Yet another One on One Empty Yet another One on One

Post by Guest Mon Jun 14, 2010 4:34 pm

I am looking to start another one on one RP, but I'm looking to step out of my usual genres. I am so not picky about which genre this might be - as long at it remains 14A. I usually do something in a dystopian climate, which is wonderful, but I do it a lot.
If you have any ideas, throw them by me. I'm most likely to say yes Smile

I could do a one on one but I've got a few going on already.

I might be interested but it depends though, on how fast you want this to go.

Oh goodness I really don't mind how fast it goes. I lied, actually. If you only post, like, once a week I might be a little grr at you. But otherwise anything is fine.

Alright then, I guess I can still squeeze in one more rp. Smile

So what's this one going to be about? Shall we brainstorm?

Hmm. I have not done a fantasy in a very long time. Maybe that would be a good genre to try again, actually. Smile

Medieval huh, sounds good. I kinda have a few of that going on.

Should we go for the usual knight-y approach? Or something along the lines of freelance mercs in a ravaged land?

Freelance Smile But I actually prefer the idea of being chased by something than chasing something else.

That sounds doable. So, freelance peeps being chased by something else in a medieval setting for what?

-Probably a key to some treasure or ancient power rumored to grant eternal existence?

-A deed they committed that caused a drastic change to the land which made them ultra major wanted criminals? Razz

or...?

I like ultra-major criminals. Smile Perhaps they were merely in the wrong place at the wrong time and were forced to work together because of it? Maybe they witnessed some sort of crime that the government was trying to conceal?

Witness to a crime? Interesting thought, how about this:

-Freelance peeps stumble upon a meeting between the high officials of a certain kingdom, then witnessed some sort of ritual/crime and out of goodwill, tried to do something about it. They ended up making things worse and were now branded as high profile targets and are hunted by the kingdoms and numerous hunter/mercenary guilds.

What do you think?

I like it Smile I think we can work with that. What would this ritual/crime be? Maybe the officials are secretly organising a slave trade? Or some such?

Errm... slave trade? No, no, it has to be something deeper.

Hmm,... how about they witnessed one of the high officials making a pact with a creature/demon (the ritual) and overheard their plans to conquer the land.

When some of the other high officials disagreed, the one who made a pact with creature/demon decides to kill those who said Nay. (the crime)

Jumping out of their cover to save the day, freelance peeps ended up destroying the ritual's seal in the heat of battle and thus, released the creature/demon to wreak havoc upon the land. (the deed)

Now they are branded as the people who released the creature/demon and became super wanted by almost everybody in the land. (the outcome)

Of course, freelance peeps won't allow themselves to be blamed for something they did not do right? So, freelance peeps journeys all over the land searching for a way to seal the creature/demon and bring the conspirator to justice. (the goal)

Any good?
