I was thinking about doing an RP featuring hypocritical thieves (like good guys doing bad things) and the such. Its more like a drama about the lives of a friends and foes - fighting for love, territory, pride, and self-satisfaction.

Modern day would be the era, with a New York City-type setting. Basically each player would chose a "class" (listed below this description) and develop their character from the beginning, revealing their past and future intentions as the story progresses to one ultimate result of a famous thief betraying those of his inner circle to the authorities. Whether or not his ring leader is killed, arrested, or allowed grace is up to you (to be determined by each character rolling dice).

Dice will also be used frequently in the game to determine whether or not your steal-attempts are successful or if they fail. This should add some intrigue to the game as characters will have to think on their feet if they get an unexpected result.

So here are the classes for your characters:

Techie- Techies rely on state-of-the-art gadgetry to bypass both simple and complex security systems and hack their way into bank accounts, checkpoints, and even grand vaults. They can also use their gadgets as special stealth tools, or even use some to incapacitate security personnel and others.

Cat Burglar- Cat Burglars possess the best stealth capabilities and are able to sneak their way in and out of sticky areas without tipping off even the best security measures to their presence. Mostly using heights and shadows as cover they can remain undetected for long periods of time and possess utmost patience during missions. They are also nimble and quick.

Con-Artist- Cons are primarily the dominant class in the city. They are everywhere on the street and possess the capability to impersonate others. With a limitless amount of disguises, counterfeit currencies, and the snazziest collections of neck-ties, these sleuths can talk their way out of any situation and offer a great distraction for their friends of other classes to get in and get out with the package. However, can you really trust them? No honor among thieves right?

Corrupt Cop- These guys don't deserve to flash that badge. The police force isn't as honorable as they used to be a decade ago. With the decline of the economy, desperate times call for desperate measures. Several guardians of the law have both bought and sold illegal products on the black market and have even helped other classes get what they want for a price. With direct access to the city's police arsenal and ammunition, they can easily own the streets.

Thug- Whether a gang member or apart of the mafia, you are demand one thing: respect. Thus roam the streets, collecting protection fees and other goodies for their bosses and "family" members. Guns, knives, and bling (check it, dog XD ) is at your disposal. With easy access to your gang's/mafia's wealth reserves you can buy your way out of messes, or just take the fun way out and beat the *&^! out of someone. You are, however, bound by one thing: honor.

Hope someone's interested. Post here if you are and I'll create an OOC thread for character profiles.
