I like RPs with elements of scifi, fantasy, supernatural, etc. Altered reality, nothing crazy, just different enough to be interesting. However, as far as style and plot goes, the more unique the better. And I like my plots character-driven. Not stirred.

Faulkner and Camus are cool because I like to pretend to be sophisticated. I'm tackling David Foster Wallace's Infinite Jest this summer for the same reason. I hope to be crazy good like them someday. I like reciting and analyzing poetry (contemporary is my fave), but not writing it - I'm more of a prose kind of girl.

Anyhoo, there's a little literary snippet of my life. I'm excited to work and play with you guys!

I do have one problem: I'm trying to get a profile picture and siggy up, but my profile won't take any of the photobucket links. Help! Thanks.

In order to display a picture in your main profile or your signature block, you will need to use BBCode. That tags [img][/img] should be wrapped around the URL address of the image. Photobucket URLs should definitely work, but you might be copying the wrong code needed. Photobucket offers four different codes; and one of them is already built with the [img] tags needed for forum boards. Click on that code to instantly copy it to your clipboad and then paste it were you need it.

The profile pic field in your main profile will support BBC tags; and so will your signature. To display an avatar, simply upload the image you want, or copy the link to the image from another URL. The "Upload from off-site" field will transfer the image to FoG's hosting for a little more reliability; or, if the external host is faster, you can leave the image hosted over there by using the other field.
