I bought it at the annual Anime and Video Game convention in my city, cost me $150. And yeah, it's DAMN heavy. Seriously, I had to walk to the halloween party I took it to, only a few blocks away. And yet, when I got there my shoulder was aching something FIERCE. You have to be careful with that fucker, it's sharp and deadly if dropped. XD

I totally forgot to comment on these earlier, but these Halloween costumes are freakin' amazing. (I wish there were more!) Dreamless Days, that sword is kind of scaring me. o_o Wow!

How long did your red stay in? Back when I dyed my hair (the first time was about...6 years ago and then and second time I did it was around 3ish years ago now), it faded really quickly, within probably a few weeks. I'm blonde though, so that might have something to do with it.

Hmnn, red in general fades real quick, no matter what your natural haircolor is. Specially if you dont wash your hair with good shampoo. Back then I had my hair done at the hairdresser every two months, you can imagine the bill on that... Recently I tried to get like, red-red but it turned out carrot orange... So I tried again, this time with the desired effect but even then it faded within a month.

Hm... I like the red streak. I've always liked rainbow colours in hair, but I don't wear it very well any more. Plus, after the fiasco I faced from trying to streak my hair plum in high school, I haven't been too fond of dying my hair. Basically, my friend and I streaked my hair with what was left of a plum, temporary dye after dying all of her hair. It turned bright pink, and instead of lasting for two weeks like it said, we were still finding pink in my hair nine months later. My hair takes to dye a little too well, but it never turns out to be the colour I want.

Pixel art can be tough, a real challenge with faces especially, because faces have to be so precise. The fewer pixels you use, the harder it is to place them all perfectly. So I'm very happy that it turned out so well.

There is a similarity, but Walken's cheekbones are more pronounced, causing a deeper set eyes and more of a gaunt look. On another note, very nice job with the lighting effects.

Helps to not use flash with a camera, and find natural lighting whenever possible. ^_^
My phone seems to take pretty good pictures regardless, if I do say so myself.
And it's not even a smartphone or anything. Technology these days...

Kalon, it's mostly in the eyes and brows that there's a similarity.

Blackrock, you looked great in that picture, and you should dress up like that more often, but I really hate the chick's dress from that angle. It makes her body look oddly shaped.

Oh wow, I didn't even notice until Kathryn mentioned it--the dress just looked normal to me. But now it does look like something is off somewhere, because it looks like her lower chest is coming out too far. Blackrock, what is the rest of her dress doing? Is there maybe a whole other section to it on the opposite side, toga-style? The more I look at it, the less it makes sense.

Damn, I knew I missed something when replying!

It was an interesting, provocative design, as far as I remember. The right side of the dress was more revealing, as you can see, while the left was...ehh, proper dress-like, I guess! So yeah, right side: bare skin reaching down to, I believe, waist-level; left side - normal cloth. I can't seem to find a suitable picture, but I hope you get the idea Razz

And yes, now that I actually tried describing it, I see that the angle of that shot shows a completely different dress. Very Happy

Interesting. So I was kinda right the first time; just didn't notice how it actually made it look odd. I'm guessing the cloth is billowing a bit in the breeze? Or like the ribbons are extending into the main part of the dress and tugging on it.
