Before we get to any serious conversation about THE GREATEST SPORT ON EARTH(!!!), I think we need to pause and appreciate the GREATEST PLAYER ON EARTH!!! for a moment.

If you saw that and said, "Wait a minute, Cristiano Ronaldo is the greatest," you need to, in the words of Ray Hudson, "Gait oot." (Correct answer: It's Lionel Messi.)

Just kidding.

This is the place to discuss the beautiful game on here, because there's at least one other hopelessly addicted fan in here and we need a place where we can agonize together (particularly as the 2009/2010 Arsenal season draws closer and we gird ourselves for the pain.)
