Synopsis

It's 1867, the war is over, the negroes emancipated, and everyone is heading out west. The first transcontinental railroad runs fresh through Cheyenne, Dakota territory, a boomtown of almost ten thousand people. The town of Cheyenne is full of people of every shape, color, size and station of wealth.

Nearby trading natives include the Crow and Wind River Shoshone. Other natives nearby include the Cheyenne and Arapaho, both of which had been brutally attacked by the governor of Colorado (The southern plains war/Sand Creek Massacre). The Ute are currently involved in the Black Hawk War.

A group of ex-confederate soldiers have been moving out west, preying upon farms, small boom towns, natives and newly freed men. They have left a trail of despair behind them, and more than one note of revenge.

Chepi lives in northern Wyoming in relative peace with her father and sister. Her mother died giving birth to her young brother, who did not live past two years. Her sister just gave birth to her first son, who has yet to be named. Her early experiences with the white men have been in trade, though stories have been told of them being a dangerous creature. She learned some of their language when she was younger, after helping some sick travelers. In later years, the Crow began plundering the white man, though they would not go so low as kill them (unless in battle). She has no experience with weaponry, but can easily survive on the land like all of her people.

Dwight Hutchins
Age, 27
Scottish(Second Generation)
‘Missionary’
Dwight is from the South, although he never really specifies where exactly. The only family he ever speaks of is his deceased grandfather, Warren Hutchins, who taught him the ways of the world. Dwight was in Mexico for the duration of the Civil War, apparently doing missionary work in the foreign lands. For a man of the faith, he possesses a disturbing number of guns and seems more than capable in their use.

Robert Owens
Age, 31
Captain, Hospital Owner
Robert Owens was a Captain of the Confederates with a sense of self-righteous conviction. He was held in higher regard by those who served with him than most commanding officers over them. Those who were not allies were subject to great horrors for refusing to take the proper side. At the end of the war, Robert became a successful businessman. Prosperous land and a series of investments earned wealth, which he used to open a successful hospital. For a time after the war's official end, some of his men felt betrayed and disgusted by the surrender took it upon themselves and their armed status to go and impose some 'justice' of their own. Using some of his wealth and a simple matter of going for 'horse-rides'... and Mr. Owens and his group were on the move again, commiting horrors of the wartime past. These raids endured only so long before the numbers dwindled. Most of the men died, or eventually got the 'fire' out of their system and began to settle down themselves. Robert had raped, pillaged, drank and fought with the best of them; but now it was time to settle down. He became a well liked man, well established, well respected... and able to get away with a consequence-free wartime haze that he could be killed for nowadays.

GC, I know I said I was gonna get her to town, but it took me forever just to write this little bit, so I thought I'd wait until the next round to get her to town and have her run in with Agraciana and all that.

Chepi is turning out a bit more like Dwight than I thought.
