Hello, all!

A bit about myself, I suppose...

My name is Nick. I'm twenty-three and live in North Florida. I used to be a student studying for a degree in Computer Science, but that slowly fell through as I realized that the world did not in fact run on rainbows and butterflies and that I would need money to continue my education. Thus, I embarked on a long, toilsome journey to find employment. Success! I have a job that I believe I will fully enjoy (to the extent that one can truly enjoy a job these days). I shall be assisting customers of an Internet Service Provider via Live-Chat with Technical Support. Grand, isn't it?

I enjoy reading, writing, and computer programming, as well as website and graphic design. I play World of Warcraft. Maybe I should have left that one out. Oh, well. Anyway, I spend a vast majority of my time sitting right here, in front of a computer. I've role-played on various other forums, but probably only one worth mentioning - RPGForumsOnline.com. I eventually lost interest due to the... well, just general immaturity that seemed to plague the place. Not necessarily in the sense of acting childish, but really the level of writing and originality was mediocre - at best. I was tired of seeing, "AMG YET ANOTHER POKEMONZ RP LAWL," or even, "AMG ZOMBIES WITH SUPER MUTANT POWERS RIP UR FACE OFFZ LAWL." You know. That stuff.

I've rambled, oh my. I swore to make this quick and short!

I hope to see you all around the forums! I'm at work right now, so of course, I shall be spending my time wisely and browsing the RPG section! Hopefully I'll find a game I can wiggle myself into.

OH! One more thing, or two. I really, really love the theme here. The dark layout, the font, all of it! Secondly, I just wanted to give a quick thanks to those responsible for creating such a site. It's nice to find a mature community to get my creative juices flowing!

Were the nice kind of elitists, the ones who focus on excellence rather than superiority complexes. As I like to say, we're the eliterate.
I think you'll find what you're looking for here, and I don't say that lightly. I came over here from GaiaOnline.com, and even though there was some quality over there if you looked hard enough, it was just too few and far between. It's better here, in a close community dedicated to serious (seriously epic! xD) writing.

Also, tech support via chat sounds fun! If I was a techy, I'd probably enjoy it. I wonder if they have English Usage & Grammar support via live-chat... I would pounce. xD

Anyway, it's great to meet you, Nikolis! Do enjoy your exploration of the site. We've got a FAQ up there, and if you have any other questions I hope you'll feel welcome to ask them all. Here in your intro thread is a good place, while we're getting to know you anyway.

Now, don't be discouraged by such senseless... well I call it joking, others call it symptoms of a mental illness, although it barely matters. The point is we are mature (when we have to), yet somewhat completely crazy. I do hope you enjoy that!

Aaaaaaand you play WoW, so obviously you are cool. You should check out the 'What are you playing?' thread in... Entertainment, I think, and post your realm and character. WoW is always a good way to start to get to know the other person.

Welcome to the boards, Nikolis! I, too, love the layout here And the people. I tried leaving for a while to focus on some real-life stuff...but I couldn't make myself stay away forever. Hopefully you enjoy your time here as much as the rest of us!

Welcome to FoG, Nikolis! You're definitely in the right place for high-quality role-playing. I too have been dismayed by the lack of quality on other sites, but FoG has never ceased to amaze me. As for your fellow FoGgers, well, we may be crazy at times, but it's all in good fun. We may nibble on your soul from time to time, but only after the appropriate amount of SoulHaunting and SoulScaring. We've unfortunately had some breaches in protocol in the past, but our Discipline and Human Resources Department quickly straightened out the issue.

Upon reading your first post, I am convinced I have an RP just for you. It is titled:

Super Mutant Pokemon Zombie AMG Fighters Super Friends Plus LAWL Super Lawl

We play Super Mutant Pokefriends (Not like the ninja turtles, that idea was so lame. I can't really see it making any money) and we fight the super zombies. Some of the pokemans have been bitten by the zombies, and are now Super Mutant Super Zombies, and are really strong but it is also sad. The story is really heart breaking right now as Squirtizard (that's a squirtle combined with a charizard because of inbreeding) is now a Super Zombie and has to fight his friends because he doesn't know any better and also has water fire zombie breathe that brings people back from the dead instead of killing them.
