Re: Lost Days; Dead Days OOC
Name: Riley Goski
Nickname(s): RJ, Romeo
Gender: Male
Age: 20
Appearance:
Changes to Appearance: Multiple cuts around the arms, a few around the face, and a long jagged scar on my chest that has had just enough time to heal.
Attire: Wearing a black T-shirt with a giant faded red button on the chest. Faded letters above say "Free Insults" while the button itself says "Push Here". A black Adidas cap with white trim, a light black jacket with white trim. I also wear faded blue jeans, and white 'Vans' sneakers. Red gloves can also be seen on my hands when it is cold.
Accessories: Glasses, silver necklace with a dog tag-like bauble hanging on the end with "Riley" on one side, and "2010" on the other.
Previous Occupation: Safeway Cashier/grocery clerk
Upbringing: Urban
Schooling: High School
Brief Bio: Prior to the whole "everyone's a zombie, shoot dem in da head!" phase of my life, I was a pretty boring individual. Sure, I tried to get out and hang around with my friends when I could, but truth be told, I didn't do it more than enough. When the zombie apocalypse actually began, I could not honestly believe it until I met my first zombie and was saved by a police officer. From there, my mindset had already been staged, and I bunkered down in the house with my family. Unfortunately, it is very hard to barricade a house with no weapons, and barely anything to barricade it with. So, I set off to the armoury downtown with my family, which turned out to be a pretty bad idea. During our raid on the place, which was already being torn apart by others, someone in the crowd started biting people, then another one, soon zombies were popping out of the woodwork. I managed to grab a 45. and some spare clips, along with my trusty bat and make it out of there. My family didn't, and I was forced to flee the scene and get the hell out of dodge. My family is unknown, but I'm going to have to deal with dead. I can't spend the time to look for them in a town infested with zombies, I have to focus on survival. Cold as this may be, I knew that I could turn my emotions off when I needed to. Right now, they would help me survive the best.

Nickname(s): Loki or Ben
Gender: Male
Age: 25

Shaded safety glasses

Fedora
Previous Occupation: Structural Engineering Graduate
Upbringing: Suburban
Schooling: Bachelor’s in Engineering (College)
Breif Bio: Before the outbreak I was fresh out of college though had yet to land a permanent job. Found a part-time job to hold me over while I lived with my parents until I could make an income to sustain myself and my 2-year-old Malamute, Takun.
The outbreak hit when my parents were in Washington D.C. on a business trip and cut off by any means of returning home; I feared the worst when contact was lost. My brother, who was going to school in a small college town in the middle of Oklahoma, seemed to have situated himself well as the outbreak spread, but I haven’t heard from him since the phones died. Last I heard they were planning on moving northwest, in the Idaho or Montana area because of the Texas population spilling over. Thanks to all of my dad’s tools and materials, I was able to secure the house for several months until the food reserves were nearly depleted. I loaded up the SUV with all that I could, Takun included, and drove west until there was no more fuel at my disposal. As much as it pained me, I knew that Takun stood a better chance of surviving on his own thanks to his animal instincts and heightened senses. I took his collar and walked west until he wandered off on his own accord, most likely due to the frequent zombie encounters that occurred only hours after he left. As I said, he will be much better off without me. Now it is just me, has been for several weeks as I follow random bits of graffiti that points me in the general direction of strongholds in search of my brother.

Re: Lost Days; Dead Days OOC
Okay there's two spots still open. However, in light of having my muse return to me, I think I'll be starting on the opening post tonight. Depending on how quickly I'm able to work I'll either start this tomorrow or Thursday.
Re: Lost Days; Dead Days OOC
Ookay, so last night I was running late and kinda just threw the IC up without officially announcing it. (Aside from yelling in the chat room, but that's beside the point. >.>)
So, its now OPEN!
Remember, we're all already on the base. I'd like us to all meet up as quickly as possible, since this is JUST the prologue. Its not supposed to be to terribly long.
Now, I've a few questions for all of you. Thus far I haven't planned out a definite ending. So, I want to ask: Do you want this rp to have an end? As far as I'm concerned it can be ongoing for as long as we want.
Secondly, this story is about all of us. So while I plan things for us to do and run into, I want to know if there's anything you would like to happen. A choice to face, a confrontation, something specific you would like to experience. So do some thinking! Shoot me a PM(on here or in chat if I'm around) anytime you have an idea! I'm always willing to listen and love hearing ideas, so lets get to scheming!
I'm looking forward to all your posts and ideas!

Re: Lost Days; Dead Days OOC
Just a few intense or otherwise tension building or 'creepy' or such bits of music that seem (to me) like they're rather fitting to the setting. Don't worry, they don't contain vocals!

Breif Bio: Prior to the Rise I was in a small town in Canada working at a local radio station. Though there had not been any attacks in the area, when news of the Rise was confirmed I knew my LA families evacuation plan would be in effect. Amanda and I grabbed what was needed from the house and left with her family to my Brothers in law cabin, several hours away and in the middle of the Rockies. As they began to prepare for the long haul I knew I had to begin my trip down to the rendezvous point to meet my family. And after a day of arguing with Amanda, I set off south to lead my family to our Canadian counterparts.
Things went like clock work for a while. I got down south with little trouble, the boarder guards had long abandoned their post or had been wiped out. I finally came across my family coming down the designated highway. A tearful reunion followed, followed by news I was now an only child. My brother giving his own life for his daughter. I had never been so proud of him and swore to protect her. Then everything went to hell. My father and uncle held the line to the last allowing everyone else to escape but a Camper attack separated what was left of my family. It's been more than 2 month since then and Alynna and I are still alive. And I intend to keep it that way until she gets to see her Tia (spanish for aunt) again.

Re: Lost Days; Dead Days OOC
Alright guys, so I posted. Now you can read between the lines and guess what happened to the base. So, once Quaker posts, I'll let you all know what your three choices of action are. I'll explain more of what's going to happen then.
For now, let me know what you think. I wasn't sure how to approach showing the video, so I went with my best guess. Did it work or is it horribly awkward to read? Let me know!

Re: Lost Days; Dead Days OOC
Ooookay, so Quaker's posted! Yay zombie horde!
Now then, to business. You three have three options. Feel free to talk them over both here and in the IC if you wish. I will not be joining in the vote, nor will I advise one over the other. Our fate is completely in your hands. I will say this though; throughout my posts thus far I have dropped hints and clues about our options and what they may hold in store for us.
Option One: We hole up, try and wait them out or pick them off one by one.
Option Two: We make a break for it, back track to Mountain Home and find shelter, hopefully losing the horde on the way there.
Option Three: We make a break for it and push forward to Bruneau and find shelter, hopefully losing the horde alone the way.
So, there are your options. Choose wisely, but be warned; taking too long will be a choice in and of itself.

Okay guys, so here's the deal. I'm gonna give you all a few more rounds of posting to wrap up the prologue. By then I should have the map of Bruneau ready and we'll move on to chapter one. So, get crackin!
