Thanks, Shadow and Kathryn! I had a very fun day! I finished moving into the house I'm renting with two of my classmates, so now it actually looks like someone lives there and feels very homey. Plus, my bed is ridiculously comfortable Stupid Alarm

A few of my friends were already back from Christmas break, so we went out to dinner (my mom was there too to help me move) at this delicious seafood restaurant on the water. Someone tipped off the waiter that it was my birthday before I got there, so I got a free slice of chocolate mousse pie for dessert! With a birthday candle! And it was soooooo delicious. Then my mom went back to my house because she was tired, and some of us went to my friend's place to play Mario Party on the Wii and hang out.

I'll be honest, originally it looked like my birthday would suck because I had planned to stay at home until Friday and celebrate my birthday with my family, but this big impending snowstorm forced me to scramble to leave yesterday. I was pretty upset about it, but everything turned out great in the end. I'm completely exhausted and have to hit the ground running tomorrow, but overall it's been a great day.

It's not really going to be a bad day per say, but I've just got a lot of errands and work to do. My fridge is desperately bare in the foodstuffs department, I need to go downtown and scare up some textbooks from the campus shop, I could really use a haircut, and after that I need to work on a scientific manuscript that my undergrad advisor and I are trying to get published. I meant to work on it Wednesday, but the snow kind of screwed up those plans. But at least one of my roommates is coming back this evening, and I have a swing dance tonight! I can't wait to see the rest of my classmates and my dance friends after nearly a month away Very Happy
