For any who wish to join this RP, I ask that you read Machine Flower before applying so that you have a thorough understanding of the world which this RP is derived from. The comic isn’t long and it won’t take much time to read; plus it is excellent in both story and design.

World Space:
In the United States of America, a catastrophic terrorist attack inspired the nation to elect a strict conservative government into power. Since then, the U.S. has enjoyed peace and prosperity. Indeed, the country recovered beautifully from its suffering and has grown into a shining utopia straight out of a 1950s television set.

To ensure lasting peace, the military is constantly developing new weapons to fight the threats from overseas. A New Jersey pharmaceutical company, Acacia Technologies, was contracted several years ago to assist in the development of genetically-engineered weapons, super-soldiers raised from childhood who would be capable of entering enemy territory with maximum stealth to execute attacks of inhuman proportion.

This project is called the Machine Flower Project.

Story:
Life is business as usual within the secret government facility as the various Subjects undergo daily testing and treatments. The opinions among the Subjects regarding their life under a microscope varies and tensions between the Failures and Successes are only a hint towards the thoughts of the scientists that run their lives. It isn't until a reoccurring vision from the unit's Athenian sparks an unease that only grows as the facility personnel brushes off the concern with uncharacteristic apathy. There is a lot the researchers keep hidden from their test subjects, but some secrets are far more menacing that either realize.

Personality: Subject 7-01 is among the oldest of his unit and has a maturity to go along with it. Rational and logical, he most often plays the role of mediator, pacifier, and negotiator in any conflict regardless of whether he was involved to begin with. Even before he passed the Athenian procedure, One was always eager to make friends of those around him; a trait that was greatly magnified after the procedure with the understanding of the strategic value behind having additional allies.
Initial Opinion of Administration: Although their methods are harsh, they are necessary to keep Subjects from bringing harm upon themselves or one another.

Personality: Three is the loudest member of her unit. She speaks her mind, and holds nothing back; no matter who she might be talking to. She’s obnoxious, crass, and vulgar. She’s the first to challenge anything, and seems to constantly be looking for a fight. Combining all of this, she’s not the easiest person to get along with. Though she butts heads with nearly everyone on her unit, she does care for them. For the most part. She has cultivated this rough and tough survivor attitude to disguise the fact that she is emotionally scarred by the testing; and often suffers from terrible nightmares.

Personality: Uriel has never been one for getting riled. He is calm, relaxed, and completely at ease with whatever is going on. Never one to panic, get angry, or even get excited over anything, you will often see him entering a conversation with nothing more than a nod, or smartass remark to something that was previously said. While normally held back in all regards, he sees the other subjects as family, whether or not they see him as one as well doesn't matter to him. Normally he is with at least one other subject, and rarely alone even if he doesn't speak that much. The administration, to him, is simply something trying to get his blood pressure to rise, and often times will simply ignore any given instruction unless his life depends on it. The administration has picked up on this.
Initial Opinion of Administration: "The administration? I care nothing for them. They hide behind their barriers of glass, pretending like they are the ones in control. They fear us, and they use their way of fake dominance to seem like we are the underlings; the pathetic little test tube tikes. When was the last time you saw a scientist punch through a wall, or shoot lightning from their fingertips? So, do I like them? No. Do I hate them? No. Do I care what happens to them...No." Subject 7-4's statement to psych analysis team.

Personality: Nine doesn't have her own personality anymore, at least that's what she tells those who ask. Having the ability to look like anyone you want, to change constantly. Plus the expieriment's, the stress of it all. She floats between different personalities often. Each one seems to come with it's own looks. When she is actually "herself" she's rather muted, having her personality called as exciting as a brick.
Initial Opinion of Administration: Doesn't have much of an opinion anymore, was once rebelious one towards them. Now she just nods, and goes along with what they say. A lot of her desire to fight against the Administration left her a few years ago. Though, there is the desire buried down inside to be free.

Personality: Allie is very slow to trust anyone. She used to trust the researchers, but after her experiment went awry and she was labelled a failure… that trust was lost. She wasn't just a failure, she was a catastrophe. The procedure caused multiple internal organs to fail-- most of the augmentations she received were solely to recover from that procedure, and even so it left her with recurring pain in her left shoulder that seems to flare up in high-stress situations. They keep her fairly medicated to cope with it. On some level, she still blames them, even though she knows they didn't intend it, even though she knows that she is but one of many failures. The only people she really feels close to now are the other members of her unit, and not even all of those. Her only real passion-- rather, her only passion that the researchers permitted her to pursue-- is violence. The thrill of combat makes her feel more alive, and she can almost forget all she has lost, all the researchers have taken.
Initial Opinion of Administration: What administration? For administrators, they don't do a whole lot of administrating. Don't believe their crap. They're just highly paid jailers.

Age: 20, although some lingering effects of Hadesian contact make him appear older than he really is.

Personality: 7-05’s mind and focus never really seem to be in the same place as his body. His thoughts are prone to wander, often attempting to decipher the location of the others of his unit. Very few people have the ability to snap him out of this dreamlike state, the most predominant being One and Three. He cares little of the well being of his own body, although he seems to possess an almost sixth sense about the physical, and mental, conditions of the other subjects. This often equates to the more turbulent members, Three being most prominent, having Five as their shadow, a very unwanted guardian angel.
Initial Opinion of Administration: Five is generally indifferent towards the Administration, although he dislikes when his fellow subjects are hurt by them.

Personality: Six is a very manipulative person. She really has no qualms with manipulating people into doing what she wants with them. In fact, at this point it is almost second nature. Honestly, most people are little more than tools to her. This was bred not just from her powers, but as a sort of defense mechanism for the constant experimentation. If Six viewed the other Subjects as tools she could manipulate, she could deal with the experimentation. While the experiments made her feel powerless and weak, manipulating the other Subjects made her feel as if she were in control of something, instead of simply being at the utter mercy of the scientists.
Initial Opinion of Administration: "They are a necessary evil. Their methods may be horrible, but someone has to keep a large group of superweapons in check. The world would be much shittier if some of the others were let loose."

Favor: Is proud to say she bounces from one to the other quite often. Very much on purpose, but as of right now she sits very firmly in success.
Personality: Once a very bright happy young girl, the woman before the Administration now is shaky, cynical, manipulative and dangerous both to herself and her team. Her attitude varies on if she's had her fix. When on the drugs, 7 is always trying to be in the company of others. She craves contact of every kind from any people in her range as he relief of being with people without the chorus of voices is a treat she never takes lightly. However do not let those needs give you the impression of kindness or sensitivity. She sees everyone around her as toys for her pleasure and finds great joy in prying open old wounds or unwanted feeling from others. When off the drugs her powers are great and she collects all the information at a rabid pace, an addiction all itself. 7 takes all the information she can, even those of her team mates and locks them away for her use later on. Seems to be in a bit of a power struggle with 2-06, "for the title of queen bitch" as 7 puts it.
Initial Opinion of Administration: Long as they provide me with toys and drugs, I will gladly do what they want.

Personality: Two has embraced his situation as though his abilities were a gift from a higher power. It has come to a point where they are what defines his existence, to prove to the staff what he is capable of while at the same time displaying his readiness for fieldwork. As such, he has an inflated ego that instills a sense of ultimate superiority among the Failures while viewing his fellow successes as equals. It is a rarity for Two to be anything but serious with every aspect of his life, having a tendency towards isolating himself from the other Subjects though feels obligated to socialize regularly.
Initial Opinion of Administration: They granted us the abilities to do amazing things. Things that normal humans can only dream about. If it means we need to be lab rats for a few years, that is just the price that must be paid. I have no doubt that the day will come where we will be released from the facility to be of use to the government who created us. They're too intelligent to let such potential go to waste.

Personality: Ten is a sweet girl, if a little shy towards new people. She’s friendly with the members of her unit, although she has difficulty speaking against them, feeling inferior due to her lack of any sort of ability. She’s eagerly awaiting the day she finally gets to undergo her tests and fully join her unit as a useful member, instead of just a dead-weight.

Personality: Once one of the great technological prodigies in the world the Administration did not waste anytime in beginning his transformation to a Hephaestian. As a child Jayne was more than pleased by becoming more computer than man but in the following years that has changed. The feeling of grass, wind and water has almost all but been forgotten from his mind and it is driving him mad. Once a favorite of the Administration, his slow decent into the obsession of feeling again has caused them to move him from success to failure.
Initial Opinion of Administration: They can go to hell. I signed up and accepted losing my body. But they want my humanity. They can't, and will never have it.

Shadow and I know what to do.

Plague and chain, it is a chance to lay the foundation for the relationship between a peaceful Apollonian and an aggressive Hadesian.

Quaker and Squall, the Tandem Hacking test basically consists of this. There is an unpowered server farm, which Four must supply power to in order to allow Eight to break into it to find the heavily secured needle in a massive hay stack. Problem is that it requires a lot of control over the amount of power going into it. Too much risks frying the delicate circuitry, potentially hurting Eight. Too little slows down Eight's progress, if not severing the connection which is a disorienting sensation to the hacker.

Unit 2's IC is now up.

First round to introduce your character and display their personality during breakfast. Feel free to use the non-claimed subject numbers as NPCs, though don't go into their types. Most will be Failures.

Six and Seven's exercise consists of Six being told a code phrase which Seven is to try and extract. Six is to use her power to try and coax Seven to stop or otherwise convince him that a false code phrase is actually the correct one.

Two and Nine's exercise consists of a room full of random people moving around as if in a crowded urban environment. Nine is to try to hide from Two in said group until the time limit expires. Nine can shift forms as he pleases to avoid detection from the skilled hunter.
