Larping/Battle Gaming

[Hello Danger]

(LARP) live action role-playing.

(Battle Gaming) a lot like larping, minus the role-play, and more just beating the piss out of each other with foamed weapons.


Anyone mess around with either? I just started battle gaming two weeks ago, and I must admit its some of the most fun I've had in a while. Just thought it would be cool to talk to some fellow FOGer's who might do it too.

I've always wanted to get into both but really don't know where to find a group to get into that kind of thing since I can't really just gather up my friends and do it with them.

I suggest looking on facebook. Most clans have a group page. Search for a clan in your area and send the group leader a message. Most clans have open practices, as in people off the street can just walk up and ask to play (I've seen it happen). I kind of just got lucky, and knew someone.

Sort of, but not in any official sort of way. My brothers and I are just geeks like that.

Well in the sense of what Ryona's done... yeah I've done that with my brother and one of my friends... but it was with nerf swords and after a while it turns into seriously wanting to hurt each other.... >.>

I will take the facebook thing into consideration. It would be interesting to find some groups near by.

Never really something I've done, but I don't really have time for it at the present. Besides, it's not really widespread where I live and there's only one or two groups that I know of.
