While the expenses of running the FoG message board are not outrageous, they are, nevertheless, expenses that come out of pocket from myself personally. At this point in my life, I currently am struggling with finances and bills, and therefore I have decided to open up donations here at FoG. Donating is completely and entirely optional and is merely something we are allowing members to do if they have any spare change they wouldn't mind sharing. There is no pressure for anyone to donate if they do not want to or of course cannot, but the choice to is now there.

As an added bonus to you, if you decide to donate $3 or more, you will be granted the Guardian Ghost rank here at FoG and a slightly colored username to go along with it. Make sure you PM an Administrator afterward, so they know to change your rank.

Wow, thank you guys! That was incredibly generous of you both. That definitely helped pay off some of the ad blocking I recently renewed here.

Loki and Digital Muse, I updated you both to be members of the group Guardian Ghosts. However, Loki, since you are a moderator, your username will still be in red, and your ghost icons will be the same. I can't change that unless I remove you from the moderator group, so I apologize for that, but I hope you understand. I should say that all staff members must keep their staff colors and icons.

How much are hosting costs per year for the domain name?

The cost of the domain name alone is $23.76 (at least it was the last time I checked). It's a strange amount, and it tends to fluctuate. EDIT: No, I take that back. It is down to $17.61 now, so not at bad. With all the costs combined, it is around $50 a year. (This includes the domain name, the removal of ads, and the removal of the Forumotion copyrights at the bottom.)

Actually, if it was completely possible to transfer the database (member names, passwords, and posts) then... YES. I am willing and prepared to do so. Alas, Forumotion is too stuck up to offer a database transfer... either that, or their technicians just don't know how... I'm going with the latter on this one.
