Yes. I want to do a RP with "nekos" as most call them. Now, I don't want only felines or canines. I'm tired of seeing wolves and cats everywhere. I'm putting a limit on how many of those there can be. I'd like to see some snakes and birds maybe even a skunk or something.

So its obvious by this I want people with just the ears and tails, not full anthromorphs.

The plot is something I'm working on. I had a dream about this about a week ago and I thought it'd be an interesting idea.

So far, I think they will all live together in a government facility where they are studied and tested on. They have rooms they share with the other member of their species. As of when we start, they are thinking of planning a rebellion and an escape so they can live on their own and make their own rules.

Takun has the canine properties from this alaskan malamute. He shares the same pointed ears that are black on the back and white with pink on the inside. The tail is in the exact same, just a little bit larger to fit his proportions. Like the canine he was derived from, he shares the same black marking that goes from the top of his head, passing in-between his deep brown eyes, and ends at the tip of his black nose. Similarly, he has slightly larger and more pointed canines than what a normal person would have; as well as more fuller hands that have pointed fingernails that are more effective at digging and getting more traction while hauling rather than using them for attacking. Much like the malamute breed, Takun has a large, powerful chest and legs that helps him carry and haul large loads.

Personality: Typically calm, quiet, and always observing his surroundings, but has a tendency to become hyper and playful whenever he gets bored; he has a very strong pack instinct due to his canine genes. This instinct makes him extremely loyal to whomever he views as the "Alpha" and will not hesitate to perform any task assigned to him by that role. Though that is not to say he is a drone, if his leader shows signs of being reckless, selfish, or weak, Takun will no longer view them as the pack leader and cease following orders. As a safety precaution, his handlers made it a point to condition him so that he will never strive for "Alpha" status among his "pack". If separated from his "pack" or "Alpha" for prolonged periods, he is likely to become extremely aggressive and reckless, often releasing his frustrations on whatever is around him.

Canine Abilities
-Enhanced hearing and sence of smell. As such is sensative to loud noises or harsh smells.
-Increased endurance
-Resistance to cold
-Excellent strength, especially when pulling and carrying.

Okay. I've narrowed my decision down to two choices, the caracal and the cheetah ((with cheetah being in first place)), based on the images I found. I know that you said you only want characters to essentially have the ears and the tail, but my question is this:

Would it be all right for me to have a character who had the cheetah markings/colouring all over the body as opposed to simply having the markings only on the ears and tail? This is what I mean.

Venom is something of a work in process. So far, she is a merging between the good qualities of a human and the good qualities of a snake. Though she has many flaws, she is both seen as a failed experiment, and a great possibility.




SPECIFICS ABOUT HER NATURE AND HOW FAR HER SERPENT GENES GO:::

-Venom is covered in scales, that are thin and usually a green tone. They seem to shift colors every now and then depending on her mood.
-She has a poisonous bite that does not kill, but instead can put one into the same state as acid might. (If the bite is quick and short, it only mellows out a person and slows their reactions. But if the bite holds for a few moments, the venom can cause hallucinations and extreme lagging of one's reactions).
-Her body is light, as her bones are not all bone, but instead many are cartilage compacted together with excess tendons, allowing her flexibility beyond human reaches. Although, due to this, she is not as strong as she is agile and athletic. But, as well, due to this- she is almost impervious to broken bones and can slip through tight spaces.
-Her jaw can unhinge, thus how she bites a person. The bite itself is not a fatal injury. Instead, it is a small bite and appears much like two small punctures along the wounded area.
-Her black tongue can detect vibrations.

At one point, she was leaning more to the human side of things- but due to repeated testing again and again, she is more snake-like than before. Her organs are in a different order, and she has trouble eating- usually causing her to pass out due to accidental starvation. As well, her heart murmurs due to the casing recently placed around it, allowing it free movement along the right side of her chest to help her avoid losing function of it by some form of strike to the chest.

-Also, her eyes- which were as well once human- are now a fluorescent yellow. As she could once see easily, she now can only see faint shadows and heat formations, and must rely upon a slender forked black tongue to detect vibrations in the air and earth.

I want to know if she goes too far, because this is a character I already had designed.

Species: Common Rat (mostly woodland but has been known to stray in to houses)

Appearance:
Small for a child. Has a long tail, reaching well past her feet for another foot. Its completely bare skin with wrinkles. She tries to hide it in her trousers, wrapping it around on of her legs, being slightly embarrassed about it. This gives her balance issues when walking about.
She also has pink rat ears, protruding from the top of her head instead of human ears. They are very sensitive to the slightest sound and partly opaque. She keeps her brunette hair shoulder length and messy in an attempt to hide them.
She did have whiskers, but in the attempt to look 'normal' she would keep them trimmed, or short.
Her eyes are a deep blue and always watching for things that might jump out at her. She does have freckles which cover her cheek bones and nose.
Rachel is very thin. Some might think unhealthily so. She hasn't developed or come in to puberty yet, so her hips are small, as well as her chest.

Personality: (Not the full thing - just what to expect) Rachel is very shy and timid. She does not trust easily and is likely to hide at the first sign of danger. She is constantly on the look-out for anything dangerous. She is also very reluctant to try anything new.

Appearance: What the hell.
Lee is a short boy, skinny, and barely 120 pounds in weight. His eyes are "masked" by black ring-like markings, and a four-foot-long ringed tail sprouts from the base of his spine. His human heritage is distinctly Asian, his slanted eyes accenting the mask markings on his face. His flattish nose is vaguely pink-tinted, and his pupils are so large as to obscure the irises of his eyes completely. The white hair on the top of his head is thick, but short, like fur. Two black-furred ears poke out of the sides of his head.

Personality: Lee is young, curious, and simultaneously playful and serious. He is nearly manic in his mood swings, dancing frivolously about one moment and sitting in rapt contemplation the next. (You said you didn't want too much here.)

Bio (or rather, notes): Lee is an experiment dealing almost solely with increasing human agility. So far, it seems to have worked. During one of his excitable moods, he can be seen literally bouncing off the walls, scrambling all over anything and everything without the slightest hitch in his balance. They say that cats always land on their feet, but Lee never has to land in the first place; he never falls. He's passed every test put to him thus far: ricochet-jumping, tightrope walking, swinging...all save the long jump, for which his pre-pubescent muscles simply aren't well-developed enough.

Appearance
Meera stands at a height of five feet and nine inches. Her chest and ribcage are a bit deeper, but the rest of her is lithe with a narrow waist. Her muscled are toned and built for the speed she inherited with her species.

Most of her skin is a sandy tan colour with round spots all over that area, including along the sides of her face. However, stretching from the top of her neck to her pelvis, the area is a pale, white-ish tone. The spots that cover her body aren’t as dark as they would be on a cheetah, but they resemble those of that species.

Meera’s hair is a vivid red that falls mostly straight just past her shoulders, and it has a slightly coarser feel to it than normal hair. She tends to keep a couple braids intermixed with the rest of it. Poking through the hair are two ears that are sandy-tan on the back and white on the inside. The tips are black. Her face is heart-shaped, and within it sit two large, golden eyes that were naturally rimmed in black from birth. Her nose ((despite what the picture shows)) is a bit wider with slightly larger nostrils to allow her to take air into her enlarged lungs easier. Her lips are a bit fuller, though her itself mouth is a bit small.

Her tail which is used as a rudder by which she steers as she runs is almost three feet in length, and it’s covered in the spots that speckle her skin; however the spots merge to form six rings around the end. The very tip of the tail ends in a bushy white tuft. Her hands and feet are very human in shape and size, but they are tipped with semi-retractable claws.

Okay, so after reading Eternity's post, I think she's got the right idea with having the characters be friends initially. It would make them more trusting to one another as they hatch their escape plan, and they would work better together, I think.
