Mecha rp?

Hello, RES here! Since Forsaken Wolves is on another hiatus right now, I'm interested in a sort of Mecha type rp.
Seen any of these shows?
Any of the Gundam series?
Rayearth?
Zoids?
lol Big O? lol
Those are just examples of the kind of mecha I'm going for, only the machines will have differing degree of Artificial Intelligence. So in some cases, our characters can communicate or even bond with our chosen forms of machines.
I haven't decided what form to make them or give them as an option (big tall machine man, machine animal or mini talkative gadget) but they will be weapons.
The basic plot will be the world has been battling against telepathic creatures in space for centuries (Creatures/enemy in general is subject to change) and the circle of hatred is too deep and blinding for almost everyone to overcome. But there is the slight possibility of someone actually trying to understand these strange beings and why they are fighting us that could give us an edge to ending the war. There is also the possibility of a third and fourth party behind the creatures, pulling their strings.

Aww aliens...I like aliens but I love mecha too. Can I do both? Evangelion style and actually side with the aliens for this rp to keep it interesting instead of fighting on one side?
