Foolscap Con
That's where I'll be over the weekend.
Foolscap
It's like a writer's convention, with a bunch of other stuff. Should be fun.
I'm volunteering, so I get to get in for less. ^^
It's in Redmond, WA, so if any of you living nearby want to go, let's meet up!
It's September 24th - 26th.

Re: Foolscap Con
I'm ba-ack!
It was great! ^^
Because I volunteered, I got to go for all three days for only $10 instead of $65. xD First thing I did was help set up the art show. I got to hang up some of my artwork, too, after paying $12 for a panel. Next time I'll get better prints; maybe then somebody might have bought it. ^^
I attended a lot of panels and made lots of friends. I'm actually already friends with the producers of Star Trek: Phoenix, so I was pretty thrilled when they were doing a showing of part 1 of the pilot episode. xD A bunch of people showed up for that, so it's great to see it growing steadily in popularity.
It was awesome to meet all those writers and artists. It takes a while to get used to the fact that these are people, too, not gods. It's the celebrity factor. You know their work first, then you meet them, and it's just awesome that they can be celebrities and friends at the same time.
A perk of being a volunteer is that you get to work behind the scenes, so you have extra incentive to hang out with all the people running the show.
Anything you all would like to hear more about?

Re: Foolscap Con
Most assuredly.
Remember this the next time you all want to go to a convention, everyone! Volunteer! It often gets you in for cheap! ^^
