A lackluster hello!

Hello!

I was recommended to this site by a friend of mine, and I must say, it's very professional looking, so great job to the designer(s).

Anyways, I've been RPing on another site for somewhere around five years now I think; however, the past couple years have been dreadful and more of a chore (especially since I began to moderate it) than I'd like writing to be.

I'm told I'm a great writer (although personally I believe I'm good, but not great), and I've also been told that I capture a character's emotions well. Genre-wise I'll do just about anything, but I've felt myself leaning toward a steampunk kind of writing lately.

While I'm still lurking about, I hope to start writing with you guys soon, as well as getting to know you!

Thanks for the compliment on the design here. We actually just updated it, and most all the thanks goes to Axiom Awaits. ^_^

In my experience, we're all usually better writers than we give ourselves credit for (at least those of us without the massive egos lol), since more often than not, we're our own worst critics. It's great that you're skilled at capturing the emotions of characters, since that's something I know can be quite difficult for some writers, and steampunk writing is fantastic!

SoB pretty much has fallen apart, seeing as how the only people who really post there now are old members who have been gone for two or three years, only recently showing up, and still being subpar at pretty much everything. It's just not what it used to be.

I agree with that. The place used to be amazing. Though, for the last like, 2 years, it's felt like it's just trying to hold onto what life it USED to have. Kind of depressing in the end but hey, when it comes down to it, the only people who can save it are us. The old members.
