Bonjour, I've got a jar of dirt.
And it's mine.
Well. If the forum didn't say it all, then the topic title does. I EXIST! :medievalfight: I've been recruited from RolePlayGateway, and figured it might be time for a wee debut.
Now that I've said my spiel, I'm not to sure what else is necessary. I mean, it'll be at least a few months before I'll have the time to start a topic or join one here-- really, I suppose that all I'm doing it chucking my hat out for the sake of it.
Okay, this still looks a bit empty. So I'll be a vain fool and talk about myself.
Alacer is what I go by-- the full username means 'quick ghost', which is entirely coincidental (it's my long-time internet name) and had no connection with FOG (other than, perhaps, potential pre-ordinance). I enjoy the company of animals, as many do, and ride horses as often as I may (generally, it's every Sunday during the school year, whereas the summer is erratic). My word-smithy is sub-par at best, as you fine folks will see in full glory, come future RPs. As far as hobbies go, I enjoy biking and running, gardening, reading, homeopathy (and all that spiritual mush, 'cause I'm a hippie at heart), arts and anything that could be vaguely clasified as art, pursuing biological sciences, etcetera.
Geez, that's too much about me. I'm cutting it short now before it turns into the biographical works of the next reality-show bigot. See ya for now!

Welcome to FOG, Alacer!
I love animals~. I think it's cool that you're able to ride horses so much! I've only ever ridden one once, and I don't think that's enough time to get comfortable with riding them, so I didn't get the full experience out of it...

*snaps fingers* Oh, dagnabbit, now that's just not cool. But hey, at least you've had the experience last enough for a memory-- it's something worth keeping, neh? And thanks for the howdy. 'Tis always a pleasure to have the first caller be an ardent appreciator of critters. *glances about* This is a much spiffier place than RPG, I must admit... *settles into convenient beanie chair*

Hmmmmm. . . . After lurking around for a bit I've decieded you seem like an interesting person. And, yes, this place is different from RPG in the best possible way.
Be careful, we have a few loonies running about. I'm not one of the by the way. ::Shifty eyes::

Welcome... to the FOG!! ^_^
I just recently got recruited here myself, from GaiaOnline.
There is literacy to be found among the mists...
And adventure...
*GRA HA HA HA HA HAAA*

Edit:
Oh wow, I didn't even notice what Inerio said about the loonies around here.
I guess I'm one to watch out for. Gleheheheh.

Hey, Alacer! It's great to finally meet you. I love your name. I knew that Phasmatis meant ghost in Latin, since that's actually something I named a species awhile back ago, hehe.
So do you own your own horse? I'd love to go riding! I'm envious.

Hey there, Alacer!
Welcome to FOG! It's a great sight to find new friends and new role-plays! Make sure to go over the rules and guidelines just to make sure you have everything down! I wish you good luck and I'm sure that I will see you around!!!

*bows to Fate**waves to Lunar* And the rules will be promptly hammered down in a minute.
Yeah, I thought that I might as well lay a foundation for future visits (I've got a mental image going of those construction sites where they dig the trench for the house, run out of finances, come bac with more $$$ to build supports and the like, run out of money again, and come back a third time to finish the job). *bounces on heels* It'll be fun sinking cyber-teeth into this cozy place. Best sandwich ever.
Alas, I don't have a horse of my own, but rather, I use the stable's school horses or private horses whose owners are willing to trust in another's hands. The bit about Phasmatis is cool, I've got to say.
So far, my favorite thing about FOG is the array of animated smileys. They're an army!

Welcome to FoG, Alacer. I like your name. Isn't Latin supposed to go noun - adjective like Spanish, or is it like English where the adjective is first? I guess it doesn't really matter. It's still a neat name no matter what.
I hope you enjoy your stay here, ^^_^^

I want a jar of dirt.... But hey! Welcome, Alacer. (I like the smileys too, even though I'll probably only use the basic ones.)

Re: Bonjour, I've got a jar of dirt.
Yup, Latin does indeed go noun-adjective, like Irish (the way I remember that is thinking "In Hades Rotis", from a sign on the Latin teacher's door [mind you, I don't take the course]). However, It was intended to be an alias, and quite frankly, Phasmatis Alacer really didn't cut it. Then my name would be 'Phas', which is acceptable but strange.
OMG, brains of moose! O.o That would take the cake for gags to pull on a zombie. The poor creature would be about to start munching, and then realize with a plummet of its undead heart, 'oh... hang on... this-- this isn't brains. '

Re: Bonjour, I've got a jar of dirt.
Technically, in poetry you could place adjective before the noun. Then again, poetry in latin is pretty crazy and you can re-arrange the words in nearly every possible way...
Wait a second...! *gasps* Alaceeeeer!! My Alaceeeer!! There you are!

De rien, Alacer. And thank you - he's just a bit representative of how I feel most days.
And let me just add the avatar you've chosen is magnificent - there are few things more graceful or majestic, than a horse in motion.

Ugh, no, I'm bad enough at wielding a foil, let alone chucking knives. >.<
Teach me thy ways, Adrius?
HEDYA! *tackle-hug* My linguistically superior, incredibly gifted woman of a thousand tongues! Lol, such a wonderful entrance. I'll be sure to remember that tidbit. *hug*
Thanks, Igraine, I love how you described the Arab picture; it echoes my own feelings regarding equines, so it's touching to see another express the same so well. You know, I've just noticed that our avatars are inverses in interesting fashions. For instance, you sport a black wolf on a light, snowy background, and my horse is a flea-bitten grey rising out of black. Then there's the antagonistic, I'm-looking-at-YOU growl to the calmly turned head, y'know? Not to mention the whole carnivore-leaning omnivore vs. herbivore. Ain't that uncanny?

Gotchya. I figured you either did it because you mistook the grammatical rules of another language, or you did it on purpose for an alias.
Why is it flea bitten? ^;_;^

'Cause it ain't dappled! Lol, flea-bitten is just a term for the color/pattern the Arab has, like cremello or bay. The full-sized image shows him off a sight better. The little grey spots are like larger scabby patches that fleas sometimes cause, hence flea-bitten.
