life that involved harvesting agriculture and fighting off raider attacks from the lawless men and women of the wasteland.
As fate would have it, their fairytale life would be cut short four years later as a raider camp tore through their settlement and captured the settlers and sold them to the NA as slaves in exchange for money. Upon the discovery that Everett’s parents were escaped NA workers they were executed for treason and young Everett was forced to grow up with the fellow captives at an armament camp.

The camp served as the foundation that engrained Everett with the skills of handling gunpowder and ammunition as he worked the conveyer belt assembling parts after they had been manufactured at another wing within the camp. His spare time consisted of scavenging through dumpsters for the treasure of any malfunctioning electrical equipment that was disposed of. He would spend hours awake after lights out, quietly breaking down components and reassembling them.

At age 9, the camp was liberated by a raid from members of the Encore; prisoners were freed and offered refuge within the Slums to those who were old enough to make the decision for them. All children were claimed who had no rightful parents and were brought directly to be cared for in the Slums.

Now at 22 years of age, Everett has found stability, safety and a purpose to avenge not only his parents’ but all of the lives that the NA has affected.

One time, this guy powerplayed my character into having this shocked look on his face and going, "Oh my god, what was that?" My next post basically said, "No he didn't, he punched you in the face five times, ripped your balls off, stuffed them up your left nostril, and strangled you with a live power cable."

Surprisingly enough, I think the point went home.

Character Sheet:

Name: Darius Corban

Age: 20

Appearance: Fair skinned, short blond hair, and blue eyed. Darius appears every inch the blue-blood high-born he in fact is. Tall and lanky and somewhat frail of figure (6'1'', 165 lbs), his plain features and mild-manner prevent him from standing out in most crowds. High cheekbones and somewhat severe features are softened by a flawless complexion paled to porcelain, as if the sun itself rarely lands on bare skin. Clothing is rugged and functional with pocket-stuffed cargoes and thick combat boots protecting his legs and feet. An expensive jacket boasts micro-fiber armor weave for basic protection against impact trauma, while a polarized visor always rests over his pale eyes.

Weapon: Two 9mm Spitfire Auto-pistols. Prone to jamming and difficult to repair, the weapons are nevertheless light enough to dual-wield and are capable of emptying their eighteen round clips in under three seconds. Of course, Darius' skill demands a 'spray-and-pray' approach to fire fights.

Class/Ranking: EN, Ghost

Personality: Quite down to earth and grounded, with a surprising amount of mental clarity for a Ghost. Always one to look well before he leaps, the kid's attentions to minute and minor details rivals the nit-picking standards of most OCD plan-packers. This leaves him calm and collected in almost any situation to the point of being laconic and apathetic. Dont be fooled, a sense of humor sits in there somewhere. Deep inside.... Deeeeeeeep.

History: As opposed to most slum-born Ghosts of similar ability, Darius' family hails from Krew's upper crusts. His parents were both loyal and well-influenced supporters of NA's activities, his father an established business-owner and his mother a public official. Darius himself was really quite normal. Average student, no record's of delinquency, and an utterly bland report about any natural aptitude for skilled tasks. Then puberty hit, and it all went to shit. Darius' superhuman abilities began to manifest in swift and powerful ways, and it was impossible to hide the boys budding abilities from the NA's eyes. What started as an effort to recruit the boy into the NA's organized ranks dissolved into violence and disorder; his parent's reluctance to encourage their son's 'unnatural arts' was viewed as dissent ion by harsh para-military officials, and both were targeted to be removed as obstacles. Agents ruthlessly killed both mother and father in a single night raid to snatch the young man, but Darius managed to not only evade capture but did so with much of his family's assets intact. These resources were hidden throughoutt the city and now help fund his bid to punish those responsible. Encore offered the perfect opportunity, and even more so he found a surprising kinship with their goals and efforts after being welcomed within their specialized ranks of Ghost operatives. He stays there now, always eager to offer his special skills for the cause.

Ghost Ability/Side Effect: Conduction. Darius can focus his will to reach into and concentrate the myriad electrical impulses and residuals of Krew and bring them to bear as he sees fit. Anything from open ports to left-over static discharge can be called and controlled, and such surges can be cast about his body or even thrown short distances to strike multiple nearby targets'. Of course, controlling such things always unbalances the natural electrical activity of his poor changed brain. Epileptic seizures and sensory loss is quite normal, and the severity of such attacks hinges on the boys dependency on his power.

Kail: You request to ride solo. I'll have you a side character to bring a little action into the story as you do your travel to the edge of the Slums.

Lyric (assassin) + Everett (tech) + Darius (ghost)

Vasha (ghost) + Abel (EN General)

Brick(assassin) // solo

Claus (thief) + Muse (ghost)

I tried to pair each person up with someone who wasn't in the same class.
Also, I paired the Tech up with a pair of two because the Tech is not a main fighter.
