"Next to Normal"

Ok. So on the Tony Awards on Sunday, I was introduced to a new musical called "Next to Normal". I immediately was hooked, and would REALLY like to do something along the lines of it.

Basically what the play is about is a woman who is suffering from manic depression. In the scene they showed at the Tony's, the woman was fighting with her husband about whether or not she should stop her medication. (She stops, and he wants her to keep continuing with it.) Well a few minutes into the song, a boy appears and is like "Hey Dad it's me. Why can't you see?" or something along those lines.

Well if you watch the clip you'll notice the dad NEVER acknowledges the boy, he doesn't speak to him or even look at him. This is because the woman, has made the boy up. She hallucinates him, and to her he is her super hero to come to the rescue.


Now....What I would like to do is to have two other people beside myself join. I would like to play the manic depression person honestly. But I would need someone to have to deal with the depression, and then an imaginary person.

Now I don't want to use the same storyline as them. Sooo there will be no husband and wife, and the imaginary person is not going to be a son. I figure we can come up with something, once I figure out if anyone is even interested. XD
