#1
Name: The Dark King, The Blackest Night, The Virus of Shadows
Age: 9015
Sex: No longer a physical person, but for your little minds: Male.
Appearance: An amorphous black shadow, able to take the form of a 6'6" white male in a dark suit. He wears a thin circlet of obsidian normally, and has a wild mane of flowing black hair that hangs to his feet.
Species: Literal shadow. Was once a human.
Specialty: He holds the power of pure darkness. He's not physical, he can switch polarity to make any light source a place of shadows, he can nurse wounds with dark, create armies of shadow, blot out light, possibly devour the stars themselves.
What You Sacrificed: Everything. Mind, body, soul. He is no longer the man he once was. He is something new.
Weapon: A gauntlet made of obsidian, when human. The Blacklist army when a shadow.
Personality: One word: Enigmatic.
Number: 1
Bio: The legends say he was a failing prince, struggling to take over Taerra. Some say he made a deal with a devil. Others say he made a deal with 88 of them... All that's known for sure is that he made a deal, and signed a paper. He became the owner of the paper, the Original Parchment. Anyone who willingly signed it lost their soul, but gained so much more...
Within a fortnight, he had overthrown all of Taerra. He faded from view, into the shadows. But, every king was really a puppet. And everyone knew who lead the world. The man hadn't a name, hadn't a face, but had an army numbering 999. He had the Blacklist.
Other Important Things:
- Spoiler:
Lyrica: The Blood of the Earth, a crystal that funnels and improves magic of all kinds. Very hard, very sharp and very light.
Constructs: Ancient machines that have incorporated biological processes into their machinations. They're huge, and pretty much like the Nukes of Taerra.
The Heart of Fire: A massive volcano, three days east of Tornin.
The Voice of Wind: An everpresent windstorm ten days north of Tornin
Belly of the Sea: A large inlet from the sea, volatile and never still. Four days south of Tornin.
Finger of God: A massive spire, home of Kristoff and several other important Blacklisters. In the middle of Tornin.
Kingmaker: Kristoff, the Archmage.
- Spoiler:
Name: Kristoff
Age: 785
Sex: Male
Appearance: Kristoff dresses in regal blues and deep reds, and despite his real age, looks 18. His clothes are a mix between old British royalty and an insane wizard. His cloak is deep blue, and his button-up peacoat is bloody red. His skin is pale, his eyes purple and enchanting. His hair is a straight green that frames his face. The rest of his hair is pulled into a ponytail. He fancies himself frightening, so he gave himself fangs.
Species: Human
Specialty: Kristoff is the Blacklist's resident master of the Dark Magics and Arcane Arts. He can nuke cities, and raise armies of undead. He's also handy with weaponry and is incredibly nimble. (Remember, your characters will be at this level of power also, but in differing areas)
What He Lost: His soul, compassion, understanding of love, sympathy or mercy.
Weapon: Victim - A greatsword light as a feather. It is made of Lyrica, which boosts his magic power.
Personality: Typical royal teen. He is haughty and belittles anyone who he sees as below him. As we go on, he may just open up... Maybe.
Number: 13
Bio: Kristoff was born in the middle of Taerra's Centuron War. Two regal kings were battling for the city of Durmont (our starting point and scientific center of Taerra). Kristoff was the bastard son of the losing king. He was sent into war with armor the king knew would fail, and troops the king knew would flee. Kristoff lead the charge against the massive army, when a single arrow shattered his armor and pierced his heart. He fell from his horse, blood pooling and making mud beneath him. His breath rattled in his chest as blood pooled in his wound. Through the chaotic slaughter going around him, he saw a tall man shrouded in black approach him with a quill and paper. Without thinking, Kristoff signed it. As he looked down, his wound healed, and he rose. Power flowed through Kristoff's veins. He singlehandedly devastated both armies, leaving the rival king's army to clean up before Kristoff striding off the battlefield without a scratch. Hundreds of years later, he is the Blacklist's most trusted assassin and magical advisor. Though others might be stronger magically, none have a wider understanding of it's uses, or it's functionality. In Kristoff's offtime, he invents spells and writes grimoires.
MoiraOfWords: Klaus, the Astromancer.
- Spoiler:
Name: Klaus
Age: 566
Sex: Man!
Appearance: Despite being centuries old Klaus maintains the appearance of a thirty year old man with a full head of hair, straw yellow in color. His eyes are similar to the abyss that he draws strength from, black, albeit a minor illusion placed upon them as a favor shows most people a cheery blue. Klaus traditionally wears brown pants and a white collared shirt, going for simplicity over flashy needless clothing. A watch is always in his front pocket, attached by a bronze chain. A tan vest is normally worn over the shirt, but the pocket is generally accessible.
The watch contains information about the sun, measured by a small face in the bottom right corner while the main face tells the time. Underneath the first face is another devoted to measuring other heavenly (space heavenly) matters, including nearby heavenly objects (such as comets and asteroids) and the ascent and descent of the local planets.
Species: Human
Specialty: Klaus majors in Astronomancy (manipulation of that which resides in outer space and similar portents), minors in Gravity (as a required component of his major) and has a very small passing fancy in time (mostly related to time dilation) and in part due to his plebeian profession as a clock man. During his many years, he learned the art of tessenjutsu.
What He Lost: Soul, Fear, Motivation, Libido
Weapon: Apathy, a fan made out of an meteor core. As the same calls to the same, it is useful for directing heavenly objects.
Personality: Lacking motivation and a libido, Klaus is inherently his weapon's name, apathetic. Otherwise, he is pretty much neutral and indifferent, although given a chance to tinker around with devices is quite fun.
Number: 16
Bio: After living a mostly placid life, a meteor hurtled towards his city. A man garbed in darkness walked towards him, as he calmly watched his impending doom. From the man in black came the required materials. Seeing no reason to not sign a random parchment, Klaus gained his magnificent powers. He just stood, staring at the sky, as the comet fractured into many small pieces, destroying everyone else in the city but him. In the destruction that remained there was only Klaus.
Years later, he moves from town to town working as a watchmaker, leaving when it seemed reasonable that people shouldn't suspect his age. He kept the fragments of the meteor, having fashioned it into a fan. Over the years he practiced his skill and the manipulation of his weapon, practicing to keep away the monotony. But by now, he feels it is about time he went out and did something.
Chainlinc3: Astral Collective, Dream King.
- Spoiler:
Name: The Astral Collective
Age: Well, it's initial member would be 1234, but it kinda varies.
Sex: Typically male.
Appearance: When it is retaining it's original appearance, it's a male, a little less than six feet tall with pasty skin. He/it (I think I'll just use he) rarely reveals his face, which has caused it's specifics to be forgotten even by Astral. Thusly, his face shifts fairly regularly between the various personalities he has "obtained." Usually, he wears a long white robe with crimson borders that covers his body, with the exception of his hands and lower face. The robe is patterned with runes of a slightly different color from the border-- he refuses to confirm or deny the rumor that they are dyed in blood.
Species: The original Astral was human, now it's not really a set thing.
Specialty: He manipulates dreams. Whether his subject is sleeping or awake, he can bring their dreams into reality or reality to their dreams. Nightmares become real with a flick of his wrist, and a glare can rob all joy in life. Furthermore, the more he is feared, the more powerful he becomes in terms of being able to effect reality independent of what his target fears. In other word, if he target fears clowns, he could cause all manner of clown-based changes to reality, but if his target fears HIM, his capabilities multiply greatly and he becomes able to do almost anything, even bending the basic rules of reality for the duration of his "dreams." If he cannot inspire fear in his target, he has no grasp on them, but the more the descend into terror, the more their nightmares begin to bleed into reality, which... usually ends unpleasantly for his target.
What You Sacrificed: Originally, his soul. Since then, he's lost a distinct personality, his individuality, and, finally, his mind.
Weapon: He has two.
Dreamblade of Despair- An ethereal blade forged of shattered dreams. Where a living being would be cut by a normal blade, the Dreamblade of Despair inflicts emotional pain by confronting the victim with visions—the more severe the blow, the more painful the visions it confronts the target with. In all other circumstances, it acts as a normal sword. The blade does not always appear in the same form, and can take the form of any weapon theoretically, but Astral most commonly uses it as a sword.
Dreamblade of Torment- The sister-blade of the Dreamblade of Despair, the Dreamblade of Torment inflicts physical pain where the Dreamblade of Despair would inflict emotional pain. In general, getting “cut” by the Dreamblade of Torment hurts significantly worse than getting cut by a regular blade, but the pain doesn’t last as long. Like its sister-blade, it isn’t restricted to the form of a blade, but Astral most commonly uses it as one.
Personality: At first glance, one would think that Astral is quite insane, but then one realizes that he's a collective-- only one of his facets is ACTUALLY insane. I'll discuss the other facets later, but Astral's actual personality, when it surfaces, is insane and malevolent, generally a loose cannon. He's caused quite a few problems for the Blacklist over the years, driving entire cities insane for his personal entertainment. Some Blacklisters quite enjoyed the show he put on, but most were irritated at the sheer scale of the cover-up it subsequently required in order to prevent the world coming to a halt. His other major personality is that of the Collective-- cruel, calm, and calculating. Human lives are statistics to the Collective, and even other Blacklisters are considered expendable, despite the fact that nothing could really kill them. The Collective simply wants to expand the Collective with the minds of others it deems worthy, which, more often than not, goes along with the plans of the Blacklist, or at the very least does not oppose them.
Number: 8
Bio: Originally, Astral Orrichi was a human mage, studying the art of dreamwalking. He grew adept at this profession along with his on-and-off lover Rosemary, between the two of them they far surpassed anything a mortal had ever achieved in that field. I say Rose was an "on-and-off" lover, because they weren't really a couple in traditional terms, rather, they had made a pact as young students studying magic, a pact dabbling in black magic that greatly increased both of their power. They were linked after that, and although their relationship became strained often, they could not break the bond no matter how much they wished. Some days, they were simply rivals, bitter at one another's successes, but the very next day they often were inseparable lovers. As Astral approached the age of 23, his relationship with Rose hit an all-time low as she started seeing another man. She wanted to break the bond between them, and she saw only one way to do so-- even though she would lose much of her power in the process, she had to kill Astral. She stabbed him, leaving him to bleed out in his own home. He was startled when a voice spoke to him, breaking through the fog of death that clouded his mind.
"My, my. She IS a feisty one."
Before he fully realized what was happening, he accepted the deal, adding his name to the Blacklist and feeling his wounds become instantly healed. His first order of business was to "break" Rose's unfortunate lover, an activity that became a hobby of his in later years. After that, he trapped Rose within a dream using his newfound power, separating her mind from her body and then consuming it, making them one forever. Since then, he has consumed many souls of note, which I will list after the bio. He's the loose cannon of the Blacklist, the wild card. Almost impossible to predict, yet bringing incredible forces to bear when he uses his powers correctly, the Astral Collective even has a handful of mortals that worship it as a god.
Alternative Facets:
Astral's "real" body is hard to determine, instead he has many facets that the Collective has deemed amusing, and has allowed to retain some semblance of their former selves. Astral himself is only one facet of the Collective, but he is the "primary" one in that he was the first, otherwise he is of no other importance. One or more of these may be manifested at a time, either replacing or in addition to his "real" form.
Rosemary-
Appearance: She looks to be about 22, standing about 5'5" with red hair and freckles, she's what many would call "cute." A test of her abilities gone wrong caused her bight green eyes to become cat-like, with vertical pupils. She tends to wear a red shirt with a thin black dress that obscures her feet, giving the impression that she is floating just above the ground.
Personality: Despite her cute and somewhat innocent appearance, Rosemary is incredibly cunning and even cruel. She is utterly devoted to improving her powers, and has come to view her unification with Astral as a blessing, due to the incredible power she now has access to. She isn't afraid to use her looks and feminine wiles to get what she wants, and when the Collective needs to gain entrance to a facility without the use of magic, she's the one they use. The Dreamblades typically manifest as ornate, hilt-less daggers when she uses them.
Bio: See Astral's bio, it's covered there.
Ragter: Vera, Magic and Guns.
- Spoiler:
Name: Vera
Age: 6,310
Sex: Female
Appearance: Due to the fact that she is a part of the Blacklist, she looks just as youthful as she did when she died, which was when she was sixteen. The girl has relatively short hair, due to the fact that she cut it off herself, and it stops a little bit above her shoulders; it is also dark brown in color. Her eye color is different from hair color, they being an amber color; also, they often look as if she's uninterested in what is going on. Like most teenagers, she doesn't stand at a very tall height, only being five feet exactly in height and, as for weight, ninety-eight pounds, mostly due to the malnutrition she suffered after her parents' death.
The clothes she wears are typically tomboyish in nature, which means it's exceedingly rare to find her in something like a dress. For a shirt, the girl often sports a pale gray tunic, with a matching set of bottoms. In addition to this, she often wears a brown cloak over this garb. Finally, due to her specialization, there are various belts looped around he waist, plenty of them holding guns, and all of them are connected by a thin wire.
Species: Elf
Specialty: The girl, as her guns might suggest, is a master when it comes to anything gun-related; on a minor scale, she is also rather skilled when it comes to other technologies. Throughout the years, she grew in marksmanship and other such things. She also, along the way, learned magic related to guns; so now, she can magically change the impact a bullet might have after it's fired. This ability also explains why she keeps all of her guns tied together on a wire. She is able to change their weight with this magic as well and, therefore, she can easily fire away with her many guns after she pulls just one out. Finally, she also became a rather skilled liar, to the point that she is able to make someone believe what she says for a few seconds up to a few minutes. In the most extreme of cases, this effect can last for hours or days, though it only reached the days mark once or twice.
What She Lost: Morals, Reservations as a result of lost morals, empathy, and the ability to relate to others.
Weapon: Numerous guns, as mentioned earlier; there are two special guns that she keeps strapped to either side of her legs. The first is called Dawnbreaker, and it is strapped to her right leg; when she's using it, her ability with guns increases greatly. The second one is called Duskriser, strapped to her left leg; in stark contrast to the other gun, this one increases her magical abilities.
Personality: Much like Blacklister 16, the girl is a rather apathetic person, mostly because she can't empathize with others now. However, that is where her similarity with Blacklister 16 ends, since she does tend to enjoy messing with mortals, the ones who live and die regularly each day. She tends to also be a bit on the crazy side, which causes some to wonder if she might be ditzy; thankfully, she isn't.
Number: 2
Bio: Vera is a refugee from a war that was made many years ago; after their city got bombarded for weeks by artillery, said artillery was stopped when the army of the ones in charge of the beseiged city attacked the other army from behind. During the ensuing confusion, her parents took the chance and fled; they didn't have much time and, so, that was how they ended up getting lost. They wandered for a long time, until they eventually did come upon a second city. Not wanting a repeat incident to happen, her father quickly built a house from the ground up in the woods outside of the city and that was where they lived.
She lived a good life with her parents, and she always showed in interest in technology, especially guns. When she was sixteen years old, her parents were brutally murdered by a roving band of bandits, whom drunkenly believed the family to possess riches. Obviously distraught, Vera had taken two guns of her father, which at that time were not that magical, and chased off after the bandits. She chased after them for a while and, unfortunately, her quest was in vain; she caught up with them and she was defeated soundly. A man shrouded in black approached her, and that was how she joined the Blacklisters; she ended up increasing her skill in guns, and eventually hunted the bandits down. She tormented them, making them think she was a ghost for a long while before she finally put them out of their misery one by one. Satisfied with her revenge, she stayed with the Blacklisters, enjoying the opportunity it presented to her.
Copper.Eyes: Valeria, Emotion Master.
- Spoiler:
Name: Valeria Danika
Age: 250
Sex: Female
Appearance: She looks no more than twenty – two at most and has the slim body of a runner all lean muscles and willowy limbs she stands over five foot seven. With hair that looks like blonds and browns are warring for dominance her eyes are an oddity for such a light tone, they are dark brown and look way too dark for some one with such like hair. Her skin also makes her hair look even lighter with it’s honey and peach tone. Her clothes are usually tan leather that she created for her self, her top is one long piece that she wraps over her breasts then ties behind her neck, her pants are also the same leather and have lose lacing on the front where the button and zipper should be and on the sides starting at the top and going all the way down to the bottom. Her feet are usually bare but when she has to wear shoes she prefers moccasins she created for her self.
Species: Human
Specialty: All she has to do is stare you in the eyes and you bare your soul to her your sins, your fears, you regrets and then she can make you relive those moments trapped in your own mind forever unable to escape it.
What You Sacrificed: She sacrificed all the good memories of her life, all she can remember is watching as her husband tore their newborn daughter to pieces.
Weapon: She has two steel rods that she dual wields and prefers to have some sort of fire around to make it so the steel is blood red before she kills people with them. They are the same things she used to kill her husband.
Personality: She is very remote and stays more in the background but when it comes down to it she’s a ruthless killer, who has problems with letting go. If she sees someone she thinks of as hers she watches over them and if they are in any danger she has a bad tendency to step in and take over.
Number: 26
Bio: She was married young as the daughter of a peasant they saw that as her only worth. The man she was married to was a merchants son and her parents were pleased with the pairing and she was as well, at first. Once they were married he pretty much locked her away from the world only going to her when he wanted something or to create another child. She lost so many children never going to term, finally he planned on having her killed and taking another wife when they found she was pregnant with their first child. When she was born with red hair, his rage was outrageous and he slaughtered their newborn. Her pain was so great that her soul screamed out and they came to her in her sleep offering her vengeance in place of her soul and she accepted. Later that next day what was left of her husband was found strapped to a chair where she’d tortured him
Eternity: Laylu, Paper Demon
- Spoiler:
Name: Laylu Kami
Age: 3,043
Sex: female
Appearance: [above]
-Laylu stands at a height of 5'7, with a slender, lean figure. She tends to adorn her barely sun-kissed or even somewhat fair skin in an unique dress that makes her look like a scholarly apprentice. She adorns unique periwinkle hair that is clean cut and longer in the front than the back, and has rich earthy eyes that bear an orange glint. Her nose is small, brows thin, and lips somewhat full. Her facial shape is soft, tender, and works perfectly with her physique that makes her look innocent and harmless. But looks are very deceiving.
Species: Pēpā Akuma | "Paper Demon"
Specialty: Paper Manipulation and bringing life to her origami
-Her foremost form seen is that she can create origami butterflies and bring them to life with her touch. These butterflies often seem to follow her about, or serve as bookmarks in her books or possessions.
-Origami Dolls: Laylu makes dolls that can mock human structure or animals, even some mythical things. Some are smaller, and more angular, while others can look almost exactly like the creature she models them to be. Sometimes she even takes the time to paint or clothe them, and set them out upon society- upon which they blend in rather well. Obvious weaknesses take place though. Her dolls burn easy, waver in the wind, and can grow soggy when wet. But also they make good attack weapons, as they are fast as light and unusually sharp edged.
-Other: She can do many things, paper is her domain, and her friend. Sometimes what she does with her origami can be surprising to even herself. Sometimes she can even create paper expanses that can fall over her walls and cover up doorways or exits.
-Color significance:- Something that she is training herself in is creating colored paper objects. Dependent on the colors, the origami life she brings forth has special attributes. Her first and foremost work is a small red paper raven that is resistant to fire and does not burn as easily.
What You Sacrificed: Charity. She has lost her will to help others, though sometimes she will. She gets no pleasure from the company of others nine times out of ten unless that company goes beyond friends. It makes her a hard person to befriend, and also turns events so that she is hard to make speak of gossip and lie. Laylu does not lie, her honesty is sometimes rather brutal. Also, as an unusual side effect, she cannot hear the sounds of chimes or birds chirping- two of her favorite sounds in life.
Weapon:
-Paper (anything, though she usually keeps this to paper birds, kunai, and familiars)
-Leather Whip: Woven by her father's General, and given to her as a gift of his affections.
Personality: Laylu is an intriguing woman. She leads her life in solace, and seems to have her greatest friends in fictitious paper beings. Her attitude seems ever shifting in small waves. But settling on a nonchalant emotion is rather easy, as Laylu is laid back and unbelievably calm. She rarely ever shows her anger, and also likes to keep things quiet. If she can help it, she won't speak. And she won't start conversation unless its necessary. Laylu can still find herself caring about people, but she can usually only manage one person to care about, and it makes it difficult for her to spread her little bit of caring out to multiples. She is also rather witty, smooth, persuasive when she does talk, and honest.
Number: 4
Bio: As a child she played in the fields and found her favorite things were birds, chime making, and origami practice. She filled her room with origami sculptures, and she also learned to paint said origami. It was by this that her father's war partner, General Kio-Tae Lin, found himself admiring her for a wife. His affections were sent for her in many ways, be it paper and paint, or even the leather whip he wove with his bare hands for her. But Laylu rejected his affections.
-
When she became a woman, her family married her to Kio-Tae, and she learned to be happy. But as if overnight, he became another man. Unappreciative and violent. Upon a night he hit her, and she used the very whip he'd given to her to attack him. Laylu scarred Kio-Tae with a gash diagonally down his face, and he hated her. It was then he went and sold her soul to the Blacklist, out of spite and anger. She took his face and pride, so he took her soul. A fair trade in his eyes.
-
Over the years since, she has found herself rather lonely and burdened, but she exists nonetheless. She has a slight insecurity with men that makes her harder to get along with them, but she manages enough. Laylu has lost most of her fears beyond that, and spends her immortal life filling her world with her hobbies of chimes and origami, though her chimes grow more scarce with the years- as she grows deaf to them.
TheColorIsRed: Grieves, Shadowman.
- Spoiler:
Name: Grieves M. Lawrence
Age: 4,012
Sex: Male
Appearance:
http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_zs6sk59UDwo/SpV3eJ5QX9I/AAAAAAAACAI/Gze6ARgS3IE/s400/TykiMikk.png
No one understands why Grieves has those crosses on his head. He said that it was some form of voodoo magic that he once did, but he's not saying anything. It doesn't show in the picture, but he also has the same crosses on both of his wrists. (Plan to reveal this in the RP when he gets stronger)
Species: Shadow Creature
Specialty: Grieves specializes in the art of shadow manipulation. He is a master of his own shadow and can control it freely, which is basically like a carbon copy of himself. Likewise, he can also control other people’s shadows simultaneously (provided they have one) and merge/disappear in the darkness. And yet for some reason, Grieves finds it difficult/nearly impossible to control "The Dark King." Being a shadow creature, Grieves can also ‘go through’ people (similar to how a ghost does). Aside from these shadows tricks, he is also well versed in the art of voodoo. He can hex or curse people within range, only by observing their physical appearance. If he needs to control a victim from a very long distance, he needs a picture of the victim in order for him to pass on the curses. While he is currently able to shape shift, there are few fine details that he still needs to perfect (especially if he needs to shape shift into an entirely different species), but for the most part – he is able to fool most people. Personality-wise, Grieves is a charmer, having convinced and seduced a lot of males and females to his will. He doesn’t enjoy lying; he just leaves out the facts every once in a while.
What You Sacrificed: Soul, Concept of True Love & True Friends,
Weapon: His own Shadow/himself (see Specialty)
Personality: If there were something Grieves didn’t lose upon signing onto the Blacklist, it would be his libido. He’s still a bit surprised why he didn’t become an incubus instead. In any case, Grieves enjoys and pursues apathetic/hard-to-get men and women, even if it means abusing his position in the Blacklist. If you’re wondering, he preferably likes a woman on top. For first impressions though, Grieves seems to be laid-back and contented with life; however, not many people know whom he’s particularly mad at in the Blacklist or what he’s thinking because he refuses to side with anyone on anything except for sexual favors. He thinks often as well, sometimes spacing out because he’s too involved with his own thoughts, which sometimes makes him a suspect in many undesired conflicts. He enjoys being creative as well as curious, always trying to look at different things in different angles – so he might be irrational at times for creativity’s sake. He also gets a bit restless when the mood’s too serious, cracking an awkward joke just to break the dismal atmosphere. In the Blacklist, he is mostly likely labeled to be a “civilized whore.”
Number: 3
Bio: Grieves ran away from home when he was a child, abandoning his boring routine lifestyle for something more “exciting.” His parents never found him, and Grieves spent his life on the streets – learning the tricks of the trade and getting his hands dirty in petty crime, and his most favorite industry, prostitution. Sadly they were found out, and Grieves escaped to find other opportunities and found voodoo as an alternative. He managed to grow up into being a perfect con artist, using his manipulative tongue and voodoo magic to “solve people’s problems.” Grieves had a large bounty on his head at that time, stealing and tricking people from town to town.
Unfortunately, a mortal man could do so much. Pretty soon, Grieves got tricked himself by the only friend he opened up to – who turned out to be a bounty hunter. He was then tortured and left to die. Seeing that he was near death, a mysterious figure approached and invited him to join the Blacklist with the thought of revenge. They apparently were just starting, seeing as how he was only the third to sign. Grieves signed and clarified with the figure that it wasn't for revenge but for something else. Until this day he never really clarified the reason why he signed.
Mercinus3: Haku, the Bullet-Bouncing Vampire.
- Spoiler:
Name: Haku Himotoro
Age: 2960
Sex: Male
Appearance:
Much of his body was ravaged with the lack of shadows to hide in, with most of his body having burns that made it seem like he had been in a fire. Standing at 6'5”, he would stand out from the crowd without much problem. His face, although slightly burned from being in the sun too much, still had that handsome appearance that most beings of his race had, just so he is able to enchant them and then kill them so he could survive. His purple eyes have the curiosity and the lack of feelings in them from the time that he had lost his feelings.
Much of his apparel is similar to what a bounty hunter would wear. His massive greatcoat, charcoal grey in colour, covers his entire body so he wouldn't get burnt from the fierce glare of the sun, which is topped with a very long, black paisley-patterned bandanna, with the unused fabric behind the knot go down his back. Underneath the greatcoat is a black, cotton shirt and a pair of black trousers. He has two holsters on either side of his torso, which holds both his guns. Down his legs, there are a few sheaths for throwing knives, which is another one of his favourite weapons behind the steampunk pistols. His boots used to belong to a horse rider, with the patterns on the black leather are patterns that often made people think that they were cowboy boots.
Species: Vampire
Speciality: Haku has developed his marksmanship, much like Blacklister #2. However, with the lack of magic that #2 had, he had gained a sense of accuracy and knowledge of angles that he is able to pinpoint any enemy around him and able to shoot in that direction without too much difficulty. The one thing that he has mastered over the years is able to ricochet the bullets off any surface in the direction he wants it to reach his target, no matter if he hadn't seen any the path that is ahead of him. He has also had a sense of demolition and is able to concoct any explosive and find the weakness of most things in an instant, with the more complex objects taking more than a minute.
What You Sacrificed: His soul, most of his feelings elsewhere, especially compassion and mercy, his duration of needing blood (which he now needs every 2-3 days instead of a week while he was leaving)
Weapon: Despite the use of explosives (which are usually in the pockets of his greatcoat) and the use of throwing knives, he is often seen with two guns:
-Fate: One of the two steampunk pistols that he mainly uses. The smooth barrel of the gun allows it to be accurate at a close range and one of the best weapons for his type of fighting: shooting enemies that are around him without him seeing where they are. Both of the guns have a side tube, which has a small, round pocket that is able to hold several bullets that allows him to not reload as often as flintlock pistols. The firing mechanism is similar to a flintlock, which is that gunpowder is fed through to the back of the barrel by another mechanism, with the trigger sending an electric shock through the powder that allows it ignite and send the bullet out of the barrel. Although it looks crude, it is a very effective weapon for those that want to fight in close quarters. The stock of the gun is seen in a fiery red colour.
-Destiny: The second pistol that Haku has. Unlike Fate, this gun has a much longer barrel, with the inside of it having spiralled grooves in it. For distant enemies or use of a ricochet, the vampire uses this weapon for that, since the grooved barrel allows the bullets to go much further without too much energy being lost from hitting objects. Much like the mechanism in Fate, Destiny has a side-fed tube that has a circular bulge in it. However, the bulge is much larger than Fate's because most of the time while he is fighting, the enemies are much further away for the other pistol to work efficiently. The stock of the pistol is seen in a relatively cool blue-purple colour.
Personality:
Haku is usually the strong, silent type when he's around most people, mainly because he lost his idea of emotion and feeling when he joined the Blacklist all those years ago. The only thing that he now feels is the idea of guilt that he had joined the Blacklist all those years ago, robbing him of his former life and the eternal piece that was granted to him. The only other feeling that he feels, which he is losing in recent times is hate. The spite that he feels of being on the list in the first place, plus the feelings of his eternal death being robbed from him, had made him turn into a cold person, often lashing out at everyone around him.
Number: 5
Bio:
Haku had lived an ordinary life as a hired hunter for an important vampire family, killing everything that had threatened the family's life. It had paid him enough for him to get through life, though not for food or the occasional prostitute that some hunters usually go for during their rather lonely job. He mainly spends it on more ammo and other ways of improving his weapons, which ended up bring about his two favourite pistols, Fate and Destiny. During one, fateful day, which led towards his death, he was ambushed by enemies of the family and, as punishment to the deaths of all their comrades. As the sun rose above the horizon, burning his skin due to the intensity, Haku roared out and swore his revenge, his feeling of hate outshining the light that was killing him. Hearing his cries, the Blacklister came to him and, knowing that Haku wanted to live, showed him the Blacklist, with the dying vampire gladly signing it.

Re: The Blacklist

Re: The Blacklist
Oy, don't start without me!
Name: Ailey Dalaigh
Age: 1652
Sex: Female
Appearance: Ailey is not a particularly special looking individual. He is an average looking, slender woman of 5’8” with long brown hair descending to her mid back. Her eyes are an almost muddy seeming color of hazel, yet their gaze is sharp. Over the years, Ailey has gotten into a habit of wearing the ceremonial garb of her former people that being a simple white robe underneath a forest green cloak with golden trim.
Species: Human
Specialty: Ailey’s specialty lies in the natural world, namely that of flora. Her control over plant life is astonishing. She can create a lush grove of trees from a barren desert at a thought, and turn an entire forest into a wasteland at a moments notice. She also has managed to stumble upon an ancient art from long before her time, that being shapeshifting. It isn’t quite as simple as one would expect, though. It requires an intricate ceremony and a bonding with the form on animal you wish to become, but the benefits are great.
What You Sacrificed: Her soul, her compassion, and her faith in humanity.
Weapon: Ailey rarely uses any form of material weapon, but she does carry an atheme with her at all times
Personality: Ailey was once a cheerful individual, whose smile would brighten a room, and whose laughter could make a flower bloom. This personality was perverted by not only the loss of her soul, but also the events that lead up to it. She is now a cold and ruthless person who could care less for any form of human life. She is also prone to rather violent outbursts. Ailey does still care for one thing and that is the natural world. She was an animist before she joined the Blacklist, and she continued after she joined. Unfortunately her love of the natural world does not extend to people in any way.
Number: 6
Bio: Before joining the blacklist, Ailey lived a happy life. She was a druid, and part of a large grove that kept mostly to themselves. By the age of twenty, Ailey had gained much respect from her family and friends for being adept in channeling and being in harmony with the Earth and all that was on it, and Ailey seemed to be on the fast track to being a great High Priestess as her mother was before her.
Unfortunately things began to take a turn for the worse, although it didn’t seem that way in Ailey’s eyes. She was chosen to lead the ritual of Beltine at the tender age of 22, and everything seemed to be going right for her. During the ritual something terrible happened. There were men in the world at that era of time who hated everything the Druids stood for, believing that their worship of the earth was some kind of insane demonic worship, and they had set out to stop it.
Their path of blood lead them right to Ailey’s grove during the Beltine ritual. The druids were firmly pacifists, believing that harming another was like harming the earth itself, and they died for their belief. Ailey watched in horror as those around her were slaughtered, defenseless and scared. Ailey was saved for last, a sword skewering her against a tree. As life faded from her, Ailey saw a cloaked man approach her, holding something. He offered her a quill, and without thinking Ailey signed what appeared to be a paper that the man was holding. To this day she doesn’t even know why she signed the paper. She just felt she had to.
